Love how Pig conveniently ignored that the turret he declared useless did massive damage like 3 minutes later. "Units don't spawn here". In plat, sometimes they do Pig lol.
Pig didn't understand that he put the turret there to meet the flanking air units.
In almost every episode PiG mocks the "silver league pylon", and every single time it pays off.
its a silver league pylon because that is where its most effective
@MaiAolei i get why he mocks it, it's preventable more cheaply with good play, but you're right in the sense that the behaviour is kind of selected for 😂

Gotta be honest, the rectally-inclined pylon bit had me cry-laughing because it caught me off-guard.

2 minutes later, the silver league turrets kill like 2 void rays and heavily damage another.
They are still very silly most of the time, but sometimes things just work.

Same when the turrets in the main sniped the prism lol, this is the confirmation he needed to keep up his sky-high TPM
this position of the one turret behind the mineral line is actually pretty good, prisms or oracles like to dive behind and void rays in this league too, sure

brother barcodes don't matter at this level it's just a guy who's imitating a pro

@@sakesaurusno, playing barcodes has a purpose in the lower leagues if you cheese, play really annoyingly or always only go for a single strategy, so that in rematches/against players that they meet frequently, their opponents don’t know that they’re a one-trick-pony.
@@ZerglingLover Bah they think they are smart but when I find barcode I always expect cheese, especially those who start insulting you to distract you. 100% cannon or proxy gate. If they shut their mouths maybe they would succeed in their intent but stupidity is in their DNA

as a plat terran, this is exactly what my games look like
i was going through one of my better replays and realised my opponent flew a warp prism full of high energy templar into a bunker with 4 marines i had at my third base and it died with all templar inside
during the actual game, i had no idea this even happened
edit: that salt was worth the wait holy shit lmaooooooo
I'm plat 2 and none of my games have looked this good. As the terrain my brain would have melted 4 min in and I would have kept building un-upgraded marines and rallied them to their death. I was laughing about Twitch chat thinking this was possibly silver or gold.

Always look at my replays and think "no matter how much i practice I can't hit this timing if the opponent rabdomly throws a wrench in my plans", so I'm grinding a build that is easy but failing bc I'm getting thrown off my game. Normally this would be humbling but this is actually not humbling and a 4th wall break for me Curtain gets peeled and i realized how low grade this is. This is exactly the reason i went back to sweating in single player games. The game won't do something unexpected to yank the mat from my feet. There's only gradual improvement and rage because I don't understand the game. My favourite things to do in a game.

for what it's worth with the whole silver league turret thing i'm pretty sure at low level people tend to try and fly along the edges to get to the mineral line so they do tend to do ok there. their still not good but a surprising amount of people will just send their flying hit squad down the side of the map and look away.
case in point : literally happened this game
Ironically Pig's bullet comment was what Mcnamara, policy wonks came up with in vietnam. Hence a push towards the M-16 and 5.56 Nato round.
Regarding The difference in servers:
There is a difference. Asia is more difficult (probably because of lesser players).
I was always playing in EU, Diamond 1.
Moved to Asia, and have _never_ entered Diamond 1, but hard stuck in diamond 2.
Now when i am struggling against terran (as a zerg) my mmr is as low as 3500 in Asia.
Although, easily killed 3,8k people in EU when i went over there for a shorter session.
There is not much of a difference, but there is one.
Sidenote: Most Diamond 2 players in Asia average a lot more apm than me, and i have around 220 or so on average. They range from 300-450.
The last time i was in EU, my dear protoss opponent with 3,8k had 100 apm. :)

I'm a gold terran. last night I played against a plat and won. I watched the replay and saw that his macro was as shit as mine, I just won becasue I scouted his proxy bc.

I don’t understand why people stay in games and talk insults rather than just leaving. I think it’s more stupid to stay in a game you’ve clearly lost rather than just saying ggs and going next. It’s not even like League of Legends where you have 4 other people voting against your surrender vote; it’s just you and your pride.

Terran on the other hand... Well let's just say all that time floating in the dead space in medavacs waiting for the toss to be distracted can get a little boring... Especially without female ghosts. Apparently the Dominion has a strict "Don't ask; don't tell" policy.
Who put it in your head that a silver league turret had anything to do with the campaign? Nothing I recall in the campaign ever encouraged you to regularly put missiles behind your minerals. Literally the second I heard you say that I thought "maybe it's there to snipe an air raid on the mineral lines." 2 minutes later he gets the enemy running void rays straight across the turret raiding it and you're just like "oh void rays" with no acknoledgement that you JUST critisized the turret that is now shooting down the rays. Maybe you have a thing or two to learn yourself still.

There is actually an equivalent to APM spam in warfare, it's large parade of a lot of people who don't actually do anything, you see this in propaganda videos from China or North Korea all the time. Hundreds of soldiers walking in rank, looks kind of cool. Totally useless.
See also, though to a lesser degree, videos of them disassembling and reassembling their rifles, though at least that suggest you know your weapon which is useful.
Honestly there's actually a lot APM spam style thing that people think makes the army seem hard but is actually pretty useless among most militaries. Remember folks, most of the stuff militaries put out to make them look badass is pretty useless, and you won't really see an actually badass military doing to much, cause they're to busy training to waste time on that kind of shit.

I honestly think DT should be blocked until diamond or master leage (included lurkers, ultralisk, carriers and BC), in lower levels is too easy to win games like this one with 0 effort, just built invisible/or high HP invencible unit.

Like honestly I was a bit surprised when PiG said high plat. Not because of the strategies, but just because the average APM on hurtone seems *really* low for high plat. Like, yes, it's not everything, but there is a point where low APM gets in the way of... actually doing things. If he's D3 on that APM, congrats, that's impressive!

New series - Viewers who are absolutely certain they're *way* better than the players in the video they just watched have a replay chosen and PiG makes them look like they're two rank tiers lower than they really are.
