Honestly if they keep throwing this much effort into monsters, I'd love to see more of them. Like all the Titans from KOTM didn't get much screen time, but would make great toys.
Great review and awesome figure. I definitely don't mind the small fry enemies being made into figures but I do wish they included some accessories. Still hiya keeps knocking it out of the park with the kaiju
The side monsters in figure form are welcomed so that battle scenes can be replicated versus main monsters just being posed alone all the time. Additionally, there is potential for so many cool monster designs, in which the skull crawler is one of those designs; fans of monsters and creatures in general will appreciate the side monster figures, as there are not many articulated options for monster figures or creatures in general. Super hero figures are the most abundant type of figure available, and while I do like a few heroes and have their figures, I prefer to not have them be a centric theme in my collection; however, these side monsters and the dinosaur figures from creative beasts aid in catering more to centric themes that I want displayed with more prominence. I guess it just gives more substance for niche collectors.
I do like collecting these kind of figures but just wish that some of the Hiya monsters weren’t $50… stuff like Mothra Rodan and this guy should at least be a few bucks cheaper since they are smaller and stuff like Godzilla and Kong can be the baseline 50 and bigger obviously more expensive
Really enjoying this batch of more unusual reviews :). I love the detail on the inside of the mouth, looks really striking with the mouth open; and this looks like one of the best bendy wire tails I’ve seen
Thanks for the review. I'm pretty much in for any kaiju so long as they're not the same creature. It's like collecting Pokemon. By comparison, one big downside of NECA's Godzilla line for me was - regardless of it being their fault or not - it was just more versions of Godzilla 99% of the time. Only practical option for me when it comes to collecting the lesser named kaiju is to buy bootleg Movie Monster series, which sucks because I have to put extra work to repaint them; and the official releases are off the table for being overpriced garbage. If Hiya reads these comments, then keep up the good work. They seem to be nailing just the right amount of new figures and efficient retools.
These would make great diorama pieces for Mythic Legions as pets for the Vampires? And given they are all ball joints, would it be possible to combine 2 to make 1 creature with 4 arms / limbs?
There's a lot of cool Kaiju designs that were never seen on screen from the Monsterverse, especially from the comics side stuff, like MUTO Prime and Tiamat Would it be cool if we got more of those obscure designs? Yes! Will we get them? Probably not, mainline movie designs will take priority (like nobody will be surprised if they did the upcoming antagonists from GxK) HIYA has been super solid so far in terms of price/what you get (though I think a few figs could have $5 shaved off their MSRP like this one/Mothra/Rodan)
I think the blurb under the logo is a mistake that was unintentionally copy pasted, like instructions to only use the logo with images of the movie or something
While lack of accessories is a pain, when the price is only $50 compared to $90-140 from SHMA whom also usually have bo acessories, I'm more than willing to accept it
This thing looks cool and like it’d be fun to play with but the design of it creeps me out because I can’t imagine a creature like that being able to move around very well.
Hot Take: Hiya is quickly becoming better than SH MonsterArts. Neither give you too many accessories (or non) but one comes in at a super premium price and tend to be turd buckets and one comes in at around 50 and gives you a more solid figure (still not. Castries tho…For some.) So.. yeah.
Hiya is killing me, come on dudes give us the 1/12 stuff you have in the pipeline like the Robocop and Rambo, I want to see if their 1/12th can match the quality of their 1/18th scale stuff.
I was somewhat tempted by this one because I think it would be pretty decent in the background of a fantasy display just as some random monster or demonic creature, but it's too expensive to get multiples off, and it's not really that outstanding to just have one of it. if I ever get this on a big discount and can get two or three of them then I would definitely get some
for $50 +shipping they coulda thrown in some accessories like a couple of the smaller skullcrawlers or that huge boat propeller Kong fought with
The extended tongue would have been cool accessory.
I was honestly hoping for some accessories

Never been a better time than now to be a fan of Godzilla! Figure looked awesome, and a fun review!

The fodder that gets beat up”
You just pissed me off

Kong: skull Island is my favorite solo King Kong film. I’m definitely excited for this figure and inevitable Number 10 red backed repaint

Didn’t realize I needed something so bad. He looks amazing! Great review!
I was pretty excited for this one. I'm not always into the side characters, but this is a solid design they came up with for the movie.

could do some pretty cool stop motion with that
I’m not a collector of kong or the other big ones but extras like these are great
Awesome video Anthony and yeah that looks really cool😮

I suspect so
Berserk/Zelda fodder monsters are always wanted for playing with toys
Bro why are you here if you don't like the character 💀
@@thelastfeelbender I love the design and I support Anthony however I can.
They should rename you the last illiterate bender lol jk all love
huh! this is basically a Dodongo from zelda! 🤔 might get one eventually and pose it with my Link
Good idea

Do you have any plans of reviewing any of Boss Fight Studio’s products?
Not at this time. Sorry
Quite fine.

These Hiya monster toys are pretty cool, I am personally not into figures like these.
Super dope

Do you guys see a dinosaur with big arms and no legs, or a dinosaur with no arms and regular leg?
Yes
I might but it if it had better tail joints :(
Oh yeah the second wave of Jada toys street fighter is out btw

@@AnthonysCustoms the figures look horrible if I’m being honest, and the articulation is poor
