I bought the deepower 1.5" fixed blade and the deepower lighted no ks and they work flawlessly. Thanks for coming in with all this information about affordable Archery gear because times are tough out here.
I try to buy American-made as often as I can, but with lighted nocks I'd be willing to bet that they're all made elsewhere. Thanks for the great info and review! I've been using these for almost a year now as well, and will continue using them.
I've been using the deepower crossbow nocks this year. After about 100 shots, 20 shots each on 3 of them, I have had no problems, no deformations, and no failure to light or stay lit.
That is insane I'm going to order a pack right now. Thanks for reveiwing these. I've always wanted to use lighted knocks but refuse to pay that high prices.
I've used some of the lighted nocks off Amazon with the switch similar to that and they've worked quite well. I found them to be more durable than Nocturnals and not as bulky as Glory/Halo nocks. Half the price as well.
I've bought several products based on your reviews. I know they are honest and you would tell us if it's a bad deal. So far, I'm loving the sevr 1.5 broadheads and the deepower nocks. I was just looking at deepower again and noticed these keaup, so i searched for a review from you, and what do you know, you've already done it lol. Keep up the great work. I watch almost everything you put out.
I bought a pack of these about 2 months ago, i didn't get the universal fit. None have malfunctioned, they fit my victory 245 arrows well, but after inspecting them last night i found 2 of them that had developed hair line cracks in the end of them. Im not going to keep using them, but i think if you were just hunting with them and not doing target practice they would be fine. i paid less than 2 bucks a piece for em, so really can't complain. 5:03
Yeah, what I found is the same thing happens even with much more expensive lighted nocks. I’ve rarely had any break. Sometimes they fall apart when the battery comes out. But I’m pretty careful to not hit the knock of one arrow with a tip of another.
I'm not worried about the Chinese stuff, my coffee maker forks spoons pans and just about everything in my house is made in China, including my phone. Getting a good price on lighted nocks is what I have done. These look like the ones I have had for 8 months. They are really nice. Mine weight is 15.5 grains without the adapter. I will continue to use mine.
At my range 2 weekends ago , bright sunny day, guy was running new Halos out to 50 yards to test and you could barely see them . I sent 3 of these , bright as day . Ive stocked up lol
How is the fit on the string compared to Halo and Nocturnal? I moved over to Halo because the fit of the Nocturnal caused a shift in POI compared to field tips. Otherwise, I liked your tests of these. They seemed to hold up well.
Idk how but it would be a good idea to test it under pressure. I took some deep powers to Colorado high country and most of them didn't work. As soon as I got back to Texas they started working again
I gave up on lighted nocks about 5 years ago. I tried Burt Coyote lighted nocs, Lumenocks, Firenocks and some no name Amazon lighted nocks and none of them worked on any of my 3 crossbows for more than a few shots and some didn't work at all. I shot them from my Scorpyd Orion, Mission 360 and my Killer Instinct Boss 405. They would either break at the shot (yes the nock was set properly against the string) not come on, come on and not be able to turn them off again or they would work a time or 2 and then not work. Maybe there are some out there that work very well on a compound bow but not on my 3 crossbows. At his point I wasted enough money on them until something is made that can truly be counted on to work.
Am I the only one who understands why they used to always have the hard to reach internal switch? When Nockturnal introduced the “shift” with an external switch like this, I suspected it would shut itself off on a pass through. That’s exactly what happened on two consecutive deer. Luckily I found the arrows. But come on!
Crazy. I predicted it and then went 2 for 2 with it shutting off. That was the Nockturnal Shift only, but now I don’t trust ones with external switches. Good for practice but not hunting.
Man I love using lighted knocks and ive used deeppower for the last 2 years and my only issue was halo nock people at TAC events harrassing me saying that im neutering my arrow using cheap amazon ones, my nock fit is good and i shoot out to 130 with them, i just dont see how a halo nock would shoot any better than the deeppowers. I bought a 3 pack of halo nocks once, 1 didnt work out of the package and the other 2 didnt work within a week of using.
Yeah, all lighted knocks. Have a lemon every now and then. At least with the Deepowers or or these Keaups, you’re not out much money if when doesn’t work. I used Deepowers for TAC last year.
every cheap lighted nock I have tried makes it a couple shots and stops working they seem to work fine for 60ish pound but 75-82 pounds they dont last at all.. my hunting bows are 82 pounds nocks dont last long for me ether way...I also use the halo nocks love them but they are not as bright as the other big names but they work so much better no coming on when I nock an arrow in the tree...
I hear ya. But I will say I used Deepower nock on every hunt and every broadhead test for at least two years. They performed every bit as well as any very expensive knock I used. I found that with Nocturnals, for example, about one and six did not work. That’s kind of par for the course with lighted nocks. I have been liking Halo nocks recently.
Any intrest in testing out the new grim reaper mace? It's thier new small game head.i recently bought 2 4 packs and would be willing to ship you one/ buy one.
Thanks Tyler. I’ve not come up with a good enough regimen to test small game heads yet. Maybe in the future.

I cannot support Chinese companies that infringe upon US companies to crash our markets. Given the Chinese manufacturing quality control, or lack thereof, you may have gotten lucky with a good run, next run may be a total bust. Thanks for the review, but I’ll spend extra to support Made in America…
John Lusk continues to create information with REAL VALUE for the archery community! Keep up the great work.
I really enjoy doing that. I just like to provide objective data so people can make informed decisions about what they want to use.
I love these tests John they really help because I'm buying for myself and my kids, thanks.
Yeah, they’re fun for kids to use, and are affordable to do that.

Thanks for sharing
Thank you. Please give us more reviews on lighted nocks.
I may do that in the future. I certainly have tried a lot of different ones. Thank you for the suggestion.

Thanks for that comment
Just bought a set for my Swat X1. Fit the .300 shaft perfectly without an adapter. I love them!
Nice
Awesome review! Definitely curious about those crossbow nocks. No one really has done a deep dive into different lighted crossbow nocks!
I've been using the deepower crossbow nocks this year. After about 100 shots, 20 shots each on 3 of them, I have had no problems, no deformations, and no failure to light or stay lit.
@@lacky903 thank you I really appreciate it ! I’ll grab some !
Yeah, I’m curious about them as well. They don’t seem as beefy as Lumenoks.
Awesome review John!
I used the Keaup broadhead on my spring turkey this year. I would love to see them go through your 2024 protocol.
Yeah I wanted to test them. But I still have about 40 heads that I have not yet tested. Many of those will have to be for next year.
Been using these for 6 months..they are great!
Nice.
That is insane I'm going to order a pack right now. Thanks for reveiwing these. I've always wanted to use lighted knocks but refuse to pay that high prices.
Yep. That’s why I tested these.
I've used some of the lighted nocks off Amazon with the switch similar to that and they've worked quite well. I found them to be more durable than Nocturnals and not as bulky as Glory/Halo nocks. Half the price as well.
Yeah, I’ve tested quite a few from Amazon. And some of them have done really well, like these.

Haha. That’s awesome. I’ve used these knocks on quite a few tests and they just keep performing very well.
Will they cut on when the arrow releases or do you have to manually turn them on?
Thanks for the video and the info. I’ll probably give those a try for sure.
👍
I been using deepower ever since u made their review they been great for the price
Yep. I think these are a bit lighter than the deep powers were. But I have to check that to be sure.
I’ve been using deep power since you reviewed them , zero issues
Same. Love em
Good to hear.

The price is the deal maker. Even if a couple of them fail somehow still way ahead on the cost factor.
That’s when I think as well.
Would like to see you test the strength of the nock ears.
Any thoughts on how to do that?
At my range 2 weekends ago , bright sunny day, guy was running new Halos out to 50 yards to test and you could barely see them . I sent 3 of these , bright as day . Ive stocked up lol
:)
My only question would be which way do you push the switch to turn them off? Is it something that could get turned off by simply going through a deer?
In-set switch. Very unlikely to shut off . I've blown my thru mono cellular foam(way more dense than a deer) and never shut off
No. It cannot turn off in a deer. I really have to dig my thumbnail into it and press up on it. There is not like a big button sticking out.
How is the fit on the string compared to Halo and Nocturnal? I moved over to Halo because the fit of the Nocturnal caused a shift in POI compared to field tips. Otherwise, I liked your tests of these. They seemed to hold up well.
They were nice & snug for me. Similar to Halos, better than some Nockturnals
Idk how but it would be a good idea to test it under pressure. I took some deep powers to Colorado high country and most of them didn't work. As soon as I got back to Texas they started working again
That’s interesting. I cannot see how less air pressure would affect them.
@LuskArcheryAdventures I think it causes the batteries to swell. Similar to how a bag of chips expands when going from low to high altitude
I like that! 👍🏻
Yep

Yeah, I’ve heard that quite a bit before. But I’ve never had it happen on an animal, personally. And that’s what dozens and dozens of shots.
Crazy. I predicted it and then went 2 for 2 with it shutting off. That was the Nockturnal Shift only, but now I don’t trust ones with external switches. Good for practice but not hunting.
I had someone comment on my channel on a d power broadhead review asking if I had tried the keaup broadheads I sent her to your channel to check lol😂
Hahah. Nice
Time to order somen
Yep

These are identical to the universal deepower nocks. Pretty sure it's the same company.
They told me they are connected, but are also separate in some way.
I asked him that. They told me they are connected as companies, but are also separate in someways.
Do they group well?
They did great for me.

Of The deep powers I bought 2 were dead n the 3rd after first shot would not shut off
That’s disappointing. Quality control can be an issue with them.
They seem to work, but I buy made-in-the-usa products whenever possible, so Halo nocks for me. Good testing, though.
Yep. I understand.
What makes you think Halo nocks are made in the USA? Nothing on their website states that.
Any intrest in testing out the new grim reaper mace? It's thier new small game head.i recently bought 2 4 packs and would be willing to ship you one/ buy one.

I understand. I’m not promoting them, just testing them.
Nockturnal or nothing
Ok
damn... i wish they would be available in europe too 🥲
Oh I didn’t know they weren’t.
