What a wonderful job you have done. The customer must be over the moon with the craftsmanship that has gone into it. So dedicated all the way through,I take my hat off to you for your commitment to finishing the job, especially with the very frustrating work with the saw. Nice you are still going to do videos. Thank you ever so much for all you have shown us.
You truly are a skilled master of your trade, I'm bricklayer myself and dabble with the odd patio here and there, but nothing of this scale. I think I'd need therapy after all that time stessing about angles and cuts! Haha. So fair play to you!
Sometimes customers forget just how much work goes into creating their dreams, good on you Tidybrick, your craftsmanship is top notch Sir, I've learnt alot from you, thanks
Stunning as always. Genuinely gutted that'll be the last bit of landscaping we'll see from you. Huge source of knowledge/inspo, you've helped me no end with my work. Looking forward to these pizza ovens. Keep on raving!!
Amazing, flawless job as always. Shame there was no fanfare at the end seeing as it's your last one. Should have blown a confetti cannon all over the new patio, handed the owner a dustpan and brush, then left ha. Your videos were invaluable in helping me lay my own porcelain patio last year with zero previous knowledge or experience. Just a simple rectangle shape, not a patch on yours but gets lots of compliments and is solid as a rock, so thanks for all the content!
Aye up Scott, pick yer jobs to suit you, standard flat patios etc. Some of these jobs are a pain in ass. I'm in same boat, sick to death of weather , customers, suppliers and running around. Im on last landscape job, only basic patios for me now that suit me. Can't be arsed anymore
@@tidybrickslandscaping yeah, picking up injuries aswell. Just simple patios and driveways for me now, no walls, no fencing, no options for customer, only products that my supplier stocks. Actually thinking of more profitable work, buying houses and tarting up.
Love it mate I’ve never laid slabs in my life and I’ve done a porcelain patio all The way around my house hard work and very hard to get the mortar level but all your videos helped so much especially when it came to doing to man hole covers, what a job that is 😂 I used sbr and cement been down a few months now no problem and looks amazing thankyou for all You knowledge!!!!!
Great bit of work. Understatement a massive job for one man and done to perfection. Even in summer a job like this has to be hard work but over winter in the cold and rain takes 4 times longer. So much in that job keeping ur head is an achievement in its self. Great job and look after yourself
Thanks Marcus for understanding how much went into that pretty much alone for the most and the winter we had didn’t help. Can’t wait for the final pictures it’ll be a award winner for sure 👍🏴
A bit of advice needed please I am laying porcelain tiles on blockwork planters vertically do you just use the primer to stick them ? Hope you leg is getting better🤞
Hi fantastic job that is. Ive just build some concrete block planters myself, ive built a roll of DPM tray on the first course the same that youd use over a lintel on a house, and what i intend to do is attach another tray down from the top and stick it down to the one from the botton , so it forms a full wall of dpm lining on the inside of the planter. Would you say thats an acceptable way of doing it. Ive asked people on landscape forums and theyre saying use bitchem paint instead, any thoughts on that mate. I cant see how a good quality dpm barrier which the soil would press against to the block woukdnt be suitable Regards
What mix did you use to attach tiles to concrete? Great work, second video I watched of yours - just ran across today. I live USA and find many products and methods you use a bit different, but I must say, it seems in general your country's work ethics and standards seem to bit higher than here in the USA
Thanks for watching another video of mine as for the method of tiling to the wall I used something called a slurry primer which is basically a cement type glue that goes on the wall and the tile and sticks really well together 👍🏴
Mate, nice work, I just come across your channel, I do structural landscaping here in Australia 🇦🇺 im a bricklayer also, im interested??...does this laying technic go drummy over time??. I would definitely say the dry method would? We lay concrete and glue here for big tiles like these, but this method would be a lot cheaper our way including everything works out bout $280 au...a square meter plus.
Good day soul😆 I’m glad you came across my channel as it’s always interesting on how other people lay tiles and as for your m2 rate that works out £143 my rate for porcelain is £190 so 365 dingo dollars I charge that mostly down to the grouting as it’s very messy and quite challenging because if you fuck up your screwed. Glad I don’t have to do it anymore 👍🏴
@@tidybrickslandscaping yep I feel the same sometimes but the money pulls us back all the time ,that's interesting that your getting that $$$ over there. Here we need to say close to stamped or pattern concrete in price, I would be happy at your rate im a 69 model we just need to learn to slow down a bit pace ourselves. I'm interested to see your pizza ovens I've done a few different designs over the years. I found them painful to fiddly happy now just doing smaller jobs where I don't have to employ many donkeys lol.
This is a common problem for this type job getting it right without walking away broke as I have done before. Day work rate for anything time consuming 👍🏴
Just wow m8 you do have a high skill set just amazing! Proper graft that! You should become a tutor passing on a wealth of knowledge.i could be wrong but something tells me pizza ovens are not going to mentality challenge you for long the feeling of pride and achievement after thede builds must be addictive. All the best 👍
Thanks for another fantastic video, as always. Can I ask you a quick question: Do you ever need to use a membrane on top of your MOT Type 1 and then sand before laying your porcelain tiles ? I am looking forward to your next chapter of work. All the best, Chris.
Hi Chris so no need for membrane on top of type1 and definitely no sand because it’s a loose material the cement goes straight on top of the type 1 Next chapter is rant time starts later tonight 👍🏴
What a great job,as always!! I couldn't help admire your back support and as I am nearly back broken it's about time I got one. What make is it please?

10mm are for inside not outside so no not really 👍🏴
