Most LVP (Luxury Vinyl Plank) installation tutorials I've seen are for a single room, but I had the task of installing new floors throughout my whole renovation. I wanted to do this without breaks in the floor where I'd need to use transition strips. This seamless work takes a little longer to set up and gives you a little less "wiggle room" while you're working, but gives you a really premium look. Hopefully this video helps you on a similar install. If you have any helpful advice that I missed or if you see me doing someone wrong let me know In the comments so that it can be a helpful resource to other DIY'ers. Thanks for watching!
I was very happy with the Flooret floors I used, they have a great color, good variety of print/patterns to reduce duplicates, and quality materials. I'd use Flooret LVP flooring again and I totally recommend them.

Hi, My name is Mike Montgomery and I'm a MAKER; a designer, builder, and full-time content creator. Accessibility is my focus with Modern Builds, not simply accessibility of designs, but accessibility in materials, information, and projects themselves. I've focused on creating furniture and DIY projects that are simple enough that any beginner maker can accomplish, yet interesting enough that any expert might be inspired. Building and making is becoming less and less of an exclusive hobby and profession. My goal is to reduce that separation even further. - Хобби
Ignore the rude comments. This is the best tutorial I’ve seen and exactly what I needed. Thanks!
this man is in no way rude nor made any rude comments so what are you talking about?
As a former floor guy your tips are perfect. Amazing job👏👏
@@TheRealPhenri and that's what it's for, the diyer
@@TheRealPhenri
Then why did you sit and watch the entire video genius?
@@TheRealPhenri This guy really thought he was doing something with that comment
Mike got the worlds most square house!
and I was waiting for the bathroom to be shown
Rookie DIYer here. This was is very much appreciated. Thank you.
This is how my significant other wants our LVP. Thanks for this - I think it will make our install easier.
This is exactly the way I visualized having the flooring seamlessly laid out in my house. Thank you so much for this video tutorial. I’m almost gaining confidence that I can do this myself…. gulp. Other videos have thoroughly convinced me I could NOT do this myself but yours is helping change my mind!
I’m in the same boat
This guy is a great teacher and did a fantastic job. He won me over at using the painters tape to not get any dust under the already laid planks, what a clean freak perfectionist. ❤❤❤… I mean professional
I really enjoy watching you because you do not come off being snobbish and know it all.
Nice! Straight to the point. Great job.
Can you please do a video reinstalling baseboards and trim around doors?
Wow. Amazing.
I’m glad you at least did underneath the oven. I don’t know how many times I’ve done some repairs to find the floor underneath the oven unfinished.
Flooring install brought to you by the energizer bunny. 😉Now this old lady needs a nap. LOL Very nice work!
you always do a great job and love your energy.
Man, those floors came out awesome! Nice job and appreciate you explaining everything!!
This is insanely amazing! What a job! Congrats!
the house looks so dang clean now! Great job!
You’re doing an amazing job anything better than I ever could. Liked the long video.
That was one of your best videos. The floors turned out great.
Looks fantastic!
This is an awesome tutorial!! It gives me the confidence to tackle reflooring our kitchen.
Seems seamless enough for me. Good job!
Looks amazing can’t wait to try it on my floors
that satisfying feeling when you see it all coming together 🥰🥰
The lines running the length of the house are so satisfying.
You’re doing an incredible job. Learning tons from your videos.
Awesome job! Nothing like a good blank canvas to move into. Your renters will appreciate it.
This video is great; everything I need as I begin to plan my basement flooring project.
Great job, it looks amazing.
The Best thing of this video is that he goes straight to the point. Brilliant work as well.
Gorgeous end product! Thanks for the info/video.
Great job Mike 👌
Great work, Mike!
Outstanding!! This video will help take me to the next level. Well appreciated!!
Best lvp project i have ever seen, great job🎉
I really need to thank you for introducing me to Henrys. It saved me when I was tiling my bathroom.
Thanks so much for doing this video, it's exactly what I was looking for in order to tackle my home!!
Turned out great... Nice work!!
Loved the indepth video, very informative and right to it. Thanks for the info and I'm subscribed. Great job and good video shots.
Amazing job Mike
By far the bst LVP install video I've seen. Great Job my friend and greetings from Bossier City,La
Your video quality has substantially gotten better i really like the way you call out your mistskes and are truly trying to learn !!!!
This work is not easy
Mike, you steal my carpenter's heart❣️
It looks really good. Great tips.
Gorgeous. I was surprised how you did everything and made it seem possible for me to lay LVP in my own home. Thank you.
We used the Tilden LVP from Flooret for our home too! They’re amazing! :)
Wow, that is a lot of work. Super Pro!
Wow, great job !
This video was perfect! Covered just about everything I wanted to know before tackling my LvP install
I guess 3D printing and flooring meet somewhere bc I have a bell on your channel and here you are lol
This is an amazing tutorial!
I am a perfectionist about to lay vinyl... again. I appreciate your attention to detail.
Thanks to you, I was able to lay the floor in my daughters without issue AND fix the error in my own! THANK YOU!!!!!!!
Looked really nice 👍
Great work!
Amazing job! I got a huge project that we want no transitions. It’ll be my 1st time.
Great job! Congrats from Argentina
love it you did an amazing job
Thank you!!!! Great video
Looks nice!
Looks great!
Looks amazing
Its good that you filled those grout lines. Grout lines can create a hollow sound when walking on it
Fantastic video. You’ve come a long way.
Same floors I have. They are great!
Great job!
Love your videos, looks so sick!
Super Pro!!!! Nice job!!!
Excellent video
Thank you
Hello! like the work you do🔨 greetings carpenter from Norway🇳🇴👍
You did so damn good this made me so excited to watch
Great job 👍🏴
awesome job!
thank you!!!! I was worried I wouldn't be able to install in the opposite direction going into other rooms. I just went and grabbed two scrap pieces... works just fine lol. worrying for nothing. seriously thank you soooo much dude.
havn't watched to the end yet, but so far your video is the best one of the hundreds i have watched.... no one really talks about how to hide the gap around the kitchen, bathroom cabinets, or up against a tub or shower
you rock! thanks for the tutorial 👏
"If, like me, you're not a genius..."
BTW, this is GENIUS work you've done here.
AFTER INSTALLING THIS RECENTLY, I CAN TELL YOU, AN ELECTRIC PLANER IS INVALUBLE!!!!
A lot of work, but it pays! It's very fine and beautiful! 👍
Great job. I would highly recommend in the future removing old flooring first. 1 it lightens the load on your house 2 it gives you the chance to screw down plywood underneath if you have squeeks 4 its amazing how often you find rotten plywood especially in bathrooms near toilet 5 it usually makes all your rooms you put new flooring to the exact same height. I know this is a flip so time and money should be minimized. All in all it turned out great
Awesome tip. Curious, when you screw down the plywood/osb subfloor underneath for squeaks what type of screw and length do you use?
@@Obtuse94 i buy subfloor screws they come lubricated just for this purpose. I cant remember the length but there is only one type branded for this they are brown or brassy coloured at Home Depot
but the whole point is not to mess with the wood under especially since he is showing a dry area and look at the theme and title of the video. Otherwise, might as well spend the time and money fixing and refinishing the wood.
Great job Mike. Really enjoying this series.
Great video
Awesome video! The best I have seen. Curious as to how much more you would charge to do a home with NO transitions compared to using them. I know this is extra work (and time).
Excellent
I really wish I'd watched your video before I did my LVP flooring.
Excellent.
Nice Job
Fantastic! 😉
It looks so much better. I would love to see what the arv is, how much you totally spend on this, and how many months was the rehab.
I love these floors on my rentals. I have installed it them for many other clients too, and I think they are (overall) a great floor. For some reason, I can't seem to want them in my own home.🤷
By the way, thar vinyl floor cutter is worth it. Especially you have many square ft to install-get it.
Bros the ChrisFIX of home improvement.
Love this series! What knee pads are you using? I can’t find quality ones. Thanks!
Great video, but I have an honest noob question: I have seen other videos where the ends of the boards have a positive lock (i.e. you don’t have to tap the boards together lengthwise). Wouldn’t that be a better type of board to get?
Awesome job!!! And I'm guessing by the original hardwood your home is a few decades old, hence it has amazing "good bones" ... = everything was so square… they don't build them like that anymore! I'm just doing vinyl/ laminate in my seven-year-old home and things are wacky wack out of square ;((
I have used double sided tape + 2x4 for those situations I can't get a pull bar in as well.
Good job on the floor. It is just me, but I am sad see all the great hardwood and covered up.
Super pro!
Man I love how thorough you are woth these all the flooring vids have been amazing, going seamless makes a huge difference wow.
but i think flooring around the bathroom vanity was one shortcut I'd avoid as now you won't be able to replace it ever.
Great video. Enjoyed the whole thing beginning to end.
Awesome!! Thanks a ton :)
awesome video about to do bathroom next weekend and sometime this century my kitchen lol i assume you finished that ;bathroom with trim to hide the gaps and hold down the flooring?
excellent video. i have watched many flooring videos and confused about underlayment. Some say you need an underlayment with LVP and some say no? I did my upstairs in LVP and i did not use a foam or any type of underlayment. Is underlayment needed or no?
