The Samurai Anthony J Bryant Angus McBride Osprey Military Elite Series Book Review

The Samurai is a book in the Osprey Military Elite Series. It was written by Anthony J Bryant and Angus McBride. When this book, which covers the samurai over their 'entire eras', became popular, Osprey then began creating additional books such as 'Samurai Armies 1550 to 1615' to capitalize on that interest. This book here is sort of a base-level book covering the full swath of information.
The book is primarily in black and white with just a few color plates. At the time of its release it was wonderful - there just weren't many books available on this topic. Nowadays, there are many more options, and many modern books have much better quality photos and drawings. Still, I like having this in my collection.
