Yes and no. DLO is the best PG the team has but he's useless during the Play Offs.
People act like it's addition by subtraction but it's not even close. How do you replace 18 and 6 with low turnover ratio and 42% from 3 on 7 attempts? I get he has holes in his game but he's not that easy to replace. Yes Minnesota got better but they replaced him with Conley we have nobody.

How in the world can you look at this and determine that having too many PGs is one of the roster problems?
Imagine you were a GM. You are given AD and LeBron. LeBron wants to play PF. You got 48 minutes to fill at PG, SG and SF and maybe 15 at PF and 12 at C.
Would you get yourself 5-6 power forwards and 2 centers and scour the market for more centers or would you get a starting PG, starting shooting guard and starting small forward of the 3&D variant like everyone with a brain should want to do?

Im somewhat with Scorpio. But I go further. My theory has been that LeBron was actually ONLY going to take the 20 mil pay cut for Klay. Original reports were he would give them a week, up to the start of Summer League, which was Saturday July 6. News broke that he agreed to a new contract EARLY Wednesday. That is 3 to 4 days less than initial reports. Klay to Mavs news was just 1.5 days prior. ALL other reported targets to take the cut was just smoke. The after reporting says Bron called Klay to recruit. There were zero other reports of him calling the other supposed targets.
Well he verbally said that he was hoping they landed klay, demar or Jonas. So I’m pretty sure he was completely willing to do it for the other two as well

At the beginning of last year I said this team wins through D Lo he is the 3rd star. Austin can only be the nail in the coffin. Injuries would be the next issue. Most people would agree with me now.
Surprisingly it wasn’t LBJ or AD injuries. The injured Role players needed to role play. Regardless this team must play flawlessly with what they have. Unlikely but realistically a deep run can happen.

Cam Johnson is not that good man. The problem with this fanbase is that everyone overhypes average players. Gabe Vincent is mid, Rui is mid and Reaves is mid.
Our team has no continuity because we keep blowing up teams trying to chase big names. I say just run it back at this point because no trade is going to make this team a championship squad at this point.
Walker Kessler is a nice player but this team needs a legit scorer when games are close heading into the final minutes. That is the number one need. LeBron can no longer be counted on to consistently get the job done and AD doesn’t have the fire to show up in those moments either.
The Lakers' "brain" trust of Pelinka, Jeannie Buss, and the Wild Rambi traded away half of the 2020 Championship roster.
Lakers aren't getting Walker Kessler, I know you need content but Pelinka has generally been incompetent.
The Lakers need to trade for Kuzma and get Tristan Vukceviv thrown in. Or, trade for Zach Lavine and get pieces/picks thrown in. But, we aren't getting anything ideal. We aren't getting good options. Pelinka just isn't good at this
I get the copium, but none of these trades and signings makes zero sense for the other team and the players. Why would Danny Ainge accept that Lakers’ deal over what any other team could offer? Why would Tyus Jones accept that deal for a team that honestly isn’t impressive at all outside of AD and sometimes LeBron. Truth is this team is flawed because they aren’t built around their best player AD. They rely too much on LBJ, they overvalue their role players like Reaves, and they throw away good team building to chase stars. It’s actually wild how LA and the Knicks both had that mentality and the team that abandoned it is in a very good position to contend. As long as they cater to LBJ they are cooked. It’s time to go young whether you keep AD or not. I respect this channel for its hard work, content, and dedication to the Lakers consistently, but I do think at times you’re selling unwarranted hope when you think of other teams in the league and what they can offer over LA.
