    🔻KNOWN ISSUES 🔻
    • WINDOWS NIGHTLIGHT may not work after disabling services
If you have this issue try this solution, open regedit and paste the following path:
    Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\CloudStore\Store\DefaultAccount\Cloud
delete the following keys and reboot
    default$windows.data.bluelightreduction.bluelightreductionstate
    default$windows.data.bluelightreduction.settings
Alternatively i highly recommend these tools to set displaybrightness:
    justgetflux.com/
    github.com/blackholeearth/Win10_BrightnessSlider
    • Laptop users reported issues with bluetooth
    • Windows store and ms-edge are evil spyware harvesting your personal information, dont use my servicedisabler if you love being spied on.

As an actual IT Systems Engineer, I cannot stress enough the following:
    1. NEVER DOWNLOAD ANY EXECUTABLE LIKE THAT AND RUN IT BLINDLY.
ESPECIALLY IF YOU CANNOT UNDERSTAND WHAT IS HAPPENING IN THE BATCH FILE.
For one it's a big security risk and on the other hand...
    2. It may be that you deem all of what you just deactivated unnecessary, this does not mean this is true for each and every one.
One should only deactivate what you know is not needed.
For instance "Windows Update". Only users who know what they are doing should deactivate Windows Update. The vast majority of users should never deactivate Windows Update.
The risks far outweigh the benefits.
    3. If you want to optimize your system either get help from someone you know or start to read or use Chat GPT or something.
There are plenty of usefull documentations out there to help.
Disabling 50+ Windows services without knowing what they are doing will create more problems than it will solve.

      I agree
If you would set this as a global rule, don't run things you don't understand, 99.9% of humanity had to quit using computers, phones, cars alltogether, windows itself by default behaves similar to malware.
Collecting information about an invidiual and profiting of it.

This disabled something that I really enjoy using and I was wondering if anyone knows of a workaround. When you press Windows+Shift+S, you open snipping tool and you can select any area on your display > it gets stored in clipboard and you can paste the image. While I'm still able to open the tool and select an area, it doesn't get stores in clipboard anymore and I can't paste it.
Update: also affects things like copying calculator values (doesn't work at all).
Temporary "fix" for the snippet tool is a free software called Lightshot, in case that helps anyone.

The update version is better than since you have more options not disabling useful services such as Wifi if you do use it.
It decrease the background services running by 25-30% compare to me manually disabling services.
Its also 42-48% less services compare to freshly installed windows.
But compare to just disabling services the script also disabled some TASK.
The Cons is the one of the script "about privacy" is detected as virus by windows.
And when combined by other UTS, Bloatynosy & further tweaking services in msconfig (hiding windows services) it further reduce it to 30-34% vs my manual setting & UTS+Bloatynosy while 50-54% with fresh windows.

to remove smartscreen you need to take ownership of the file and then rename it or delete it.
if you dont know how to do that, you can use nsudo (a powerful system administrator tool), in nsudo use the option "enable all priviliges" and select my file from mega or github "delete bloatware"

We forget because we are accepting anything software vendors give or don't give us.
Nobody will accept such behavior with their cars.
We forget to update because they made us lazy by automatic stuff sold as an advancement ion technology.
Me as a coder never add auto updates, there is a button to press if you want to check, and you don't need to start 5 browser-processes for doing that.
No program should ever connect to the internet without the user knowing about it.
Online activations are a joke, renting software is another one. Sold as we "try to get you up to date any time" - who asked for it ?
All this nonsense it NOT a feature. Telemetry? wtf!
for the linux fan-boys: this is not a windows-thing alone
so, yes disable that update-crap. if you can... relearn to think for yourself.
It tells you what, when an update called KB233456 is being prepared for you, and you have no chance to say "no, thanks".
Why is my machine so important to them ?
Again, what if a bunch of guys show up, and update your car over night with stuff you don't know or need - butas a bonus you get a new color.

      It's not a stup!d question.
There is only ONE valid reason to keep windows updates enabled and that's security, and this reason isn't enough to justifiy what microsoft does to your hardware and you.
On windows, you are the product, unless you take action to stop exactly that.
      What i do?
1 Fully block ALL microsoft connections.
2 Use opensource firewall software to control all network connections
      simplewall + portmaster
3 Manually download and install windows defender definition updates

After Windows version 1809 it is impossible to disable windows update. You can disable it but it'll re-enable itself because there's a watchdog service that re-enables it and the Watchdog service is impossible to disable.

      @PrivacyisFreedom  11 месяцев назад

      No that is incorrect.
You can disable windows update and i say that because ive done it.

@@PrivacyisFreedom There's a service Windows UPdate Medic that is not disableable (it's protected) and that keeps enabling Windows Update.
