First the pizza truck and now an ice cream truck. I live through your personal genius vicariously. Thank you for sharing your incredible skill(s) with us mere humans.
This is so awesome. The old cab made this truck so much cooler than the other foodtrucks out there. This was a fun series. I liked it better than the pizza truck because of the cool truck you used. I can't wait for the next project.
RUclips randomly worked its magic again and brought me here. I love narrated builds like this and you did a great job at that! Greetings from a new fan from germany!
I'm a 14 your old kid I love your videos. I have taken inspiration from you and bought a beat up go kart and transformed it into a great little toy. So thanks
Thats awesome. When I was 14 I would take my bicycle apart over and over. I wanted to build a go kart so bad, but it was impossible to find cheap parts back then as the internet was barely getting started
Outstanding job and a phenomenal amount of work. I hope the people that understand what it took to build it will explain it to those who just see a big pretty truck.
Bro you need your own show on Motor Trend!!! Your fab skills are next level!!!!!!! I couldn't imagine what a collab between you and Ian from Full Custom Garage could come up with.
Of all your "mad" skills... seeing you involve and teach basics to your kids, brought back memories of my dad teaching me his skills. Thanks a million.
For me journey on this channel started from forklift restoration.. and it honestly left me speechless. Quality of craftsmanship and even commentaries left by Austin to the video. Understanding and use of terms such as over engineering and counterproductive already made me like this channel a lot. Then I found this ice cream truck and then pizza truck.. all projects done with a serious thought put in them, not just slaping pieces together just to see how it will work but everything has it's purpose. Bravo 👏
@@AustinCoulson and videos like this make me appreciate craftsmanship in general. I learned so much from what you do when comes to parts fitting. And just not being afraid to cut something to make it fit. What you did with instrument cluster and front end fitting, just wow 👌 I was beyond impressed. Thank you for this content!
I watched your forklift video and then started the ice cream truck video as you suggested. The fabrication you did in both videos is amazing to say the least. I subscribed to your channel because you peaked my curiosity as to what you will do next. Finding your channel was by scrolling and curiosity. I also like the fact you allow your children to participate under your supervision. You also are a very fortunate man to have a wife who is capable and willing to get involved in your projects. I plan to view your other videos as well as watch for new postings. This was a very pleasant discovery for me. I'm retired and in my 70s. Thank you for worth while videography!
I'm from Spokane and I have got to say that turned out great. I'm sure you will be a channel I tune in on in the future. Enjoyed seeing the kiddos getting in on the build. That's great work for them to learn how to do.
That is so cute that family comes to help out. Especially how his boy in a bunny suit spraying and the fast motion looks like he is moving the kid around.
I wanted to compliment you on including your young children. Not just the gradual acculumination of skills, but more importantly is the confidence you're instilling in your kids. Especially your daughter. I did much the same with my granddaughter, who showed great interest and skill from an early age. She is now 17, a senior, and was just accepted into a journeyman electrician's program and is currently accumulating college credits as a high school senior in a junior electricians program through advanced schooling classes.
I think my daughter is more likely to follow my path than my son. He likes the designs and she likes the actual work. So glad your granddaughter is in that program. That is a great career path for so many reasons.
Hi Austin Coulson, greeting from Singapore. I got no words to describe about your technical skills, knowledge and engineering experience. Your ideas are awesome out of this world!! Your kids will gain more learning skills from you in the future. Hope someday i can see the project work that you doing and have a good day ahead. CHEERSS!!
"Wow, that timelapse of the complete custom ice cream truck build in just 34 minutes is absolutely mesmerizing! It's incredible to witness the skilled craftsmanship and meticulous attention to detail that went into creating this unique and eye-catching ice cream truck. The efficient and creative construction process showcased in the video is not only impressive but also inspiring. Kudos to the team for turning a vision into reality in such a short span of time. This ice cream truck is a true work of art, and I can imagine the joy it will bring to many. Great job!"
Particularly impressed with the hood and fender alterations. Your skills are crazy. Superb job dropping that cab on that later model chassis. I’ve been doing collision repair and custom body work and painting since high school and I am 60 years old now. I can totally respect what you have done here. Impressive. VERY impressive.
To avoid your further disappointment, 😔, as instructed I watched this after your forklift video, once again, nice job . Excellent metal fab skills. Gooday from AUS 🇦🇺
The forklift video popped up and at the end, you said 'Nobody watched my ice cream truck video', and given how good the forklift one was, I thought I should watch it - glad I did! Excellent work! Liked and subscribed!
Wow. The forklift was a discovery, the ice cream dream truck another. Thank you for your excellent work, filming, editing and publishing. Kind regards.
Came here from your forklift rebuild, you mentioned that it didnt have as many views as you'd like it to have. A thought that could be is the format that the video is done in, this one has no commentary and just music over a time lapse, in 3 months of this video being up its got 26k views whereas your forklift has 9x that in 8 days. Perhaps you should look at doing more commentary in your videos? could give you the views you're after. Your work is incredible and I feel you deserve more views
Nice paint job. Glad they decided to keep your back wall the same as you painted it. The only addition i would might have made is putting an LCD board on the side where you serve to that tells prices and flavors etc. One on each side of the window would be good. Of course you would have to put a glass covering over them and maybe either give them their own power source or add to the one in the equipment.
Austin, was awesome the restoration of this old truck using the camshaft of a Chevrolet shool bus to turn it into a ice cream truck 🚚 Congratulations! Sergio Cantos
I don’t know what planet you’re from but your skills are not of this world! I’m a huge Derek Bieri (vice grip garage) fan but this is on another level altogether! Much respect from Scotland 🏴👍🏻
This really hit home recognizing every part on that ford. Not gonna lie, it did hurt a little seeing the cab get cut away but it you'd never known the difference
Even though it was a lot of work getting that cab to fit on the van chassis I'm sure it was a boon to reliability and safety. It looks like there were few if any changes to all of the important mechanical bits. As fun as engine swaps are getting them to run right is an uphill climb. Seeing an old truck be chopped might hurt a little but lets not kid ourselves, most of them rot away in a field as projects that never get started. This is a vastly more interesting vehicle than it would've been with an old van cab still on it. I love that it was a school bus that was the donor for the chassis and drivetrain. It's helped kids in its old life and its new one, albeit the new one is a lot more fun! Let's not forget the body. That old-timey ice cream parlor design is delightful.
This guy gets it I get so many comments about how I'm destroying classics but I feel like doing it this way makes them so much more reliable so that now they can be enjoyed by people daily for years to come instead of rotting behind an old garage.
Alright thats it, I've decided that we must clone you and distribute you across the globe lol. Outstanding work man. Just mind-blowing fabrications, especially with the cab bit. New subscriber with no regrets!
This is so awesome you. You are a good man to your wife and children. I hope to be 1/4th the man you are sir when im your age. Keep up the good work and Peace be with you in Jesus name
I'm a guy that's pretty deadset on not having kids myself but that little clip of your kids playing on the trampoline while you weld the side panels was heartwarming to me haha
Only just found your channel. Fantastic project. I wish I had the skills and space to do it. I've always been good with a spanner and hammer but bodywork takes more patience than I have to get the finish right. I rescued a ford pickup in the 90's but had to pay for the finishing touches.
Shared video on my Facebook. How this only has 12k views is blowing me away. Should be way over 1 million by now! Incredible work. Just finished watching the forklift build, you're keeping me entertained while I have to just sit here after surgery.
I enjoyed every second of this build! Even learnt some tips and tricks from you. Love your all in one shear, brake, and roller! I’m taking your idea of using paper plates when using body fill ! That blew my mind right there brother! Also really like how you have the spray area setup in your shop! I’m enjoying your channel.✌️💚
I would love to shake your hand as a sign of respect Man! Not because we do same things (I make knives), but because we both don't take shortcuts, don't afraid to make hard projects and don't reject ideas that require huge amount of time and work! Amazing build, skills, imagination and creativity. Sadly ,I know as much as you, that sometimes algoritms see the content less interesting as it is. Don't give up like I did. In a time, you will hit 1M views :)! Regards from Poland, David
First the pizza truck now this. I’m a subscriber now. I’m very impressed with your skills. That’s not an easy to combination an old truck and a small bus especially with the van front end. Seems like it would have been easier to use a pickup style box truck as your base. Very well done. I have seen some crazy builds and one offs. Most end up being more expensive to build than what you can sell them for. Usually it’s the shear amount of labor hours that makes it so expensive. Well done. 🫡👏🏼
Excellent craftsmanship and end result. Yet there's part of me that just wished the pickup got restored, and you just fabricated look-alike parts for the ice cream truck. Looking forward to the next project.
Nice fab work! Sectioning those front fenders and hood seems like it would be fun haha My pops is doing a swap similar. Hes dropping a 70 C10 cab on an 04 Tahoe, lots of cutting and trimming to make everything line up. He's doing a series on our channel, defiantly still learning the process. I sent this to him and hopefully he can get some ideas from you about filler panels to bridge the gaps between new and old. Awesome that you got the family involved too! Thanks for the cool vid and happy building! 🤙🤙⚒⚒
Hi Austin golden hands ! I discovered your Channel from France, you are awesome man ! Fantastic job in this ice cream truck, so beautiful, respect. Continue like this, i think the forklift will be unsane also. Thanks a lot for sharing your work. Cheers. Sébastien
I made it through, great build. It def. hit differently than the other videos, I like the narration, without that it's just a crazy long welding montage, and I find myself skipping sections, as there's nothing to "understand" ... just great welding eye candy (still good) In your forklift video you mentioned nobody watched it, I'm here I watched it, It just hit different, not bad, just different enough.
Dude that was such a great build! I loved the video. I found you last night on the Hyster forklift. I can’t wait to view the rest. Keep up the great work!
Amazing fabrication! Definitely a joy to watch. I struggled a bit with the idea of a Ford cab / front clip going on a Chevy van chassis, but you pulled it off well!!

Came for the forklift, stayed for the truck. Awesome work! ☺

I had a show on Powernation. It was not fun... I like wroking by myself on RUclips way better
WOW! That was a lot of work. Well done.
Watching the whole build together makes it that much more impressive. The work you do is absolutely amazing and I'm so proud of you 😘
It’s great to see your helpers in the shop
Your ability to fabricate and build is top notch man! truly humbling to watch.

It’s great you’re sharing your skills with your children

Memories, and inspiration, abilities, capacit, comitment, knowledge, wisdom, thankfulness.

Very creative. It takes some amazing skill to fit that old truck over a modern bus frame.

How does one person encompass so much talent? Blows my mind!
Wow! I`m blown away. I absolutely love it! All of it!
