    If you are considering doing this please read the MDS for the ceramic fiber blanket you are using. Good respirator must be worn. That stuff is no joke. Not coming out of your lungs once it goes in. Beautiful set of ovens.

    Really cool idea to tie the ceramic blanket together with wire. I made a half barrel style oven and I had some lumps in corners from the chicken wire/blanket. Made a really crappy render over coat. Fortunately I decided to make a large rectangular brick veneer which covered that all up and it is not visible anymore. Glad to see that even a mason was kind of winging it on this build. I used plans from brick wood ovens site and then went off the rails a bit. But it looks great and works awesome for parties. Thanks for the upload. Really nice area you made for your customer

    Congratulations ! great Job, very clean mason job, precise bricks posing to perfection,,, my comment ? just one,,, the oven door design 🙈 🙉 . In such a great job, a separate - independent door closing with a longer corridor : between the 2 "mouths" of 30-40 cm allows you to control the temperature / air / combustion / smoke inside your ove> First door to be BEFORE the chimney. Thus would open up for you many many "cooking" options, using more & more the oven for almost everything : roasting ANY, grilling and yes also smoking meat - chiken fish... You are a maestro of BRICKS ! My compliments 🙏🏽🙏🏽

    • @tidybrickslandscaping
      @tidybrickslandscaping  5 месяцев назад +1

      Thank you for your comment as for the door and chimney well It didn’t seem to work that well I must admit it seemed to keep the smoke in and not go up the chimney for some reason ?? If I do it again I’ll certainly keep in mind of a longer tunnel from the entrance
      It’s almost rocket science 👍🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

    • @arabicgelato

      @@tidybrickslandscaping Im sure you are more than capable to nail it. Maybe to modify the actual one since the dome job is so neat - clean and nice ! If I was in you I will modified and you will have a RR oven 5 stars by all means ☺
      in reality I did 4 to be able to have the "actual" with a very good performance. Yet, the 5th one will be better 🙃 ☺ with few minor modifications.
      Been in italy for 25 years and I did them over here in Dubai.
      Smoke catching area (in the tunnel) and the first door to close the mouth of the oven BEFORE the chimney is a HUGE plus.
      Chimney diameter I think you did it of 20cm I guess it needed 25 with another 50 cm of hight.
      The Italians they believe in : Hight of the dome = Oven internal diameter :3/4. Means, a 110 cm oven must have a hight of abt 40cm max. The door max hight normally is between 22-25 cm. Means door hight must be 60% of the dome hight.
      I strongly believe in those values and they are very correct, taking into consideration the actual and the antique Forno a Legna present in each village in italy. those formulas are still exact, yet "new" materials / technique been introduced: Perlite for insulation - Vermiculate, Ceramic boards - Rockwell etc.
      This to allow perfect flow and heat maintenance with little fuel needed.
      After a learning the heat curve in the oven I build in reality Im smoking Brisket inside the 110 cm oven I have, menace almost constant tempreture of about 16-18 hours with very littel door opening - closing settings
      I wish I have your amazing precision and bricks posing ☺.

    You made the same mistake as I did. The fibre board needs to be under the outer wall too. The fire bricks conduct and hold heat, you'll loose heat into the concrete base, and it is quite a lot too.
    It was so annoying when I realised my mistake after someone pointed it out on a pizza build forum.
    Did you buy the board from Vitcas? It's not big enough for the quoted base in the description that's what threw me off. I cut into the bottom of the outer course in the end and made a concrete heat barrier with vermiculite, helped but didn't stop the heat loss.
    It's the difference of a pizza in a minute to three minutes, very difficult to reach really high temperatures 450+ I never put a door in mine though.

    • @tidybrickslandscaping
      @tidybrickslandscaping  Год назад +1

      All new to me I did think about doing that, but it didn’t feel right cementing on top of the board as the weight of crushed it and maybe cracked 🤷 👍🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

    • @WravTil
      @WravTil 10 месяцев назад

      Yes, I agree. There should have been 2 layers of insulation on the dome as well. I built my oven years ago in Italy using the Forno Bravo plans with a vermicucrete insulation base and had some heat loss at the join. The oven did get hot enough though - you can tell when it's right as all the soot burns off.
      The chimney isn't high enough either - chimney design is an art...

    • @Brusselsproutsk8
      @Brusselsproutsk8 10 месяцев назад

      @WravTil carbon soot burns at 500° mine can reach the temp but because of the base error it's hard to hold the high temp. It's still really good pizza 🍕 😋
