Hi GLP, thanks for the video. Well constructive and informative. I can now apply for Conway with confidence and no more £2500 grand a year at Liverpool. Hope to meet up with you guys over the coming year.
I have a Super Sovereign 35 and am mooring Noss on Dart Marina. I want to find somewhere cheaper; I wouldn't mind a swinging mooring. I live in South Wales, but I'm happy travelling to North Wales; any suggestions?
Really useful video. We're looking to buy our first boat and this was a huge help. Could I ask, are you still at Conwy, and if so how is it these days? We'd likely try and apply for a swing mooring if they're any still available
ohhh would you do a vid and get some shots of the nora louis especially the front stay fitting as it looks like a kent class which is my project boat and would love to compare the fittings etc ....pleaseeeeeeee :)
It's not a version of English - it's English spoken by an Englishman. If I was Second Chance I'd be very offended but he's obviously a lot more tolerant than I am.
Liking your videos Pete, you guys are funny. On the council moorings you say rd £800, when you pull the boat out for winter and put it on land at ABC, Dicks etc what do they charge per week or month ? Looking to move up from dinghy sailing and thinking of a 22ft/23ft lifting keel tailerable boat as I have a 4x4, I can bring the boat home for winter. Or a 26ft bilge keel and leave at boat yards.
Thanks George yes £800 council fees at Conwy council fees at abc moorings £170 lift out at dickies £140 each way and about £150 at abc dickies a bit cheaper per week on hard standing about £22 abc and £20 dickies
What's the difference between a floating mooring and a swinging mooring? (Sorry, newbie here). If the floating moorings are in danger of being bashed by the tourist boats, surely the swinging ones would be too? Thanks for an interesting video anyway.
Good to know.. I have heard a trip up to Conwy is planned by my club for next year. If the to-do list stops getting longer on my project Macwester, I may well be joining them. Hopefully be able to catch up with you all while there.
This video was the most informative ive ever seen, for a single man the information this gives rsgarding living aboard was fantastic.
Thanks info - God Bless you - Steve - Rivers of Life Oxford

Perhaps if you learned to spell before you decide to comment on a northern English accent!
