my favorite part about the rock, paper, scissors guy was that he said "if you get rid of scissors in rock, paper, scissors, then rock has no counter!!!", like yes it does you left paper in LOL
"Popsicle" makes sense for a lot of these players... they're having a meltdown, and there's definitely a stick up their butt for some reason.

to be fair, you actually did misunderstand that rock, paper guy.
he said "is rock paper balanced?" not "is rock-paper-scissors balanced" . he deliberately left scissors off to create an imbalance (well technically he asked both, but the infamous "rock has no counter" was after only asking about 'rock paper' without the scissors)
of course, he also said rock has no counter which is...wrong, even in that scenario. but it wasn't quite as crazy as you thought.
It's still not imbalanced. Both players have the same options, which creates balance. Or to put it into Starcraft 2 terms, TvT is balanced because both players have the same tactical options. And even if you remove the possibility of making, say, air units, it's still balanced because both players still have the same options.
@@CasualCosta Nope. That doesn't make it balanced. If the game is rock paper, the game is imbalanced. Imbalanced doesn't mean one side has an advantage. In that case, the game is imbalanced towards paper because paper can never lose.
@@CasualCosta oh i don't disagree. in terms of an analogy to starcraft its still balanced. i was pointing out that that dude wasn't saying that rock has to counter in rock-paper-scissors. he's specifically left of scissors
@@tommydashed4205 you're talking about 2 types of balance. in a PvP game, inter-player balance still exists (i.e. one side having an advantage). in fact thats typically the core of balance whining on SC2 forums. people argue that X race has an advantage over Y race. thus creating an imbalance.
what you're talking about is balance within a race. which is more about "are all possible options equally viable".
so yes...rock paper is balanced between 2 players, because both sides have equal access to the same stuff. however, its not balanced in the sense that there's no point in choosing rock, because paper is superior.
what made those comments so confusing is that the guy was mixing both types of balance. he was referring to the internal balance of the zerg race, claiming that there was essentially no reason to build anyhting but the 2 broken units (that he claimed existed). but he was arguing it in the context of ZvZ...which is inherently an inter-player balance discussion. even though both players had the same tools, and therefore couldn't be imbalanced against each other (outside of the players themselves i mean).
As an American, I feel well-versed in deciphering the mad mutterings of some previous presidents.

IDK if it was caught in the video and I missed it, but Nguyen is a common Vietnamese name typically pronounced in english as "Win", So the player is basically punning his name as ForTheWin!
I can translate the "Rock has no counter" for you: The guy was getting salty about balance in a mirror matchup (ZvZ). His opponent pointed out it was a fair game since both races had the exact same tools. The salty guy claimed just because two people have the same tools doesn't mean it's a fair game. (You're gonna have to insert a lot of air quotes in here) He supported this argument by asking if Rock Paper Scissors was balanced. It was. Then he asked if "Rock Paper" was balanced. He claimed it wasn't balanced because "rock has no counter." Ironically, rock's counter is paper, so he messed up the mic drop, AND his claim falls apart because the game is still technically balanced, albeit not well, because both players have the same tools. Either way, it was likely a deranged argument from another salty gamer looking for any excuse to not take accountability for his own loss.

Integrity wasn't scouting a lot.
Integrity rallied an SCV out to scout,and then didn't rally back onto minerals until they had lost a second SCV and almost sent a third out to die.
But, that second SCV did buy them like 7 seconds versus the zergling rush, which i think was actually kinda significant, so probably worth.
PiG misreading "little girls game" as "little girls name" multiple times and trying to make sense of it was pretty funny. I thought he'd notice it eventually but didn't realise it until chat pointed it out after the game lol.
I like how jubjubb scouted every single base besides the actual third. Only found out about it due to continuous worker transfer
