Amazing! Can't wait to see new and improved designs from Atelier Wen. I hope they continue to draw from the deep cultural well of Chinese heritage and culture.

Just jumping in to provide an exact translation of what Master Cheng said:
When he visited Kari Voutaleinen's workshop, he felt that the principles behind both their work was the same/similar. Where he felt the differences began was that Kari's workshop had equipment that was more precise.
In some aspects, he would say that [Atelier Wen] will need to work towards improving. For instance increasing the precision of their equipment, in order to improve the precision and quality of their future work.
However, in other aspects, he was proud to say that [Atelier Wen's guilloche] was better. For instance, in terms of the texture and grain, he felt that [Atelier Wen's] guilloche was brighter and more smooth and glossy. Because while Kari uses a tungsten blade, Master Cheng uses a diamond-tipped blade so the grain is brighter and more smooth and glossy, and free from marks or distortions from vibration.

I also noticed that the translation was far from being accurate, I think he did not really understand what Master Wen really meant because it was quite technical. I’m looking forward to the improvement they will introduce to their next releases and also the pricing that they will adopt.

@@mchitha Oh yea, for sure, an up and coming brand to keep an eye on, but not quite there at the moment yet in my (honestly limited, personal) opinion

Love this video even though it was clearly sponsored by Qatar Airways! (Wei's reaction is hilarious! 😂😂😂) Can't wait to see the demo video! I may have to run down to the Beau Rivage this afternoon to check it out! Do the doormen have any idea that there's a guilloche machine inside !!?? 😂😂😂 Peace!

Why overpriced? How much is the next cheapest hand guillochéd watch with this kind of well made and polished bracelet?

Been wearing mine for over a year now with no issues - keeps perfect time so nothing's wrong with this 'cheap' movement. It's still a beaut and I spend more time admiring the dial; way more than I do with any of my other watches!
