Yes the razor sword exists in vanilla you can turn the razor sword into the gilded sword which is the best 1 handed sword also without the mask of truth the dog race is actually basically impossible unless your super lucky as there's no one dog that is the best every time the best dog is always random

9:40, you don't need beans and water to get all the skulltulas, you just need the hookshot and Deku or Fierce deity mask to jump on the second floor of the main room
The couples mask is usually a really difficult challenge that doesn't give you any special powers. Pretty useless but when I played through the game, I got it to 100% the game.

super excited to see this video, but a little heart broken your first full playthrough of such a good game is randomized. i'm sure you know what you're doing, but it's such a good and timely game that's worth exploring.
@@theunpopularcuber9554 easier nothing, they made it to only appear after beating the blue one so you couldn't avoid picking it up to beat the boss without it, cause they also added walls to the boss level so you couldn't fall off and have to restart the whole boss fight again. If the mask was in the same spot as before, you wouldn't be able to leave the boss fight to go get it, since the mask is now a requirement to beat the red titan. The mask was moved to avoid getting the player stuck in a battle where the red one's tail weakness disappears after the blue one is defeated. The only way to beat the red one is to literally beat it to the ground and either strangle it, or swing it by its tail, like a ball and chain, against the ground.

When we played this game, we did it on an emulator, and whenever we used the lense of truth, the screen just went black, so it did nothing. This part is EASY without the lense. You know what _isn't_ easy? The ice wall. That place was a nightmare, it took FOREVER with all that trial and error, trying to remember, and the path was long (unlike here.)
I see comments around the internet complaining about speedrunners, that always say shit like “oh they’re ruining the point of the game by not playing it correctly” and there’s the obvious response of “no one actually just speedruns a game they’ve never played normally before”. Then there’s Linkus, who’s apparently never done a casual run of Majora’s Mask before. You really should do a casual run, Majora’s Mask has some of the best dungeons in the series, especially Stone Tower, which you’ve said you’ve never even touched before.
I don't know if it is my autistic brain, but it felt so good that the postman game at 14:42 was "perfect" at 10 seconds when the game timer was at 3:10:00...satisfying
So the ad game is basically a non 8-bit underwater Celest. Nice. It looks almost exactly like Celest. All the way down to how you have the power to do a special jump and climb and the special jump replenish orb.
Not to belittle the accomplishment, that's awesome, but a bit premature to say you've "completely mastered" it if you're still working on mastering it. x3

I remember my MM rando was pretty crazy. I did swordless start, so I spent a lot of the run with only the Great Fairy Sword as my main weapon. Also I randomized every location, which meant checking every single rupee, but that also includes the out-of-bounds rupee. I had casual logic, so I knew that it wouldn't have any required item. I was also missing the Song of Soaring and couldn't find it anywhere, so I cheated. Where was it? _The out-of-bounds rupee!_ I was also able to get not only Light Arrows, but also Chateau Romani fairly early so I ended up using Light Arrows for much of the run because why not?
It would be funny but most randomizers use logic which means an item can't be locked behind and area that you need to get to it, like in oot the Longshot wouldn't be the boss reward in water temple

38:25 Yes, the Giant's Mask is usable only in Twinmold's chamber and it either makes the fight easier (N64 version and all ports such as the NSO version on switch) or is legitimately 100% required but it's fine because you can't miss it (3DS version). Yeah, they changed it in the 3DS version. Rather than both worms attacking you at once, they're color-coded. You have to defeat the blue one with arrows, the way you thought was just the way you were supposed to beat it, and destroying the blue one spawns a chest with the Giant's Mask which you then need to use for the red one.

This is incorrect, you can actually make the jump using a roll for the extra momentum.
Also the fierce deity mask is only usable in boss rooms so you can’t use it to platform

That last sound in the last temple was not redeads but it’s the sound the final boss makes mainly the the dancer form
