Ahh super smash bros it certainly has been a while since I last talked about you. Now the one thing everyone talks about most when the subject of smash bros comes up is the cast of characters, and for the longest time we just had to make do with the roster we got once the game was launched… That was until a wild mewtwo appeared and suddenly the flood gates opened for DLC characters to be included in smash bros, and today I'll be ranking the seven smash DLC characters to find out which are the best.

the hell? no she's not. She's not broken like she used to, but she still has one of the best recoveries in the game, 40-50% damage combos and witch time.

Ya know, people complain about too many FE characters, but I don't hear near as many people complaining about how Pokémon has the same amount of characters in the game, or the abundance of Mario characters.
I was part of a reaction video to the final Smash direct, and a few months before then, I made Miiverse post saying:
"I cannot ask for more Fire Emblem reps...unless they add Corrin from Fates,"
You can then imagine the excitement I had and the shit that came out of my pants from when I realized I actually called it right.
And Corrin is now my main, and I cannot get enough of catching people off-guard with his specials. (and suicide spiking XD)
Most people are cool with pokemon and mario characters because A) they're nintnedo's biggest franchises. B) all of the characters are unique aside from luigi and dr mario, C) pokemon only got 1 new character and veteran, mario got 2 new characters & a veteran, where as fire emblem got 3 new characters (one of which was a clone) and veteran. and other franchises like metroid, f-zero and donkey kong get next to nothing.
Still, It's understandable why it would bug so much. And again, I was a rare case when Corrin was announced. I was almost as excited as when the Mega Man trailer was shown.
I realized fire emblem has so many characters is because every different games has different characters, while other series usually features the same characters
I agree. Everyone give FE shit when pokemon, zelda, mario and a few more have 3 or MORE reps.

Am I really the only one who thinks Roy really isn't as bad as people make him out to be? I really don't feel that he's that bad of a lord.
i never played binding blade due to my emulator skepticism, but i did find him fun to play as in smash. finishing master core with a fully charged neutral special is beyond satisfying
I know this is super late but Roy is actually my favourite lord. He was pretty good in my playthrough stat-wise as well.

7. Bayonetta: Witch Time. Nuff said
6. Cloud: It's not that he isn't a good character, it's just that I don't find him that fun to play as and he's so tough to beat.
5. Lucas: He's kind of a 50/50 character for me. He has a very powerful up-smash but with a meh start-up time and terrible ending lag. He has a very floaty jump, but a situational recovery etc.
4. Ryu: Overall more fun than Lucas with his crazy combos and iconic moves but I just can't get the hang of the true Shoryuken.
3. Corrin: Very fun and unique moveset, fun combos, the longest reaching smash attack in the game + tipper (R.I.P. Shulk etc). The only problem is the speed and sometimes I just can't feel the character. And for those who complain that their victory quotes are too basic, just know that they perfectly represent Corrin.
2. Mewtwo: Funny how he gets the second place, anyways, glass cannon with his only real problem being his weight. He has incredibly powerful moves like his up-smash, Shadow Ball, up-throw, d-air, f-air etc, an amazing recovery and unique moves like Disable and Confusion.
1. Roy: ROY'S OUR BOY. The most powerful f-smash in the game, a OHKO move, great aireal and ground mobility, good combos, japanese and just an overall fun character to use, Roy takes the number 1. spot (FYI he's actually a pretty powerful unit who's only hinderance is his late-game promotion that's mafe up for with the Binding Blade).

I didn't manage to get any DLC yet mostly cuz in the Philippines, video game merchandise and getting good wifi, gaming anything, and what have u can be expensive especially as a minor. That being said, thanks for the countdown that fleshes out the DLC characters I've been meaning to get. Now I'm hyped more than ever to scrimp what I can to get them. Either that or I'll use the cash to finally get Fire Emblem Fates or maybe MHX or the new Kirby game.

one of my favourite things about these newer videos of yours is a lot of the custom art you've been using for them, it really adds a personal touch that i really enjoy. out of all the dlc characters, Roy and Cloud are my favourite to play, with the former being my secondary, just behind Ike and Ness.
you guys really got hit with FE:Fates, and here i thought the sub notification on my phone i got at 12;35 am, interrupting my viewing of the hateful 8 was the biggest problem about the British time zone.

Next to Robin and Lucina's reveals (on the hype scale for me), I was EXTREMELY hyped by Cloud's reveal! Even despite not playing FF7 yet or not even thinking of Cloud in Smash, it was just astonishing! Cloud quickly became one of my top five mains in Smash 4 and I just LOVE to play as him! Also, I just love his Up air attack(because, when I can, juggling people in the air is fun. Maybe a bit jerkish, but still fun)!
Here is my problem. Yes there are six fire emblem characters..but guess what. They are not the only ones who have been spammed through out smash.
Mario franchise :Mario, peach, Luigi, rosalina, bowser, bowserJR, wario = 7
zelda franchise: Link, toon link, zelda, sheik, ganon = 5
Pokemon franchise: Pikachu, mewtwo, lucario, jiggly-puff, greninja, charizard. = 6
Others have at least 3 or MORE
So i can understand where you are coming from..but FE aint the only franchise with over 4 people in smash.

Havinastroke ToBeRebooted I don't have a problem with fire emblem but I will say that MARIO is nintendos biggest game while Pokémon is the second biggest fire emblem a game only known because of smash has more fighters than the legend of Zelda series so that's my argument.

Er, I think in the Mario group, you meant to say Dr. Mario instead of Wario. Though if we do count the Mario-spin-off characters, then the group WOULD be 11.
Though I think one of the reasons that the Fire Emblem group has so many is because...well, there's a bigger cast of main characters to pick from. Similar reason for the Pokémon group.
I think people have a problem with the fire emblem group because two of them are clones of the same character.

My Top 7 DLC Characters:
7. Bayonetta. She was obnoxious to deal with pre-patch and still is now. Why is she even in this game? "bekuz she wun duh smesh ballitt hur dur" BULLSHIT! Sakurai only said that she won so that he couldn't put in characters people actually wanted (K. Rool, Chrom, Shantae, Shovel Knight, Geno, the list goes on).
6. Roy. I was so excited when Roy was announced to return to Smash. I find him really fun to play, but at the same time, my Roy is kinda hot cross buns, and his fastfaller status and bad recovery, coupled by being a sword character whose attacks are weaker at long range, doesn't help his case.
5. Ryu. Don't get the wrong idea, I love Ryu, and I love all the other DLC characters (well, except Bayonetta), and I nearly shit my pants when he was announced. I've seen people do some amazing combos with Ryu. But this is where my main problem with Ryu comes: I can't do any of his combos for the life of me. He's a really good character, he is. He also has the most untapped potential out of any character in the game in my opinion (#MONANDOBOYS, sue me). I just can't play him.
4. Mewtwo. Just like Ryu and Roy, I was really excited when I found Mewtwo was gonna be DLC. I like his playstyle, and all the buffs he's been given since he was first released make me want to play him even more. He's a really fun character, and the first DLC character I, and many others, played as.
3. Corrin. I agree with your opinion on Corrin in FE: Fates, his personality isn't very unique. But he is a good fighter, and the same goes for Smash. Corrin is one of the most fun characters to play in my opinion, and his playstyle really suits me, as Corrin is able to combo opponents and space them at varying times. Also, can we talk about how the number of Fire Emblem characters in Smash TRIPLED since Melee and Brawl?
2. Cloud. OH. MY. GOD. I have never been so hyped for a character being in Smash than I have with Cloud. He was so unexpected, and previously it was just joked about. Cloud being in Smash was unheard of. I love Final Fantasy VII, and I hoped that when Cloud was announced, he would be a great chatacter that I would love to play. And BOY, did he deliver that and MUCH more! In my opinion, Cloud is the #1 Top Tier character in the game. He has great combos, amazing damage output, lots of range, and INSANE kill power. His Limit Break makes all of these more potent, especially kill power. He's also pretty easy to pick up and play, and is very fun. The only thing I don't like about Cloud is his recovery, but this can also be temporarily fixed with Limit Break.
1. Lucas. Lucas is not only my favorite DLC character, but he's also my favorite Smash character in history. Mother 3 is not just my favorite RPG, but my favorite game of all time. I think Lucas is also the most fun character to play in Smash PERIOD. All of these absolutes...I really love Lucas. When he was returning as DLC, I yelled in excitement so much that my neighbors probably think I'm insane. Lucas suits my playstyle PERFECTLY. He has excellent spacing and combos, a varied and somewhat unpredictable recovery, and can deal with projectiles very well. I love everything about Lucas, which is why he's my favorite DLC character- no, Smash character, of all time, and always will be.

Speaking of Fire Emblem, I retried Radiant Dawn recently on Normal mode, and I've actually gotten to Rebirth 3 and actually managed to bring one extra member of the Dawn Brigade (Edward is so good). One trick that I learned is the enemy healer abuse trick. Since staves in this game heal characters when they are equipped, on a chapter with no turn limit, you just wail away on a healer while making sure you don't kill them for however long you like until you get the satisfied level or you just get bored. I managed to get Mist from her first class at level 18 to a level 10 Valkyrie (I was on part 4 chapter 4 and I desperately needed her to level up for the endgame).
You can say what you like about Corrin, but he knows how to fight.

I don't like final fantasy.It isn't my style of gaming.And I didn't like the idea of every new character gaining a new mechanic to make then more appealing to the public.The Limit Break was one of poorest examples in my opinion

I never played her game and again it isn't my style of gaming.The new mechanic of Witch Time I also didn't like.She Stole Crash Bandicoot place also
5-Corrin
I like FE,but we have got Marth, Ike, Robin, Lucina, Roy,so why include one more character.Corrin wouldn't make into Smash.It was a dirty market trick.I feel bad thinking about the Zelda and D.K fans,they didn't get even a single newcomer and they are franchises bigger than FE in my opinion.And FE had 2 newcomers in the game and 1 DLC character.So why didn't they put Dixie Kong,King K. Rool,Ice Climbers.A dirty market trick.And I didn't like his counter.The hitbox is too big compaired to te others

Finally a newcomer I would like that was good seing as a DLC.Ryu wasn't among my most requested characters,but it was cool.I just didn't like the All customs in one of him.Why 3 Hadoukens and 3 shoryukens.I know that it's for remembering the Street Fighter specials, but they could have done something better

A Melee character returning WOW!Mewtwo returned better than ever.He was made a a good adition to Smash and made many Pokemons fans happy, he was a good addition to the rooster

Nobody expected a new FE character into Smash 4, and he made the FE hype train go straight into the space and he is a pretty good character

The Character that I was wanting to return when Smash 4 was announced.I was sad when he didn't make into the rooster.When Mewtwo was announced my hope returned and in first of april I saw some people on the facebook posting things about him and I decided to check and WOW his was again in Smash and he was my main on Brawl.CrashX you need to play Mother 3 so you will understand why Mother fans loves him.Aside from that it's a bit sad,because him specials are clones of Ness,thay could have changed his Down Special to his Neutral Special from PM and also his Final Smash to the PK Love.So he wouldn't be a clone of Ness anymore.Because only his Side Special,Side Smash and Neutral Special would be considered clones.It would be like Luigi compaired to Mario
Bayonetta is my favourite I voted her her during the poll. I really love Ryu too and Corrin may be a weak protagonist but bloody hell his/her move set is incredible.
Funny thing is that I was 100% surprise when Ryu and Roy was announce because I did not heard about the leak after the direct.
hey you wanna know something funny, Roy appeared in melee while binding blade was still in development, meaning that Roy's first appearance was in smash bros, also they were still developing Roy's design for binding blade, so they look kinda different between binding blade and melee.
I don't know why so many people complained about Corrin when he was from one of the most anticipated games of the year... and no one complained when we got Dark Pit... or Duck Hunt... or how Ganondorf is still just a clone of Captain Falcon... and how Snake was taken out, yet Dr. Mario was put back in... oh the humanity. I love Corrin so much.
People complained about Corrin because they thought he was undeserving. people did complain about Dark Pit and girl Marth because clones are annoying. Dr Mario and Gannon got the slip because they are from previous smash games
2 Days of Christmas, 3 Days of belated Christmas, & 2 lumps of coal.
yeah DLC is a blessing and like everyone else one day 1-3 of DLC that's all I use and because of this my characters that I can use reliably in game went from about 4 to 6 Mewtwo and Corrin and beasts. one of the best things with Corrin is when you hold your Yato out the enemy gets stuck in the chainsaw giving you some damage and a full smash attack... which makes him/her perfect for my play style over use of Smash attack if I can lag them to make sure they get caught in it, it's gonna be good.
I still think the salt over Corrin was stupid. Seriously I feel like I was one of the few who enjoyed seeing Corrin revealed especially since I was gonna pick up Fates no matter what since I pre ordered it. Though I will admit his reveal would've been bad if Bayonetta wasn't the net to help him in the final Smash Direct.
+JadenXDemonMan I was initially salty about there being SIX fire emblem characters in smash. I love the series, but fire emblem exactly the IP to have to have that much representation when Donkey Kong has 2, Zelda has 4, and its basically putting it on the same level as Mario who also has 6 guys in smash.
But I'm over it now. Lol.
Nikki CTU In all honesty aside from Toon Ganondorf and Tetra I can't think of any other Zelda Reps and I know the DK series could use more reps there really isn't much other reps to add in by this point. Though then again people tend to forget the fact that Mario has 6 Reps 7 if you want to count DR. Mario though with Fire Emblem's recent popularity I for one am glad they got more representation though I still wish Krystal was a playable fighter in Smash 4 or at least made it in as DLC. Though mostly for the fact that her Lylat Cruise Easter Egg conversation though I am still pissed about her not being on the Star Fox Assault Orbital Gate Stage since that's a mission she was a part of.
+JadenXDemonMan I mean, Skull Kid, Ghirahim, or Midna would've been nice, but they're just assist trophies. Maybe if there is another Smash game, they could make Skull Kid and Ghirahim playable characters and have, say, Happy Mask Salesman and Fi as assist trophies.

4.Mewtwo I love the Pokémon series and Mewtwo is really powerful and quick and has an amazing move set.What makes Mewtwo #4 is the fact that he's the 2nd lightest character in the game. Yes even lighter than the 2d mr game and watch which is kind of dumb.
3.Ryu Ryu is an amazing fighter Period
2.Bayonetta I love Bayonettas moveset and I hate facing against her
1.Cloud Cloud is so easy to learn and his limit break is OP Usually if your an average player you should be able to win with this character.

Even now, I feel like the only person who was excited about Corrin but was very mad about Bayonetta being in Sm4sh.

In my opinion:Mewtwo: I never had much interest in Mewtwo before, but seeing him in Smash 4 kinda drew my interest to him.
Lucas: Not a big player of Ness, so the same goes to Lucas. I still like both though!
Roy: Roy's my boy! And one of my top mains! His recover isn't that great, but offensively it is! That and his up smash are great!
Ryu: I love Ryu's stage, I love Ryu in this game, but...I'm not so good with Ryu. I've seen and fought people who are great with him and...dear lord..."beaten" is an understatement. I honestly think I enjoy fighting Ryu more than playing as him!
Cloud: Probably my favorite of the bunch. He's just so fun to play as and I love playing as him! He's one of my top 3 mains(and is kinda close to being first honestly) for a good reason!
Corrin: I'll probably play as the other FE characters more than Corrin(...well, except Marth because I prefer and play as Lucina more honestly), but that doesn't mean I don't love Corrin! Corrin is pretty fun to play as and I love playing as him/her(I prefer Female Corrin)!
Bayonetta: You know, when I first saw Bayonetta I thought, "She's cool, but I'm probably gonna suck when I play as her". And you know what...I was right. I enjoy doing combos when I can, but I can't do it as well playing as Bayonetta(sounds weird, doesn't it). That and I rather not rely solely on her smash attacks to send people flying because trying to combo someone off the screen ain't gonna happen when I'm playing. She's a cool inclusion, but I suck with her, but even if I didn't, she doesn't fit my play styles( I'll take Peach, thank you very much)!

Lucas comes out of Nowhere is a reference to the name of his homeland: Nowhere Island. So it's a little joke that combines the fact that you werent expecting him back AND to place from where he really is

I don't want anyone getting hyped because of this, but based Sakurai's early comments about DLC and current situation on WiiU for the rest of the year, chances of more DLC characters are now increased.

There is a reason for all the FE characters. Zelda is about items, so there are a lot of items from Zelda. Sonic is about speed, so sonic is really fast. Fire emblem is a game about characters, so there are a lot of characters. I hope this makes sense, have a nice day

I haven't heard people getting salty about not having a grass type pokemon but if what you say is true fair enough, but in regards to corrin I think the salt is because corrin was a DLC character, which most people want to be either a highly requested veteran, or a 3rd party character, and corrin was neither. On top of the fact that Corrin was another fire emblem character.

+Bg9x3 If you want to include all characters which originated in a Mario game, there is actually 11 mario characters in Smash 4: Mario, Luigi, Peach, Bowser, Bowser Jr, Yoshi, Rosalina & Luma, Wario, Donkey Kong, Diddy Kong and Dr Mario.
For the record, Roy is still a kid. And being a prince, I doubt he's had much experience in battle outside of training sessions. It stands to reason why he isn't very strong. Heck, in Smash Bros. if you charge is neutral B to the very last second, Roy takes self-inflicted damage because he can't fully control it.
Um... Ike does the same thing. And um, lets see... Ike is a trained mercenary. Just because he's a prince canonically, doesn't mean that his move set should reflect that.

In my online experience. The least used dlc fighter in WiFi matches is
Corrin. I think its for a couple reasons. 1, Corrin has the slowest run
speed out of the dlc fighters. 2, Corrin is too new & lacks being
familiar. I've fought against plenty of Roy's on WiFi despite him being
less special compared to Corrin & her dragon powers. P.S. The most over
used dlc fighter on WiFi matches is Cloud.

7. bayonetta -- pretty much salt from it not being a character i wanted that had a chance, her zero to deaths, and WITCH TIME! I HATE WITCH TIME!!! shes no fun to watch or play against at all. she is a low risk high reward character since her recovery is one of the best in the game too.....
6. lucas -- he's a fun character and all, but seeing him confirmed kind of killed the chance of wolf in my thoughts and he was a character i really wanted.....i also dont really care too much about him
5. roy -- i never really had too much of an attachment to him. he was a bad fire emblem lord in his game and i never really cared about him in melee or PM, but in smash 4? i really enjoyed playing as roy. his playstyle was just incredible, but then after playing corrin i realized how inferior roy is.......
4. ryu -- like lucas, i dont really care about him too much, but he is a very fun character to use and i really like how unique he is.
3. cloud -- i didnt know who he was, but after seeing him and playing as him, i instantly loved this character. his range is amazing even for a sword user and limit break is just so fun to use. also his design is very nice.
2. corrin -- i was already very hyped for fire emblem fates and i was saying for quite a while how i would love if we got a manakete, axe user, or lance user for a fire emblem rep in smash and corrin happened to be one of those 3. not only that, but she has a very unique moveset that i really love using. a paralyzer like zss, but with a close combat 2nd move along with it? amazing. a very fun side special that can pull off mindgames? very fun. a very safe bair that helps recover? ok shes one of my mains now.
1. mewtwo -- he was a character i really wanted back due to nostalgia and him being one of my favorite mons and i was incredibly hyped when he was revealed especially considering my other top characters wanted didnt make it in.....(RIP wolf and ridley :[ ). i also i really love his playstyle and its just so fun to use. especially his teleporting and shadow ball momentum
After seeing Ryu and Mega Man, I'm hoping Phoenix Wright and/or Amaturasu makes it into "Smash 4." It's the least they could do for those of us who can't play "Marvel vs. Capcom 3."
Bayo is literally the least risk character most reward character in the entire series.

In all do honesty, I think FE just got really lucky with its reps. Think about it: of the 3 characters that were changed from pallet swaps into full characters, one (lucina) was from fire emblem. Of the 3 veterans brought back from brawl and melee, one (roy) was from fire emblem. And corrin was thrown in as a final character. Excusing dlc, only 3 characters were going to represent FE at the start. Hell, when it comes to representing franchises, FE only really has chars. Look at LOZ stages, music, trophies, etc. and tell me they are less represented in smash than FE. While I'm on my semi-rant here, I think FE DESERVES all of its representation it gets. Mostly because when you look at the IPs people have been moaning and bitching need more representing in smash, instead of stupid weeaboo emblem (I cri) they DONT deserve it at the moment, in my opinion. Compare how franchises like DK, zelda, and (I'm sorry crash) metroid are doing now and were doing when the dlc was under devlopement, and compare it to how FE has been doing recently. Tell me they deserved it more. Well, I guess now they actually need attention. I've said my piece now. While I'm here, maybe top 10/15 Blazing Sword Characters?

4: Well, if you were so worried about Fire Emblem getting such representation, you should've thought about that before making it so popular! ...Though I think the main reason is that Fire Emblem was just that big (very justified nowadays with its own smartphone game, alongside Mario and Pokémon) AND has more main characters than most other series in Smash. Probably the same reason behind Pokémon's roster size, actually...
1: Eh, closer to Ike than to Shulk, as his Buster Sword is more about Ragnell's size. Shulk's Monado is far too long for Ragnell or Buster Sword to compare.
Roy doesn't even become mounted when he finally classes up at the end of Chapter 21 (and if you don't get the true ending, penultimate chapter) ya, Hector and Lyn didn't either, but I don't think Lyn and especially Hector didn't need it. Hector as a mounted unit would be broken
My favorite DLC character is Lucas. I'm so happy he made it back

Cloud - I am a fan of Final Fantasy 7 and it was very cool to see an iconic character in Smash. I REALLY want them to hurry up with the remake!!!! COME ON!!!! XD
Corrin - I am a HUGE fan of Fire Emblem and I am sure I was one of the few people who were legitimately excited at Corrin's reveal. But oh well, at least Corrin is an incredibly unique FE character.
Bayonetta - I VOTED FOR HER!!!! I was so happy! I thought they wouldn't let her in because she was too sexy but nope!!! Love her!
I personally main our boy. He's amazing, and I love him in both Binding Blade in this game.

7) Roy: His power and speed is only matched by his shit recovery, range and the fact that hilted hits are harder to hit than tippers. Low mid tier.
6) Lucas: Mid tier plain and simple, Ness with more power but less string potential.
5) Ryu: Power weakened by speed at huge end lag. High mid tier.
4) Corrin: Fast and has fleunt movement with great range. Unfortunately their attacks leave them vunerable with long start up and end lag. High tier.
3) Mewtwo: Best air dodge and kill pontential in the game with so many fast attacks. He's so hard to reach when he spaces with his tail. Top tier.
2) Cloud: Easily the best frame data and kill confirms with good speed. He may have a bad recovery but who cares when this bastard can beat out almost any attack with his immense attack speed and range. 3rd best character in the game.
1) Bayo: HOW DO YOU EVEN BEAT THIS CHARACTER, I hate her to no end. Best character in the game.

As much as I love Fire Emblem, just like all the Pokemon fans complaining about there not being enough Pokemon, even though they gave us, like, 5 at first, it pains me how people kept begging for more Fire Emblem characters even though we got a lot of those too. Seriously, give some other franchises a chance, guys.
Hey Crash! I have an idea for a 3FORALL episode: the PlayStation 2 platformer trio (Ratchet and Clank, Jak and Daxter and Sly Cooper). Of course, only if you've played them and want to make a video on them.
+HypnoMonkey I have played Jak 1 and 2 (plan to play three soon), I have both ratchet and clank 1 & 2 but haven't played them yet, and I haven't played Sly Cooper. If anything I'll probably do a 3FORALL for the each series as a trilogy (basically pitting each of the games against each other), but if I just so happen to play all those games before making that video, then I may do 3 episodes of 3FORALL, comparing the first, second and third games in each series.

Honestly, I still think Fire Emblem has too many reps. I think that in the next game, Lucina should simply become an alternate costume for Marth like what was originally intended. When series that are much more well known with much more historical significance don't get new characters, the over-abundance of this series feels wrong.

7: Roy: I LOVE swordsmen characters, more than most. But I hate Marth and Lucina, and Roy is kinda just them. I at least can do good as Marth and Lucina, but Roy is... well, not the best
6: Mewtwo: I'm not a fan of Pokemon, so I never really cared for Mewtwo. I do like his move set and can actually do some stuff with him. But I just like Lucario better.
5: Lucas: I loved Lucas in Brawl, and seeing him in Smash 4 was great. At least, that's what I told myself. I realized that Lucas wasn't all that fun to play. Compared to Ness, I'd choose Lucas. But compared to literally anyone else, I'd probably choose them.
4: Corrin: Again, I love Fire Emblem Characters and Sword characters, so Corrin was a welcomed entry for me. Unlike regular Swordsmen, he's part dragon so that's cool. His move set is interesting and sometimes cheap, but overall a fun experience. But because the FE franchise is kinda big in Smash and as unique as Corrin was, I miss my clone, Wolf.
3: Bayonetta: Cereza is ,again, a unique character with a powerful game plan. Except, she's a little too easy to play as. And as Flashy as the combos are, they don't take all that much skill. Her character herself is a little, well, odd.
2: Cloud: Cloud is such a cool character. Another Swordsman which is always good and the Limit System is fantastic. His character overall and the surprise that CLOUD is in SMASH BROS is crazy. His repetitive gameplay, however. Not a fan of.
1: RYU: Fire Balls, Combos, Shoryuken, 2 Final Smashes, Need I say more? The only thing that really disappointed me was his stage; Suzaku's Castle. It was kinda bland.
I now notice our lists are similar, like, VERY similar.
Heres mine:
7: Lucas: I was never too into the Mother series and I never liked Ness either. When i heard that lucas was a thing i was not happy or sad. I just congrats my friend for guessing it.
6: Roy: Roy is one of my favorite FE characters in the game but his lack or range or projectile had always bothered me. Roy did suit my play style but i never was able to get a "good rhythm going" with him.
5: Corrin/Camui: Dont hate me for not putting Corrin higher. I just was never too big a fan of the FE franchise to begin with. I put him higher than Roy because of his uniqueness to the other FE characters and how he becomes a dragon..my favorite "mythical creature".
4: Mewtwo: He is my favourite Pokemon in the game (other than Geninja) and i LOVE his attacks. He used to be lower but then he got a buff and became a decent attacker and was all round a great character. I love to troll my friends with the confusion move and just taunt and use a smash attack on them.
3: Ryu: I had always been a fan of the Street Fighter series and my favourite character was Ryu. I was SOO happy i was on holiday when he was leaked because I had such a wonderful surprise when i discovered he was added. I was in awe. He was my first DLC and I am surprisingly good at him. I can get a good combo going. My only problem is trying to figure out the original commands for the specials. I have so far learnt Shoryuken and Shakunetsu Hadouken.
2: Bayonetta: A long time ago I was the biggest fan of the first Bayonetta game but then moved on to other games.
I had long since forgotten about her when I saw the final direct and the only Wii U game i cared about was Mario Kart 8 and Super Smash Bros.. When i first saw her a whole BURST of memories came back to me and i was SOO glad she was in smash. She has such great combos and such character. My only complaint is that when they nerfed her they kind of killed her but she still has great potential.
1: Cloud: I was always a fan of RPG games and younger me then discovered final fantasy. It was love at first sight really. I was soo delighted. My favourites were always the first the second and the (how convenient) seventh.
As soon as I saw cloud my heart skipped a beat and i grabbed my 3DS hearing he was out right away. His attacks look really flashy and his big sword makes him look really strong. The fact it was his japanese actor made him sound way more badass in my opinion and I also LOVE his stage.
Those were the 7 DLC characters from worst to best in my opinion.

Havinastroke ToBeRebooted holy cow i made my list and it managed to be the exact same with different reasons.
I was hoping so hard that somehow Travis Touchdown would be able to get into smash.
On there being 6 FE characters, other than pokemon FE has the largest roster to pull from and of those that make sense in smash I'd argue they have the larger potential roster so to a degree having higher representation than series like LoZ makes sense. LoZ has maybe 8 characters that'd make sense for smash so of course they won't get all of them. I'd argue that you could make a far more interesting fighting game out of FE than the Pokken thing they did.
if crash dos make a top 100 list i think it would be a top 100 fire emblem units list.

I'm not that good in Super Smash Bros online but whenever I play Smash 3DS online I always use corrin because he / she has an amazing counter

I love how people go "Cloud doesn't fit in Smash, he isn't from nintendo" Well, Cloud is currently the face of Final Fantasy, where did Final Fantasy start off? the NES.
Personally, I too felt that Corrin was unneeded, sure it gives us in Europe in a taste of Corrin before Fates is released, but Corrin is from FE, which is the series, apart from Pokémon, with the most representatives in Smash, Sure He/She is unique in their style as a fighter. But I'd rather see a completely new fighting style and a new series in Smash.....
But like everyone else, I gave Corrin a try, their fun to play as but no one I will spend hours learning, I just need to understand how to decimate them and I'm fine (I Play: Cloud, Shulk, Ganon, Falcon, Mii Brawler and Sword fighter, Mega Man and Ike)

Compare the amount of Fire Emblem characters in smash 4 to the amount of Mario characters in smash 4, now that’s really saying something, there’s like 58 characters in smash 4, 6 of them are Fire Emblem, I see no problem here.
