We were almost on our way out when he came back out and this was one of the coolest things I've experienced in a while!! The Eastern was a great venue for this, too
This was such a great night. You're welcome for the upload! Was hoping someone would get something out of it! Was so glad he came back out for another nearly 30 minutes! I had also turned around and started walking out already.
Given that Jacob attracts an audience likely to be largely musical themselves, at least to some degree, I always find it remarkable how he can turn a group of strangers into a three part choir capable of such tone and dynamics.
I was blown away. This is almost musical magic. A kind of voluntary and beneficial hypnosis. I had never seen anything like it. And the way it elevates the audience to a really beautiful choir. Of course, it helps that people in the US know about musical education (a girl out of tune is perceived, but not very noticeable). But they are highly tuned. Really, he did it. He managed to elevate this encore concert to the level of the northern lights... And, by the way, I'm 65 yrs old. So, I am grateful. wow 3 times
It IS Magic!!! U go on being 65 years young… JC brings out the youthfulness in us all!!! Tiring at the end of the day, but worth every exhausting breath!!! 🕉
I think the crowd wasnt as into him as some of his other our locations.. i heard people in line coming in talking about how they dont even listen to his music. I think some were there to check out the venue because the tickets were affordable.. thats just my theory
@@DylanJayce It's possible that the crowd wasn't as into him. I saw you and someone else mentioned that you were about to leave before they came back on. I just got out of the Detroit show and I don't think anyone except for the people at the very back would have started to leave. We had already started calling for an encore before they even left the stage. Edit: He did have a lot more fun with the rhythmic part of the audience improv in this video though.
mmmmm the last 5 min ... my god! So amazing so from another world, and that in the spot with a group of strangers. It Broth me into happy tears already two times !!!✌🏻✌🏽✌🏿✌️🙏❤️
Very impressive use of the crowd as a choir. No question that his persona and stagecraft are getting the most out of the audience. Presumably, he does actually play the instruments at times during his concerts, as that is what I'd be interested in. After all he's a formidable multi instrumentalist and quite possibly one of the greatest gifts to the jazz world for some time. Personally, I'd like to see him play (keyboards and occasionally bass), with great guitarists and bass players with legendary drummers. One day perhaps. 🤔🤞
I have just travelled halfway around the world to see Dimash. My next trip (when I save up) , is to see my beloved autodidact iconoclastic , genius prince. The world is a richer place, because of these titans.
Two thoughts: If only Hitler had been musical, instead of insanely maniacal, he could have maybe satisfied his need to control in this way. And thank goodness, Jacob seems to not have a political thought or military bone in his body! Cause this is nigh unto mesmerism!

And thanks for recording this by the way.. my phone had died and I wished I could have saved that memory to look back on and now I can haha

I only just now found this, but being on the front row of this concert was one of the best experiences of my life.
I was there that night. What an amazing show - especially the crowd-choir part 😍
Thank you for posting this!

I got chills just watching this amazing man and audience 😍
Thank you so much for posting this. It made me a bit disappointed that he never posted anything about the concert so I’m elated to see this.

I was there. It was like going to see some songs and instead you got to see Superman fly in person.
I was blown away. What a spectacle of prodigious musical expertise
yOU'RE So lucky to be there, I wish I was....
Amazing to hear what he and the audience created together. Sad I didn't get to see this tour.
Over the moon that he's bringing back early songs!!
He is such a blessing to this weird world. Such a talented beautiful soul.

Jacob and his multi-coloured patch shirt.
I love him so much
@@DylanJayce Well he has certainly made music a more audience participation spectacular!

Sista Girl U Go!!! Gots To Be Ready!!! I-Love It & U!!!!!☮️🕉
I should have been at this. Smdh. I have to see Jacob. Might have go over seas...
I love Jacob. This remind me of Bobby mcferrin and how he plays the croud
imagine if he did a voice solo using the audience as chords, it would be amazing
BRUH HE WAS IN GEORGIA?! I MISSED THIS NOOOOO 😭😭
he is playing "audience" so perfectly...
Nice harmony! (Whoever was singing behind or near the camera)
That was me LOL
Thank you I thought JC would appreciate :P
The "HA!" Side got the short end of the stick it seems
LOL! He was playing games
this audience doesnt need quantizing
Love It!!🤣🤣🤣
Agreed :D
Legend has it that Itachi got Jacob under a genjutsu just before he got back on stage and got him to do a tribute to the Uchiha clan at 12:46.
23:52 beautiful
How'd they get the lighting to do that with his conducting??
They had a live light FX engineer doing that
JC compositions and musicians are much so like Frank Zappa. Just sensational talent. 🙏🏻
Also Take - 6

Is it me or is this way fast?
22yo and own the public! Frank Zappa! Reborn!
He is playing the croud as if they were a musical instrument
Nope
For sure
