Even today, The Legend of Heroes series still doesn't get enough respect. The Trails (the latest iteration of The Legend of Heroes) and Ys series are among some of the best jrpgs I have ever played. And yes, the music is excellent! A lot of people only seem to talk about the heavy metal songs, but there are a lot of peaceful town themes too. It's great to see you uploading again!
Leon, this put such a smile on my face. I got this game for Christmas 1992 and was obsessed with it for months even though, seemingly, nobody else had ever heard of it. It was sooo packed with personality, and secrets. There are still lots of mysteries. Like, did you know that many monsters have rare drops you can't get anywhere else, like an infinite-use lantern? How about the super rare Whistle accessory, what does it do? I could never figure it out. Or is there a way to get any of the items that the super expensive trader is selling, like the Trident? I don't know! I wish somebody would hack this game so I could finally find out LOL. I DID find a way to steal the Gold Sword from the trap room in Wolfjaw Cavern, though! :)
Wow, I didn't know any of that. Thanks for sharing; I haven't heard from anyone who's played this game before. It's got more to it than I thought-talk about a stone-cold classic !
Some love for the original Legend of Heroes finally. This game, and it's sequel what really surpise me was with all the quality of life gameplay it has. The monsters on the map, being able to save at any time, the map you can see, the fighting IA and speed up to level up. The sequel even adds more than that. Also combat is simple but challenging at the same time. This game was a blast, and it's sad noone has translated the second game. I did play it with a translation tool and it was a nice sequel that explain a few loose ends and foreshadowing of the first game.

Loving your videos have you considered playing Grandia?
You bet, I'm planning to play Grandia relatively soon. Thanks for watching
@@rpg_haven you will enjoy the battle system
The UI makes this looks like a cross between Dragon Quest and Ultima VI
Hahah yeah, it's a trend that pretty much died on the PC-88 in Japan
buy a goddamn mic
