    Отличный обзор, Спасибо!
    В живую они гораздо интереснее обыгрывают цветами, чем на фото.

    Amazing collection! The Parker Duofolds' inspired design DNA can still be found in many modern pens today!!! German, Italian even Japan made pens...

    I wonder if the "½" on the DQ might mean that it's a vest pen model. It's what a "½" stands for in a Waterman's.
    I understand the liking to use the DQ. Some of the Parker lower end pens are really nice to write with. (Parkette, Challenger, even the 21.)

    • @OdE-ObjectosdeEscrita
      @OdE-ObjectosdeEscrita  2 года назад +1

      Maybe. But this one is not a vest pen size. But it may have the wrong blind cap "stollen" from a vest pocket one, I don't know. I just know I love that pen. It is so nice and unimpressive. But very nice. I also love the Challenger.

    Quite an enviable collection and interesting history ! Hope you’re going to cover British Duofolds and Slimfolds in upcoming video(s) !
    Thanks to these Parkers being absurdly expensive, Jinhao 100s are so popular !

    • @dashsunil

      Modern duofolds are nowhere close to the vintage ones in terms of build quality. Still, they charge extraorbitant price. I have some friends who shared the plating on the trim wear off as they are cheaply done. At their retail price, one can get a MB 146 or Pelikan m800 by carefully waiting for a good offer.

    • @dashsunil
      @dashsunil 2 года назад +2

      Just to add , the price of duofold is almost doubled what it was a few years ago.

      If all goes as planned, the video on the British Duofolds will come next week. But I have only a few of the British Duofolds. I like the Jinhao 100 a lot. And they will come up in the fourth video of this series. The idea is: 1- Vintage US (this one); 2- UK Duofold; 3- Modern Duofold; 4- Pens inspired by Duofold.

      @@dashsunil I have to say I like the modern Duofold a lot. About plating issues, I only had problems with the plating on the ring next to the nib. But I think most pens have plating issues, including Montblanc. And specially Waterman.
      Anyway, I prefer the modern Duofold to the vintage. I love the design of these pens. I love them. But I think the new ones are better built and more resistant and not as "breakable" as the vintage.

    I just found a Parker Duofold in with some of my art supplies. Not sure how or where I acquired it. It’s missing the lid. It looks just like those black ones being described about 16 or 17 minutes into the video.

    I was keenly awaiting this video on the Duofolds, since you mentioned your plan of doing it in your last Friday Nights video. What a treat to watch this line-up of your Duofold pens. I cannot praise, thank (and envy) you enough.
    Your collection of your Duofold pens is quite similar to one I presently own of the vintage Sheaffer Balance, another historic, classic and iconic American pen model. Equally desirable and collectible as the Duofold. But my collection of the Balance is only 8, much smaller than yours. I really like the button filler system of the Duofold. I like it better than the lever filler.
    I have only two modern Parker Duofold pens. A red and a black one. Both mighty special to me. The Duofold has always been my clear favorite Parker pen ever. The design is immortal and the pen is an outright classic. It would be nice if I could get a vintage Duofold, too. Perhaps, I will try this year.
    The Parker Lady Striped Duofold pens you showed at the end are ones I’d love to have immediately.

    • @OdE-ObjectosdeEscrita
      @OdE-ObjectosdeEscrita  2 года назад +1

      Thank you for watching and commenting. I also like a lot the button filler system, so typical of Parker. I agree that Sheaffer is as iconic as Parker. But I think I am more on the Parker team. I always loved the Duofold model a lot. This is not a comprehensive collection or anything. Just some pens I acquired throughout the years and some are not really that much a favourite of mine. But some are...
      I also love the modern Duofold. They are a very good re-interpretation of the vintage model. I have a few and the 3rd video on this series will be about those.
      I will eventually sell those Striped Duofold. They are beautiful (the material) but small and they are not my favourite Duofold shape...

      @@OdE-ObjectosdeEscrita …I’m only repeating myself in saying that I regard the Parker Duofold very highly and fondly indeed. The Duofold is almost like the most fundamental definition and the instant picture I always imagine of a fountain pen.
      I love my pair of modern Duofolds. I even think I perhaps prefer the modern ones to the vintage.
      The Lady Striped Duofolds are indeed extremely appealing. And now that you said it, I guessed right that they may be a little too small for comfort.
      Overall, all things and models considered, (vintage only), I’m still on the Sheaffer team. 🙂 There are very many vintage Sheaffer models that I love too much - even if I don’t own them all. The Balance pens and the PFMs are my two big favorites. Vintage Waterman is equally loveable and collectible. Others would include Wahl-Eversharp in that category.

      @@sajjadhusain4146 Agree. If someone asks me to draw a fountain pen, the Duofold will be the drawing that I'll make!
      One of the Lady Duofolds is now sold. Which is great because I never used them and I am not that much into using such small and slim pens.
      I on for Parker Team... But I must admit I currently have 5 Sheaffer pens inked...

      @@OdE-ObjectosdeEscrita …Good that you could sell off pens that you are not too crazy about and don’t even use anymore. Selling what you don’t like or want is a nice, wise way to help future buying of what you desire and will use. 🙂
      What a happy coincidence that I also have five Sheaffers inked for the past ten days. There are 4 other pens also inked right now. I usually have 10-12 pens inked simultaneously. I’m in Team Sheaffer, still. And on Planet Aurora. 😀
