Hooi!
hi, could you a video on how you changed the wand?
Hi Antonia, there is already is a good video on how to the modification. See ruclips.net/video/5AOTa3bEpYM/видео.html
Hello, i have a little question: i have search this machnie on the net but the buse has different and more big... I would like this machine with the same buse, where are you buy this model please ? (sorry for my english... ^^')
I changed the steam wand by a Rancilio Silvia V1/V2 wand. On youtube there are video's on how to do the modification. It's a bit technical but not hard to do.
@@dutchhomebarista
OK ! It's not a "buse" but "steam wand" ! 😄 Thank you very much for your advice !
hello, but which temperature settings you prefer low, middle or high
Depending on the roast of the beans. With dark beans I use the standard (middle) setting.
How can i adjust or chose which Temperature i want on this Maschine?
@@tonimijac9024 Hi Toni, je can change the temperature in the setting menu. See this video of Delonghi:

@@dutchhomebarista great,thanks for your help
Thanks for the video.nicely done. I am planning to buy my first expresso machine and Would like to know which one would you recommend with a 200 euros budget. Thought of this delonghi you are using or a Gaggia or Wmf lumero. Any good tips and advice would be very welcome.thank you
Sorry for the late reply. Below €200 I have only experience with the Delonghi. Below €200 I would buy it again;-)
@@dutchhomebarista thank you very much.just bought it and likely will end up doing the wand upgrade you did at some point :) thanks again!
Perfect👍
Thanks
I would 100% recommend picking up a bottomless portafilter and a proper basket for this machine as it seems like you’re using the pressurised basket you won’t get great results with that
Thank you for the feedback. I now have one. Indeed much better:-)
@@dutchhomebarista where did you buy it, i tried contact de longi sellers in Croatia they said it is not possible to buy it for this machine😥. And also how did you change the steam wand and how can i buy it? Thanks
@@marijauric5860 I bought the machine in a local shop in the Netherlands. I changed the steam wand by a Rancilio Silvia V1/V2 wand (bought it at ebay)
@@dutchhomebarista in the meantime i saw how to change steam wand, but it s too complicated for me😥. Thanks for answer
how come you have a different steam nozzle than they sell in the original
I changed it by a Rancilio Silvia V1/V2 steam wand.
Nice video. How's the grinder (Lorenzo GEFU) been holding up? Still working fine? Thinking of ordering it myself.
Hi Davis, the Lorenzo is a "oke" grinder if you use the pressurized basket. For a open basket it's not so good, the grind steps are to big.
@Dutch Home Barista can't you adjust the dosage for finer control?
hi, where can I find steam wand like this, I would like to change it.
I bought is on ebay. Search for "Rancilio Silvia V1/V2".
Prachtig gedaan!
Where did u buy the steam wand i want it too
Hi Adit, It's a Rancilio silvia V1/V2 steam wand. You can find it on ebay or amazon. On youtube you van find video's on how to do the modification.
cool video, thank you. I have one question about coffee extraction - when it was choking like in the video I thought it is wrong, I thought coffee should extract rather fluently. Am I wrong or this is actually correct, please? I'm newbie :) thanks
The "choking" was my mistake. Normaly I use the two cup button and stop the extraction on 25 grams of coffee. In this video I accidentaly used the single cup button, which resulted in to litte coffee therefore I pressed it twich (this is the choking part). The extraction in this video is far from ideale. The hand grinder I used grinds to fine or to course. Best to aim for 20-25 grams output in 25-30sec.
Do you use classic milk (high fat?) or cooking cream?
Thank You
Hi David, I use whole (high fat) milk.
I wonder how do you clean inside of the coffee machine please?
I use a dedicated liquid to flush the machine.
Hello, I just bought this coffee Delonghi 685 and it very hard to slot in the filter holder and throwing away the excess coffee does anyone has any tips?
Hello Dev, I have the same. Sometimes I hold the machine when putting in the filter holder (check if you don't use to much coffee in the filter). I clean my filter under the water tap.
@@dutchhomebarista Thank you for your reply, I realised there's a line (correct me if I'm wrong) in the filter basket. So I would just follow the line and now the portafilter is easy to slot in
@@devpatel4556 yes thats correct
@@dutchhomebarista Why is my espresso machine flowing too fast?
@@devpatel4556 Hi Dev, it can be more the one reason, but most of the times it is becaus the grid is to caurse. Try to grind you coffy finer.
Why did you steam a separate jug? Just to clean it?
Transfering the milk makes the milk more smooth. And the second jug is bigger, which makes pouring easier.
The turn on My filter seems to be very stiff, any ideas why? It’s bran new
Hi Dominic, I have no idea. If you doubt you can go back with the machine.
Same issue here. Just got mine today and I feel I might break the machine trying to fix the portafilter

Why does mine turn out watery and has no crema
It can be a lot of things. If the extraction time is less than 25 sec, grind a step finer. It that is oké it can be the coffee. It it's also not the coffee it can be that the pressure is to low. In that case contact your supplier.
What size are your tamper for this machine?
51 mm (bought it on AliExpress)

What different between EC680M and EC685M? Thank you
Dimensions of the EC680 model in inches is 6.75 x 13 x 13.0 and for EC685 Deluxe model 5.9 x 12 x 12 inches. ... Other notable difference between these two is that new and improved Deluxe version has an increased maximum cup height - on older version maximum cup height was 3 inches.
