    It’s been 4 years since I found out my wife cheated. It was the worst pain I ever felt in my life, especially coming back from a 9 month deployment. Have 2 kids together. We where separated 4 months, ended up moving back in together to work it out or so I thought, but it’s true when “when a good girl is gone, she’s gone forever”. It hasn’t been the same since. We separated again and it’s been a year. I’m in a much better place as I focused on myself and doing better for me. Doesn’t hurt nearly as bad but every time I see her to deal with my kids, the pain comes back. 14 years down the drain. Hang in there everyone, things will get better eventually. Know YOUR. Self worth!!! Her affair partner ended up using her and throwing her to the side. Karma is real.

    My reality is that I don’t want my marriage but my husband doesn’t want to let go. Our relationship is super TOXIC. According to him it’s because I refuse to learn my place and follow his lead. Understand that I have no issue with a man leading my problem arises when I’ve lost all respect. How do you follow someone you don’t respect?

    My mental health spiralled where I had self harming thoughts and was out of work for awhile. Self-care was absent, I couldn’t get up to brush my teeth. My mum is a marriage counsellor so that helps a ton, my friends were trying to split my husband and I which I don’t appreciate. I also have an individual and couple counselling. I started journaling too. Some days feel impossible to get up, other days I’m ok to go to the beach.

My ex and I both suffer from CPTSD. I realize that I do but my ex doesn’t realize that he suffers from it as well. He kept telling me to get over it. Thank you so much for this video. I'm going through a separation right now and I'm lost... I need help. I have a therapist which is a start. But I can't seem to self care. I worry too much...

    Being Separated is the worst way of life!! How do you find someone to walk through this journey with I know no one?

      It’s a lonely journey. Seek counseling and they’re walk you through it! I’ve chosen “better help” and it is very affordable care.

      We were separated for a year and we did our separation twice. It was hard. For a minute we could not get on the same page. In the beginning it's the hardest but as time went on we realized that we wanted to be better people for each other and ourselves.

      @@TashaCurryTheMarriageMentor me and my wife been separated for almost a year now but we spend time together and things like that but she isn't affectionate with me at times. I was wondering should I have patients and see if our marriage can be reconcile or file for a divorce because being married to someone and they aren't affectionate pretty much saying the marriage is over thank you

    • @TashaCurryTheMarriageMentor

      @@kwanzaagaston3630 Great question. I wouldn't just wait but if you guys are spending time together I would ask her why she isn't affectionate and why she is being cold. Maybe there is a conversation she wants to have and don't know how to start it. Because even though you guys are hanging out what is the value of the time being spent? Are you guys just watching movies and surface level conversations? You've been separated for a year and you are still seeing each other it sounds to me there are conversations that need to be had. I would start with that question and maybe see if there is something on her mind that she isn't saying to you. From those conversations you should be able to determine to keep the marriage alive or file for divorce.

    What if your wife leaves you takes the kids and now lives with her girlfriend. First I just felt she was there too help with the kids and support since I was kicked out. I asked her once does she even want to get back together. She didn't want to think about it or talk about it. Now she has someone to talk to and cater to her needs and I'm just out here working and being there for my kids. I never considered therapy but J feel llike I nneed it. Because this is just too personal to talk to anyone else. Anyone has their thoughts on what I should do. Let me know

      This is why in my videos I do talk about watching who we get advice from. Because sometimes us women go to our girlfriends and take advice from people who are not in our situation and it can make things worse. Therapy is good. When I was going through my separation and divorce I was severely depressed and had to see someone. Just to help me get through all my thoughts. You can't push anyone to make a decision. Sadly right now she may not know what she wants and her friend who she thinks is helping might not be. All you can do right now is be there for your kids and take care of you. Because if you are worried about someone else your mental health will only get worse with anxiety and stress. Please take care of yourself so you can be the best father for your kids.

    How long til the tears stop?

    • @TashaCurryTheMarriageMentor

      Sometimes it takes a while. I went through all the stages of grief and for me I was angry most of the time. When they stopped for me is when I stopped being angry and accepted where is was. I decided to hold my head high and do what I needed for me. It's when I let go of any expectation. I then started to feel better. Hope you do too!

    What if your spouse is dating but you don’t want to?

    • @TashaCurryTheMarriageMentor
      @TashaCurryTheMarriageMentor  3 года назад +9

      You don't have to. Live your life the way you want to. You can't worry about other people even if they are your spouse. But at some point you and your spouse would have to sit down and talk about staying in the marriage or not. If they are seeing other people and not concentrating on what to do with the marriage you might want to let go because their mind and actions are on being single.
