As a leaf’s fan (unfortunately) I really miss hyman man. Bunting has the same scoring potential playing on the same lines but the heart and grit that Hyman comes out with every night is unmatched. Really wish we hadn’t let him walk
he's great but players that play this type of game have a short shelf life when they sign a contract like he did, 2-3 years into it his body will have too many hard miles on it and will still be a huge hit against the cap. defensemen generally have an older aging curve but look at Muzzin for example. Ofc there's the argument that you're still getting good years, and you are, but then there's a long term asset management perspective.
Agreed 100%. Thank Dubas for letting all of our players walk for free though. We could have gotten some picks or decent players if we traded them ahead of letting them walk.
it was entertaining. that should have been a penalty. this is how the game gets away from the refs and players start taking runs at each other which can lead to injuries, fines, suspensions, etc

the thing is, Pavelski's hit is still a clean hut, as his head was still at the glass and not the boards. If he was slightly lower, yeah probably a boarding.
