How has this channel not blown up.. A master craftsman that actually completes projects.... 👋👋👋
He's literally one of like, 4 tubers who actually finishes all the projects he films lol!
its because he's a business, with some serious money coming at him. VS a 30 year old hobbyist, with just extra personal income.
Yeah what an amazing workman.
It’s good to see someone who actually takes safety seriously even making his kids wear protective gear. That is so important being an older person now who worked when protective gear wasn’t around I now suffer from some hearing loss so keep up the good work. Love this new channel.
Dang Austin! These builds continue looking more "impossible" and yet turn out even better than the last. Kinda excited to see what the artist did with the back wall, though I liked what you went with as a temporary finish as well. Good job sir!
The artist really knocked it out of the park. It looks so cool now. His name is Sick Fisher and he lives in Chicago
You & your Family make a good Team & the Truck turned out great, the Front Bumper suits the truck, perfectly 👍
Thank you for letting the wannabe builder inside of me live vicariously through you! Amazing job and great editing!
Great result, very well done. What I think is crucial is the way you involve the kids. Whenever I done projects at home I got the kids involved. Fantastic ice cream truck, but as it is well after 2am I'll catch up more later. Great post 👍
Love your work mate! Came out exceptional!
Fantastic!! And you personally deliver… for a quick painting of the back wall I think you did great, the sprinkles were a good touch. The bead rolled ice cream cone panel was cool too. You should have done a second one into the back door… but that’s just me 😂
I offered to do one on the back wall, but they wanted it flat in case they vinyl wrapped it down the road
I wish you can build a shaved ice truck for me🤞
Amazing!
Nice to see the little people helping. :)
Handy nut fitter you have there. Mine all grew up, got attitudes and left home.
Wow you work fast. And I think the front bumper looks great. Thanks for sharing. Looking forward to the next project.
First, you did an amazing job! Second, with 730 hrs invested in the build at $150/hr, that's over $100k just in labor. Is this a $200k build and how much would a "new" truck be? I'm assuming more, but I never guessed these food trucks were so much money. Again, great job!
It wasn't quite that much because My Cousin and Uncle own the business I built this for, so I didn't charge as much as I normally would. New ones are incredibly expensive. Like 125-150 for the normal roach coach style
@@AustinCoulsonwhat would you charge for a build like this if it was for someone who wasn't family/friends?
Amazing work!
Your so good, i really enjoyed every episode and i feel moody cause the project has ended already.. was always anxious to see an episode every week.. but anyways happy you pulled this off.. cheers
I honestly hope you are not relying on that 10 awg cable coming from your 7 pin to charge the Delta. Max is about 120 watts from the cigarette lighter port.
I should have clarified that input is 180 watts max, and it only charges if the battery temp is low enough. It does offset a little while driving, as the average pull is around 300 watts while driving.
Congrats bro!!! Well done man! (BTW she can screw small nuts OMG !!!! My oldest still struggles, righty tighty! 🤦♂)
The thumbnail pic looks great!
I see a few lined up in the background....can't wait.
Turned out amazing
👍👍👍👍👍👍
Awesome video as always... Really enjoyed the song "Heads Up." The instant it started in your video is moved to first place in my minds music play list. Gotta say not many songs have ever done that... Cheer's...
There are so few songs I like in the RUclips library so I use that one all the time. I'll be subscribing to epidemic sound soon so I can start to get different music on my videos, but i'm sure I will sneak that song into my videos again in the future
@@AustinCoulson Awesome... Cheer's...
@@AustinCoulson question what song is it?
that's so lovely Austin!!!!! Love it!!
Put solar panels on the top of the truck, Truck looks awesome and having your kids help was awesome.
That would have added 900$ so they are waiting to see if it's necessary later
That's the coolest
I was thinking, if this guy fabricates the roll up shutter, I’m going to fall out. 😂
looks amazing
So glad to see this!
Again, you and the family have built what dreams are made of.
♥️♥️♥️
you should out also fire ball extinguisher in case of fire
Nice project, the truck looks fantastic, clean, great build! I'm a little surprised you didn't use a common, low cost shorepower connector, and an autotransfer switch to charge the ecoflows and run the loads while 'docked' The DC wire you selected is a bit thin to send the maximum load (15a@~12v, 180w) the length of the truck. That looked to be 12awg, and over 30ft, that's a 15% voltage drop at full load, delivering only 10v to the ecoflows. The wire will get hot. I'd recommend a 6 awg wire, which would get you to 3.5% drop over 30ft. And of course use a keyed source (or a contactor that operates off a keyed source.) Or just not doing it at all, as 180w isnt really much of a dent in the power pull of that setup. Overall though, man, great setup.
The cig lighter input maxes out at 180W and the run is less than 10' from the fuse box so It doesn't have any issues getting hot. Generally when the freezers are at temp with product driving around the power consumption is around 300 Watts, so it offsets about half that, which isn't a lot, but its better than nothing. I considered running a 2000 watt inverter on the truck to charge it faster while driving because the truck has an upgraded alternator from it's school bus days, but they wanted to wait on that and maybe do it later.
@@AustinCoulson Totally understand the customer sometimes kiboshes an idea or puts it on the backburner! Fantastic work either way.
I love your work, but dang I miss the detail like you would share in the builds from Phoenix time. I wanted more info on: The rear bus type lights. How did you get them lined up even with each other. That rolling door, how you attached it, what's it like opening and closing it? And that automated awning, pretty slick. Any battles installing it? Getting it lined up, did you have to struggle to get the two arm/brackets smooth? Is the awning running on house battery or engine battery. One motor or two?
I am not asking you to answer all this in comments, just letting you know the types of things I was thinking during this video. I was like "oh no, stop the timelapse, slow down and talk about it."
I appreciate your work, I just want more detail. Hehe, maybe I am just old.
Thank you for your videos.
I wish I could spend more time on the videos, but they just don't get enough views to justify the time to go into greater detail. It also seems like I am always rushing against the clock to get these trucks finished so I speed up at the end.
@@AustinCoulson Fair enough. Thank you.
I actually like the time lapse, it makes more interesting. @@AustinCoulson
such a shame that the hot side of the refridgerator compressors couldn't support the hot water requirements.
1000% This used to drive me so insane in AZ when people would have an air conditioned house and a heat pump on their pool. Should have just used one unit cooling the house and heating the pool
I so wish they would build things like this. There is a name for it and some thing now have that exact thing. I would love to have remote compressors for my fridge and freezers as I do have a bunch of them.
You make it look easy and correct, I know lots of hard work involved making this work. Love your channel hope it grows to a million..
👋
Great transformation. Love to see your little ones helping out :)
And the bumper looks great!!
What did you do for wipers on the windshield?
It has the original wipers wired up to the new harness
@@AustinCoulson Probably the best way. I must have missed the part where you mentioned it. On your pizza truck build now. Saw your forklift build for my second lineup. Love the content and the fabrication.
@@alk3myst I don't think I showed the wiper conversion. It was simple, I just stole power from the van wipers and sent it to the factory dash switch. I wanted to wire it into the van multifunction switch on the steering column but it was not happening with the way the speed controls worked on the old vs new wiring.
@@AustinCoulson The wipers overhead I never cared for. Better to keep the cowl ones even if you need an extra switch. Just went through all your Pizza Truck videos. Amazing talent.
Didnt realise it was heading for Chicago. Wot a shame. You could have saved the ice cream company a bunch of fuel money, by having someone closer to you from your neck of the woods stealing it, committing crime in it then burning it. . If it spends anytime in Chicagone it'll end up toast, burnt toast.. beautiful job none the less well done ....
Dang, it sounds like you really don't like Chicago. I only know it from visiting the suburbs
Can you provide more info on those ceiling panels? Or a link? Those would be perfect in my rec room.

Just saw this. Thanks again.
Always enjoy your projects and your attention to detail Austin. Beautiful job. It turned out great 👍👍
Awesome job. Can I ask how much do you charge for this project? Is $150-200K in the ballpark? Probably 800 man hours (including delivery). And guessing >$50K in materials?
You aren't far off. I didn't buy any of the interior equipment, so I am not sure how much it all cost, and I built this for my Cousin and Uncle so I lowered my labor rates. For a regular client if I bought all the equipment, this build would probably end up around 160K$
Good job to 😮😮😮😮😮
Hi, 13:30 video, what is the canopy model?
Do you Serve Ice cream for the Costumers But You’re getting paid.
Wow, that turned out great! I think building a complete house would be easier😂
Nice job
I thought you moved to Tennessee?
Nice work! I'm finishing up a 383 (450hp) with a 4L80E into a 1959 GMC 300 plow/dump. When it's done i'll have to bring it by if you were interested, super cool truck.
It looks like you welded galvanized steel with stainless. Aren't you worried about galvanic corrosion? It is in a truck which gets a lot of vibration.
I didn't use any galvanized steel on this build. What part are you referring to?
At around 14:00, when you were building the frames for the stainless steel table. What kind of steel was that? As I understand it, you shouldn't put different metals together as it can cause galvanic corrosion. This also applies to the different types of steel: galvanized, carbon and stainless.
@@neilbohrs5990 the frames were mild steel. I didn't weld the mild steel to the stainless, I glued and riveted them together after I painted the frame. I have welded stainless to mild before on exhaust systems, but corrosion wasn't an issue because they were painted with a high temp exhaust paint afterwards

why not solar?
They may add it in the future. We opted for an additional battery rather than solar out of a fear that there would be too many cloudy days or obstructions and they didn't want to risk running out of juice.
