    As a leaf’s fan (unfortunately) I really miss hyman man. Bunting has the same scoring potential playing on the same lines but the heart and grit that Hyman comes out with every night is unmatched. Really wish we hadn’t let him walk

      he's great but players that play this type of game have a short shelf life when they sign a contract like he did, 2-3 years into it his body will have too many hard miles on it and will still be a huge hit against the cap. defensemen generally have an older aging curve but look at Muzzin for example. Ofc there's the argument that you're still getting good years, and you are, but then there's a long term asset management perspective.

      Thank Dubas for letting all of our players walk for free though. We could have gotten some picks or decent players if we traded them ahead of letting them walk.

      it was entertaining. that should have been a penalty.
      this is how the game gets away from the refs and players start taking runs at each other which can lead to injuries, fines, suspensions, etc

    the thing is, Pavelski's hit is still a clean hut, as his head was still at the glass and not the boards. If he was slightly lower, yeah probably a boarding.

      I think the ref saw that Foegle looked like he was going to progress up the boards. It would have been a clean hit had that happened, as I'm sure that's what Pavelski thought too. Foeg stops up and gets hit in the numbers, i don't mind the no call there. I don't mind the no call on the beauty hit by hyman in response. Good hockey here. Good non calls too

      @@stephenmoreton6367 Foegele was spinning around to gain control of the puck, Pavelski could've easily avoided hitting him in the numbers. Hyman's wasn't a legal check either, textbook charging. Very poor refereeing sequence.

      @@Kristofburger At no point shoulda player let up on the play. He saw something at full speed and made a play. Foegle has to protect himself at all times, and he made a dangerous move. I respectfully disagree. Glad no one was hurt, and the call that was made was the right call.

    What is wrong with announcers? What is wrong with hockey fans? Pavelskis hit was legal, Hymans hit was not. Idc if it was legal or not it's what he should do occasionally and that was a good moment for it. This sport has gotten worse and worse, the refs have zero control and the players are either hyper sensitive little babies or totally emotionless ego monsters.
