Phenomenal. If this guy is so desperate that other players not get involved in his 1v1, he knows there's a mode ideally suited for that, right?

Considering he lazily micro'd his ravagers when chased by real opposition like he wanted to lose them and his best showing of AMP was targeting a teammate's nexus, the lane bit is but one from a handful of excuses he brings before each match to excuse a betrayal.
You say this jokingly, but it's the real reason why people like him play 'team' games. Ego too fragile to accept they might just be the reason they are losing. I wonder what delusional reason this guy uses for why he plays 2v2?

Honestly props to VegasSolar for that 1v3 performance. TrpicalFruit of course did the typical MOBA player rage thing and refused to play while typing in chat only to start actively griefing while still typing in chat.
I play a ton of 2v2 and it's a salt mine, especially at lower levels. Please cast more 2v2!
I genuinely want to see the VegasSolar vs TrpicalFruit 1v1, just because TrpicalFruit talk a lot and being authoritative depsite being a bronze that barely know how teamwork functions in SC2 or any game at all.

Really you just need a limit on how many buildings you can team kill in a certain amount of time. 1 every 5 minutes perhaps, to allow for specific situations. Or just allow a timed 'detonate' ability on buildings in team games. Or you could just switch to ZEROSPACE.... never mind.

Picture perfect example of why I play SC2 instead of league. I hate it when you have a team mate that has no idea what is going on and makes that your fault.

Had a similar experience back in 2016. I played 3 2v2 matches against a guy in a row and won them all. On the fourth I was paired with him and he started bitching that I was walling us both against rushes with Barracks + Depo. When I pointed out that I beat him 3 times in a row, he got so pissy he pulled his probes to kill my SCVs. I commented that this was the only way he could me to lose a match he was in before leaving. I wish Salt Mines were a thing back then. I would have loved to share the replay.
imma be real, with as annoying as TropicalFruit was being, were I VegasSolar, I'd have let him die and promptly blocked him. might as well, since VegasSolar was already soloing them both pretty effectively anyways. 🤣
Hat's off to our noob, they did a damn good job being a team player, despite having the anchor of TropicalFruit around his neck the whole game.

Every color for Orks does something different. Beware of Blues because they're lucky gitz.
I played team games for the first time as an M3 player. Silver teammate immediately criticizing my wall, spamming me, asking why I built a “quick expand” (normal expand timing of course) - just awful to deal with. As soon as you get into plat/diamond those people pretty much stop.
Easy 25$. Also this fruit dude is completely insane
I would love to see a ban-from-team-games mechanic for griefers like this where the player is not allowed to play teamgames again until they make it to 1v1 Gold league.

TrpicalFruit is that type of player who's the epitome of "touch grass" gamers. So devoid of what's really happening and thinking they're better when in actually, they've done nothing and got carried.
These are the kind of guys that talk a lot but only play team matches because they get to talk down to their teammate since they're stuck in bronze league in solo queue. Truly insufferable.
The fact that Vegas did extremely well against both toss and also helped defend all the attack they threw at the zerg is nothing short of great gameplay. Only to be drowned out by an ignorant teammate.

One of the reasons i quit learning starcraft is this, my favourite gamemode is 2v2s and the amount of toxic brick heads i get is insane. So i stopped trying to learn, stormgate here we go.
Either you can destroy your teammates buildings or you get walled into your own base with indestructible buildings etc. Griefers gonna grief.

This is typically my strategy. I always probe around aimlessly just above the main base to tickle the expansion. Then i rush straight thru the gash. Inevitably creating a zergling flood, leading, quite rapidly, into infesters 😉
If you think red racing stripes makes the probes go you should see how fast they go when you get the proper exhaust upgrade!
Great pivot taking the Down's Syndrome comment from one of the players and making it about System of a Down instead. Definitely could have been offensive but ended up being funny. Nice work PiG!

I'm plat and play lots of team games in sc2, most gamers are actually pretty even tempered however I have had the distinct displeasure of playing with TropicalFruit several times. This display is typical for him.
Now I kinda like having friendly fire on (for realism, not trolling), what I would like is the option not to queue with players you have on your block list.
Now I want a 2v2 showmatch but with the teams split so one player is a pro trying to win while the other is a bronze league dropout trying to sabotage.
I don't think friendly fire should be disabled permanently in this game since you might need to bust your ally's wall if they walled you off from where you need to be. But yeah, we shouldn't be allowed to friendly fire this easily. Such a troll this zerg is.
I just had a horrible session in Rubicon PvP and this brings a massive smile on my face! Thanks for making my day better PiG!

Actually this is closest to behavior of For Honor players in 2v2, each guy of the same team 1v1 one of the other and then the winner proceeds to 1v1 final, while actually the 2v2 is meant to be a team fight

Whenever someone demands time before attacking, I think it's best to bunker rush.
Killing your opponents buildings can be useful in case of a wall or sth.
I had my teammate in Co-op destroy my base bc I set up defenses on both lanes of Oblivion Express. Like, dude, the trains alternate routes, there's no reason for me to sit out half the map when we can be supporting each other.

You could even say they were on the *same* side, at least I thought they were meant to be? It turns out I have been playing 2v2 wrong!
this is the guy who slowed down his ling rush massively to break the rocks up top "on his side" and demanded his teammate break the rocks bottom to "stay on your side" repeatedly. Confusion is the appropriate response lol
I relate to this so much cuz I mostly play team games and 9/10 times my own teammates kill me cuz I'm not up to their standards

@@SS_BAJA There must be something fundamentally wrong with your play, find it vs ai, it is great for practice because there is no pressure (5 dedicated practice games is enough to fix one mistake), compare your play to others using replays and get back.

@PiGstarcraft Just saw the latest patch dropped and I was reading through it and I had a random balance thought for the new Cyclone. What if target lock could be maintained even if enemy unit cloaked/burrowed and possibly the target lock actually revealed the cloaked/burrowed unit? Would give some utility to Cyclones being able to track cloaked/burrowed units in those situations that the unit cloaks/burrows outside detection range/scan expires etc.
I really loved this video btw, should definitely cast some more team salt mines!

14:14 Because your ally building invulnerable stuff to block your stuff would be worse. Sometimes you can kill your griefing ally and still win. But if they can just build structures to permanently wall you off without air transports, or spread creep all over your terran/protoss base, then being unable to kill your ally's buildings and units would be just as restrictive on fun and common sense as being able to kill them.

@pig You should be able to kill your allies units and buildings the same way you can kill your own units and buildings. I mean, if your ally has a pylon blocking a hatch spot or a building needs to be destroy to open a wall in. There are many reasons. If your ally is going to kill you, they can do it passively just as easily as directly killing you. Pylon the crap out of your minerals, block in your units.
If someone behaved like this in a game with me, I would just say "I judge thou toxic, begone." and proceed to throw.

Where is the 1v1 replay after that game?
2vs2 is the worst for that, people who are too afraid to 1vs1 play it and take it really seriously. They take full complete credit for any wins, and blame any losses on their team mate. 3vs3 and 4vs4 are better for random teams because fewer people take it seriously. I always tell the team mates who are raging at me/another team mate they should go play 1vs1, because they must surely be so good when not held back by team mates they will be in GM in no time at all.

You should be able to kill teammate's buildings, but you should also be able to kick a teammate who is killing your buildings. I'd rather 1v2 than 1v3
I'm bad at starcraft, and I admit it, but I have fun. I'd probably try and find a way to troll TropicalFruit while playing because he'd annoy me so much... just like a tempest shift clicked on to attacking all the works in a base or something.
Is their no breakdown of how a team / individual did, like a losses / kills board?
You can view all the stats after a game. There's the overall score a units killed built and lost you can also view graphs for army value active workers and income rates and you can see the build order of any two players. And further you can look at the replay to see everything that happened.
@@mwperk02 You can if you own the replay file, but I wanted to see the stats from these guys in this video. and as I don't own the replay all I can do is request they be shown at the end at some point.

This is why I stopped doing ranked/unranked team games in sc2.
