Grateful we watched this from sunny Baja this evening haha! Love you, loved the northern lights but seeing your LONGING for the sunshine made me so happy I wasn’t there hahah😅!! Kara had us both LOL-ing with the Fro performance 👏🏻
You get used to less sunlight, though the general weather makes a huge difference as to how it feels: Above freezing and rainy = dismal Below freezing, clear day and snow on the ground = fantastic Actually even if the day isn't clear but it's snowy it's pretty nice. The biggest difference is if there's no snow, then everything is super gloomy and it feels like all the light disappears, and it's just wet all the time (even the smallest amount of moisture just refuses to evaporate). That's why being far enough up north is actually better than too far down south: more beautiful and light-filled scenery thanks to the snow. I remember once just normally having been living in darkness during the winter, and then suddenly while driving I saw the sun shining. It was only then that I realised how big a difference that thing makes, and only then did I realise how long it had been: due to not being outside during the few hours of possible sunlight and above all due to the fully cloudy&snowy weather covering it when there could've been sun I hadn't seen the sun for over 3 weeks! It felt really strange to be so bewildered by simply seeing the sun. Sunny southern places are really nice too (I live in such a place now), but people who don't get to live in the absolutely silent, acoustically soft, magical glittering world of snowy winter are also missing out on something! There's nothing like being alone in the forest (or just going out for a walk) at night in really cold snowy winter, and also sitting comfortably at home by the fire afterwards looking out into the magical winter scenery. Oh, and driving on snowy, empty country roads is absolutely the best!
This video reminded me how in love Kara and Nate are. Its not like I forget that they’re married, but idk something about this video really shows how much fun they have together. They are such a great team. Just another way they inspire me lol
I know y'all know this already - but traveling with a tiny roll of tape is such a great travel hack. To cover up annoying lights, keep drapes in place, and stick rattly overhead panels that are annoying and loud like Nate mentioned. Thanks for always taking us with you and so glad you got to finally see the Northern Lights!
Nate & Kara are seriously relationship goals. The way Nate always brings Kara coffee in the morning even on a cold train warms my heart. And such a sweet moment when Kara said she would miss Nate in the train bed. 🤍
I wonder if the poor artist who created Frö is ever going to recover from this?! 🤭 As a Canadian living in Australia, I've been absolutely loving all of the snowy Norway content! We're planning on going there and hopefully up to Svalbard in autumn, so this has been so inspiring. Your content just gets better and better...a big thank you to you both. 😊❤
😅 I was thinking the same. But oh my dear what an underwhelming room... Could have done much more to show the intent. Maybe ran out of time or lost an artist friend along the process?
This episode felt different. It felt like the curtain was down, especially for Kara, and I feel like we saw more of your personality! It felt like less of a showcase and more of a day in your life. Love it!
As a Sweden I must say, unless you are going skiing or visiting an icehotel, Sweden really should be seen during summer. Long warm summer nights and beautiful green nature, also Stockholm is most beautiful during summer 👍
Or seeing the Northern lights or a few other winter activities but I feel like the Northern lights is the main reason to travel to Sweden or Norway or Finland I'm the winter
As Iraq I agree: all of the people in my country plan to arrive to live in homes you build for us and live on the money you make for us, and in summer the women wear very little clothing...
@@pistonburner6448 Troll, you are without doubt one of those lonely right wing extremists who hates your own beautiful country Sweden more than anything.
Karas pronounciation of Kiruna was very good. Very close to how a native swede would say it. All over Karas swedish seems pretty good and the pronounciations of the buttons are super! Useless/full info to follow: Toiletpaper in sweden (and maybee everywhere) dissolves in water. Paper napkins/towels do not. It is two different kinds of paper. Flushing paper towels will clog the system. Translations of the buttons: Väckning= Wake up. Samtal önskas med = Request to speak (to) Kvittering = Check (like personel turning of the button) Tågpersonal = train personel. The radio buttons represent Swedish national radio channel 1-3 and channel 2 is dedicated to classical music. There is also channel 4 but that is dedicated to local radio stations and frequencies shift depending on where you are. Toiletpaper in sweden (and maybee everywhere) dissolves in water. Paper napkins/towels do not. It is two different kinds of paper. Flushing paper towels will clog the system. The sled thingie is called kicksled in english but simply "kick" in swedish since you propell it with a kicking motion. The older swedish term for it woult be "sparkstötting" which combines the words for kick/spark and sled/stötting, stötting being a specific kind of horse sled.
As an Indigenous person from Canada, I’d like to give a little background about the Northern lights. The lights are ‘spirits of the ancestors celebrating life, reminding us that we are all of creation’. Very beautiful
Thats one belief...for your culture. Not everyone buys into ideals. Especially if something is experienced in more than 1 country/region. So dont limit natures beauty to cultural beliefs. Science says something completely different.
I remember that from the movie Brother Bear. The Sámi people have roughly the same view, according to old folk tales, the aurora borealis are the souls of the dead wandering in the sky, or even gods. On the other hand, in Finnish, the word "Revontulet" refers to the old belief that the Fire Fox running on the fells causes the Northern Lights by throwing sparks into the northern sky with its tail.
Typical great Kara and Nate content! Quality video and audio, cool places (NPI),Kara-isms (have to make a list of them!), truth, beauty (Northern Lights!), self-deprecating humor and honesty. No wonder these folks are so loved!
I do love that for any other RUclipsr this would have been three videos - train, ice hotel, and Northern Lights. But you all give us all the best stuff in one. The best!
Hahaha Kara is on fire 😆 I’m so happy you finally check out the Norway and Sweden thoroughly! Last time in Sweden was very short. I’m two months behind, but when you’re here I had to check the episode! However I do feel a bit ashamed for SJ night trains. They get the job done, not much more. These are supposed to be the backbone in the green movement, competing with flights under 2h. They need to step up the game without getting pricier which is hard. If you get the chance, go with “Snälltåget” instead of SJ, they have these 60 years old wagons with feeling and better restaurant. Unfortunately it to kiruna. Also “blå tåget” between Stockholm and gothburg is nice with proper dining cars and own coupes based on the same 60 year old wagons. Will be exciting to see what you’re up to next, good luck :)
I just wanted to say that I love how much the two of you have grown in your travels! I'm a long-time viewer, and I remember the two of you not liking the cold in the beginning, preferring staying in warmer climates. I love all of this cold weather content!
Oddly enough, I watched a doco (here in Australia) only a couple of weeks ago, on the making of this hotel. You just don’t realise the amount of work that goes into the actual building of the hotel, lighting installation etc., let alone the sculpting art for each room. The artists were given a ridiculously short time of a only a few days (can’t remember the exact number) to do their work on the bedrooms. Fascinating stuff. Hopefully this icy night was better value for money than the last one under the glacier. Both such different experiences for you both. Thanks for another great vid.
Kara😂, your lip-synching to the Fro description had me laughing so hard🤣 The ice hotel was so awesome and so interesting that they have different artists for the rooms!! I love that y’all have been doing the bloopers at the end again👍🏼 And watching you guys just take in the sunshine on your skin makes me appreciate the sun so much, I can’t imagine not having it for days on end☀️ Happy trails🛤 Stay you✌🏼
It's fun how things have changed since I slept on the Ice Hotel in one of the simple rooms more than 10 years ago.. Back in the day, people stripped down to their thermals and ran from the warm reception area, outdoors, back inside in the ice hotel and to the rooms. The same way back to the changing room in the morning. The experience is the best! I love and miss 🇸🇪...
Yay! Hey Kara and Nate! Man I just love y'all. Your videos really are amazing! You two have just been incredible to follow along with. The way y'all capture us(the audience😄) is just simply amazing. You somehow always find a way to make each video just as special if not more than the last. I feel like we're family and you're just sending me life updates!🤗🥰 I can't wait to see what's ahead. Lots of Love from NC🤗💜✌🏼
Okay. The Kara “Strip VPN” commercial was freakin’ hilarious! I’ve followed you guys for years and I think that was probably one of the funniest, most unexpected, out of left field, silly things you have ever done on this channel. One of the things that’s nice about you two is that, while you are both attractive people, you don’t do the forced trying to be sexy YT influencer thing. That’s part of what made it so funny! Good Job!
We LOVED this one! (And boy does it make us appreciate living in Thailand - Kara we’ve never related more to you than right now! ❄️) We completely forgot this was even a train video - there’s so much good stuff in there! And also - totally perplexed at how you stayed so warm at the ice hotel. How thick were the sleeping bags?!
Love Karas pronunciation on the Swedish words, especially "Frö" 😁 very good and almost indigenous 😉 Thanks for a beautiful video on a undoubtedly beautiful part of Sweden 😍 And of course on the stunning sceneries of Norway 🏔️👌🏻 Last but not least, to follow you around as a travel couple, so amusing and cozy ☺️
Great vlog, so pleased you both got to see the Aurora, it's amazing. Kara had a blast at the Ice Hotel she had me in stitches showing us your room. The vlog brought back memories of when my husband and I stayed at the ice hotel quite a few years ago, so thank you x
Thank you for this fun, beautiful look at winter in Scandinavia. You tempt me to go back to Stockholm in winter, just to take that train, see the Aurora Borealis, sleep in the ice hotel, swim with the orcas…but I’m just not a winter tourist (don’t like being too cold!). So you took one for the team, and I’m wicked grateful. :-) (I truly love your videos.)
How can your videos be so perfect...shooting, editing, jouneys etc. I mean the only improvement I would want is me having an even bigger screen to watch these. I wish I could travel with you two🥺
A selkie room!! That was one of my favorite myths as a kid!! "A selkie is a marine legend that tells of people who are half fish, and half-human. In the water, they are seals, but on land, they shed their skin and take on human form".
two of my favorite travel youtubers both release a video about the artic circle train during the same weekend! love to see it! Especially as a swede seeing you all enjoy "mine" and the neighbouring countries
Thank you for sharing your frozen adventures. It is so beautiful to look at, but I'm happy to just watch you guys and stay warm where we are! I dont like the cold, but California has been getting slammed with snow storms! BYW, my husband is Finnish from Finland, and he said that the Sweds stole that ice hotel idea from Finland! Lol ... a proud Finn!
Lol, Jukkasjärvi ice hotel in the video opened in 1989 and was the first one in the world. All the others are inspired by this one. The one in Finland opened in 2007. They also have a "snow castle" in Kemi that opened in 1996.
Thoroughly enjoyed Kira’s interpretation of your original ice room 😂 The serenity & calm on Nate’s face as he was basking in the sun gave way that everything was going to be okay 🌟 Sending Aloha from Kauai 🌴
Hi Kara and Nate happy 2024. It has been a privilege to follow you through all these years and thank you for letting us know to “travel” with you. I will speak for myself to say that sometimes one video a week is difficult to keep up with, so three a week is a nice amount since if we get delayed in watching is easier to catch up. Also you have so many amazing videos that will be nice to catch up again in that “space” you created. I am fortunate to travel quite a bit, and find it difficult to keep up with instagram stories so do not know how you manage to produce such amazing videos consistently and have not yet passed out so I would say a small break is long overdue, so enjoy it.❤
Wishing you would have shown more of the Ice Hotel and all the activities....dog sledding, riding Icelandic ponies through countryside, different excursions learning Sami culture, the 365 hotel rooms, the countryside by snowmobile. Real shame that was all missed. It is all a wonderful experience no one got to see. But at least it was a glimpse.
This was great. I've always been curious about the ice hotel and happy for you two that you got upgraded to a more interesting room. So thrilled that you got to enjoy the magical northern lights. It's astonishing what our beautiful planet has to offer. Hope you are having a fabulous week and I look forward to traveling with you next week ! 🤗 Ellen from Connecticut.
I really need this video right now. With all the hard challenges I'm going through with my personal life, I feel a sense of relief and happy place just watching your videos! Thank you Kara and Nate for what you do!
@@aaronpatterson2369 I agree, but maybe the OP doesn't have enough time, and sometimes when you're unhappy it can be challenging to motivate yourself to do anything. Some days their videos are the only part of my day that has me in a good mood

Kara is funny destroying it in Svenska!! NORSK TOO! It still sounds American pronunciation. I have traveled that same route via train. Best time for Ice Hotel is Winter, but otherwise travel in June for Midnight Sun daylight! The Midsummer- Summer Solstice has many celebrations throughout all of Scandinavia. So great you came to you destination of Stockholm (I'd eloped and lived many years Stockholm 🇸🇪). Posted from USA ❄💙☃️💙❄
I'm so happy to see you guys loving Norway, as a Norwegian I have yet to venture up beyond the artic circle and see the northern lights but it excites me so much to see you guys exploring it! Been watching for ages and I remember watching your video from Oslo when it came out!
You don't need to get above the arctic circle to experience it fully :) You just need to be outside a LOT during winter and have some luck I guess. I've seen it as far south as Telemark
The sledge Nate found is called a "spark" in Norwegian. It is common to use if one or two people needs to go from A to B on a snowy winter day. Spark = kick. So to move the "spark" you need to "sparke" (kick) with your foot. Fun to see your trip to Svalbard, Tromsø, Narvik🇧🇻- Stockholm.🇸🇪
Kara and Nate you are so much fun to watch!! I would definitely take that train in the wintertime. Kara one of these days someone is going to be on the other side of the door that you are trying to break into!!😅I am a faithful daily reader of Daily Drop-it is the best resource for travelers!!🤩
Hi guys 🙂 To a Swedish person this ice ❄hotel isn't something special 😴but people especially coming from warmer country's often thinks it's very exciting 😬
You have such a nice dynamics 😊 We were supposed to travel to Lapland but the travel got cancelled and now we have to come up something else for our next reportage
Last time I took the train from Kiruna to Stockholm something had happened so they had replaced the usual train with a train from the 60s and it hadn't been stocked, so there was no food - dinner was a packed of crisps, some candy and a soda. We were not very happy when we arrived in Stockholm, but we did get some money back. Recommended things to try if you do this trip: - Riksgränsen. A Swedish ski resort on the Norwegian border than is open until midsummer each year and has skiing under the midnight sun in June. - Björkliden/Abisko national park. Both a ski resort and a national park. The park has dog-sleighs in winter. (And probably lots more that I haven't tried) - There are lots of hiking trails and it is beautiful in summer.
What a fantastic and hilarious video! You guys are killing me! By the way... the rumbling at 24:15 sounds _JUST_ like a cat purring. I can't think of better white noise for sleeping than that! 🥰😺
Your winter is making me cold! lol….I’ll be glad for your spring/summer adventures! Hope y’all get back to vanlife! I have LOVED that!! 😊 Actually ANY Kara & Nate adventures are FABULOUS!!
Kara, you are hilarious! I have watched every video, and adore you both. I lost my daughter 7 years ago and you remind me so much of her. 💞 We now travel the world with our 13-year-old grandson. Thank you both for all the inspiration!
Great to see that you had a good time in my home country of Sweden! Next time, come in summer to experience the incredible mountains, lakes and the midnight sun :D
My journey following you around the world is soon complete. Oh. Don't worry. I will NOT stop following you. It's just that when I first pressed the sub button 7 years ago, you had left Japan and now you will soon be there again. So the circle is complete. I have, together with both my Norwegian family at that time and friends, done this Norway adventure that you did - Svalbard, northern Norway (Nordkap/Kirkenes). Summer and winter. So beautiful up there.. The only thing you did that I haven't done was the ice hotel (ok, that's Sweden 😉), because there was no hotel like that in late 70s and early 80s. But I will try to get there with my Thai family in the future.
Seeing Lady A is always a treat. Makes me feel incredibly grateful to be able to live somewhere I can see the lights from right outside my window! Glad y’all were able to catch them before you left.
Yaay! I'm glad you finally saw the Northern Lights! I was hoping you saw them on Svalbard, but I guess not. Haha - your room in the ice hotel. Some of the rooms were amazing - thank you so much for showing us this frozen hotel/artwork! And, the hotel room at the end..."it's not frozen and it doesn't move". LOL! I hear ya.
hiii guys! Just wanted to let you know that "jipped" (1:08 and 9:45) comes from the word "gypsy" referring to the Roma people and is considered an ethnic slur. Better to say something like "short changed".
@@BilldalSWEthose are all different ethnic groups, sure, but they are all ethnic groups. I feel like that makes it more offensive as "Gypsy" erroneously names them all. I'm not sure what you're arguing here but either way the word refers pejoratively to a group of people. The word itself isn't always a slur but in this case it is.
I live in Kiruna and I would've LOVED to give you guys a tour around the area!!! I'm glad that you liked Icehotel and I definetly recommend coming back during the summer to see the midnight sun and amazing places you can hike to. My offer will still stand if you ever come back 😊
I was surprised to hear Kara’s use of an ethnic slur at 1:10. “Gypsy” is a slur commonly used to describe the Romani people. Using the term “gypped” to refer to being ripped off is making a harsh judgment against an entire ethnic group. Even when we aren’t familiar with the word’s origin, we are still perpetuating their mistreatment when we use it. Please, everyone, kindly educate yourselves and stop using this slur.
Yes, that’s why I tried explaining instead of condemning. I hope they don’t have any Romani viewers who would be hurt by this, but it case they do, those viewers will know they have allies and don’t have to be burdened by explaining this themselves.
thanks for mentioning this! i was scrolling through the comments to see if anyone else noticed- i love them and their videos and i’m glad you called it out in a way that educated :)
Saying Hej 👋🏻 from Sweden 🥹🇸🇪 hope you liked the travel here! But yes it’s way more beautiful riding the train in the summer because we have sunlight way into the night and early morning so you can enjoy the views even if you take the night train ☺️ in the winter months we don’t have any sunlight!
You both are such incredible people. Thanks for all your videos! I had a long day, and this is exactly what i need to relax. Your content brings joy to my life, so one agian thank you 😊
Kara, when you got to the chapel in the ice hotel, and pretended you were in your wedding, the first thing that flashed through my mind was the wedding scene in "The Princess Bride", where the priest/pastor/whatever said, "Mawwiage! What is wuv?", and started laughing. Thanks for taking us outside to see the Northern Lights, which is something I have yet to see--at 76.
Can we all appreciate that they even made what they called "the least exciting part of the journey" really fun and interesting to watch. Love you guys!
So fun! I'm from outside Stockholm and I've been binge watching your videos the last few weeks and It feels so crazy that you guys were just here! You bring me so much joy and excitement for life and the world! All my love from another lover of flying!
Thanks Nate & kara, really enjoyed this inspiring train ride, something I will do one day in summer... Trains are great .... love your vibes and travels... 🍿🚆 from sunny cape town...
The Northern Lights are on my bucket list! My sister and I have been watching your videos since your 40th country :) We've been to six continents together, we grew up following our parents on assignment (we're 20 and 16, working all the time and using the Daily Drop and our miles to travel!) You guys have been such an inspiration in our own adventures. Your content is incredible and quite literally has changed my life. Every break I get, I'm backpacking. All the love - you two rock!!! (Also, we think of you as Mom and Dad so like... LOVE YOU!!!)
As Minnesotans, we would probably be unlikely to travel to Norway in the winter (though we definitely love it during shoulder seasons!). We have enough snow and cold here. 😂 Trains are such a great way to get around!!
I CANNOT WAIT to start international travel!! I’m building out a van to travel the US but international travel is a huge goal!! I’ve been getting more and more interested in train trips as well!! Awesome video!!
My wife and I have been watching you guys for a year or so, and we don’t think your relationship has ever looked more beautiful than this video!!! Keep having fun!
I love your channel and the both of you are just adorable but I do have to mention that Kara’s voice is just so relaxing it just feels like whatever she says is like a soft lullaby. She would dominate story telling. 🤷🏻♂️🙂👍💯
You guys talked about going to Japan. Soooooo looking forward to those videos. With all the crazy shit happening now all these really great travel videos a group of you are all doing in different places at the same time and posting them is the best thing ever! Thank you. :) I hope when you are in Japan you catch at least one village of people off the beaten track who are re-establishing traditional Japanese culture. There are a million ways to go with this, choose one. Love you guys. Hope Kara has gotten some sleep. Take care. :)
I reckon Nate pronounced “museum” correctly, but I’m from Australia🇦🇺, so we probably say it differently to Americans, so Nate, you must be part Aussie 😋. Have loved these vlogs of late, my dream is to go to Norway and see the northern lights, but it’s a fair way from Melbourne🇦🇺, so I might be saving for a while. Love you guys 💜💜💜
I expect to get push back for sharing as many folks aren’t fond of word policing, but I also believe that change only happens once we can learn harm or impact from what we say. @kara please take a moment to google the etymology of the usage of gyp to mean cheat - you might then decide to choose an alternate word or phrase moving forward. Side note, the tongue stuck to flagpole scene was filmed at my primary school in St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada. My grade two self was so tickled to learn the special FX tricks used (and to know there wasn’t even a flag pole in that part of the yard. I am an extra in that outdoor scene - can see me running past when the bell rings.
another great video! fun fact, about the seal-women room. Selkies are from Celtic and Norse mythology, the seal takes women's form and joins man on land, and starts a family but it is always called back to the sea!

No wonder you have so many subscribers Kara & Nate the videography is amazing & professional plus you have a very special relationship! Thanks for sharing the Ice Hotel & train trip! 🥶😍🌞🇦🇺
I love your videos! Heads up; the word “Gypped” is derogatory towards Romani people. Gypped is used as a term to describe when one has received less than they paid for. Most people do not realize it's a racist term that stems from nomadic 'gypsies' ...
This has been such a fun series. Thanks for taking us along. I love how y'all, kingingit and downie live are all there at the same time! It's so beautiful up there

Have you been to Nunavut?
The lights were definitely worth going out for! Kara trying to “break in” to someone else’s room is fabulous!

The sled thingie is called kicksled in english but simply "kick" in swedish since you propell it with a kicking motion.
The older swedish term for it woult be "sparkstötting" which combines the words for kick/spark and sled/stötting, stötting being a specific kind of horse sled.
So awesome to see you guys traveling through our homeland❤🇸🇪 Next time we'll show you around (during Midsummer)😉
@@aaronpatterson2369 Didn't realize someone sharing something from their culture meant they were trying to say that's the only thing to believe 🙄
Well said! I totally agree!🤗🌟❄
I must agree❤❤❤
Awwwwww 🥰❤️🙏🏻
Kara is so funny without even trying!! Her energy radiates 😌
I do love that for any other RUclipsr this would have been three videos - train, ice hotel, and Northern Lights. But you all give us all the best stuff in one. The best!
Hahaha Kara is on fire 😆
I’m so happy you finally check out the Norway and Sweden thoroughly!
I remember them not being comfortable on camera.
Thanks for another great vid.
hey guys! fun to see you visiting Sweden! 🇸🇪 Greetings from Stockholm! 😀👋
Hej
Kara😂, your lip-synching to the Fro description had me laughing so hard🤣 The ice hotel was so awesome and so interesting that they have different artists for the rooms!! I love that y’all have been doing the bloopers at the end again👍🏼 And watching you guys just take in the sunshine on your skin makes me appreciate the sun so much, I can’t imagine not having it for days on end☀️ Happy trails🛤
Stay you✌🏼
It’s nice as a long time viewer to see you guys doing things not super expensive or unattainable for most folk again. ❤
even as a longtime viewer I love their boujee trips. Something I will probably not get to experience, only through them
Even though expensive thing are good to watch it is very nice to see them do something affordable.😀😀😀😀😀
It's still expensive
It's fun how things have changed since I slept on the Ice Hotel in one of the simple rooms more than 10 years ago.. Back in the day, people stripped down to their thermals and ran from the warm reception area, outdoors, back inside in the ice hotel and to the rooms. The same way back to the changing room in the morning. The experience is the best! I love and miss 🇸🇪...
Haha that’d be much more intense! Kinda fun idea!
Love Karas pronunciation on the Swedish words, especially "Frö" 😁 very good and almost indigenous 😉 Thanks for a beautiful video on a undoubtedly beautiful part of Sweden 😍 And of course on the stunning sceneries of Norway 🏔️👌🏻
Last but not least, to follow you around as a travel couple, so amusing and cozy ☺️
Great vlog, so pleased you both got to see the Aurora, it's amazing. Kara had a blast at the Ice Hotel she had me in stitches showing us your room. The vlog brought back memories of when my husband and I stayed at the ice hotel quite a few years ago, so thank you x
We LOVE The Daily Drop!!! And this video was so much fun! Thanks guys!~Cara😊
Thoroughly enjoyed Kira’s interpretation of your original ice room 😂 The serenity & calm on Nate’s face as he was basking in the sun gave way that everything was going to be okay 🌟
Sending Aloha from Kauai 🌴
Yeah I defenetly would urge them to stay longer at every place they travel!
Lol icelandic ponies is in island, not sweden.
@millan11697 dearest, I rode them while in Kiruna. Just cuz they are from someplace else doesn't mean they can't be elsewhere
Thank you Ellen! ❤️🌎😁
I really need this video right now. With all the hard challenges I'm going through with my personal life, I feel a sense of relief and happy place just watching your videos! Thank you Kara and Nate for what you do!
Hang in there Sriram ❤️🙏🏻
Maybe spend less time online and more time OUTSIDE! In Nature..
@@aaronpatterson2369 I agree, but maybe the OP doesn't have enough time, and sometimes when you're unhappy it can be challenging to motivate yourself to do anything. Some days their videos are the only part of my day that has me in a good mood
Won't be long, they will upload again soon,) have a kara and nate binge on old ones

You don't need to get above the arctic circle to experience it fully :)
You just need to be outside a LOT during winter and have some luck I guess.
Kara and Nate videos NEVER DISAPPOINT!! ♥️
Cute how Nate “seat belted” Kara into bed! lol
💛💛💛
Kara and Nate you are so much fun to watch!! I would definitely take that train in the wintertime. Kara one of these days someone is going to be on the other side of the door that you are trying to break into!!😅I am a faithful daily reader of Daily Drop-it is the best resource for travelers!!🤩
My favourite part was Kara knocking on the bottom on Nate’s bunk on the train before they even went to bed and she said “Where’s my coffee?”
Hi guys 🙂
To a Swedish person this ice ❄hotel isn't something special 😴but people especially coming from warmer country's often thinks it's very exciting 😬
You have such a nice dynamics 😊 We were supposed to travel to Lapland but the travel got cancelled and now we have to come up something else for our next reportage
Here in Finland there are many stories to tell!
Yes!! 💪🏻
Just book it again and go
Last time I took the train from Kiruna to Stockholm something had happened so they had replaced the usual train with a train from the 60s and it hadn't been stocked, so there was no food - dinner was a packed of crisps, some candy and a soda. We were not very happy when we arrived in Stockholm, but we did get some money back.
Recommended things to try if you do this trip:
- Riksgränsen. A Swedish ski resort on the Norwegian border than is open until midsummer each year and has skiing under the midnight sun in June.
- Björkliden/Abisko national park. Both a ski resort and a national park. The park has dog-sleighs in winter. (And probably lots more that I haven't tried)
- There are lots of hiking trails and it is beautiful in summer.
What a fantastic and hilarious video! You guys are killing me! By the way... the rumbling at 24:15 sounds _JUST_ like a cat purring. I can't think of better white noise for sleeping than that! 🥰😺
OMG IT DOES😻😻😻
@@KaraandNate I know, right? I'm so glad you guys included it in the video. It makes me so happy! 😊
7:17 The way Kara said that was so funny 😂 8:54 It kinda looks like a hoof rather than a seed.
Whoever’s idea is what to make Kara take an article of clothing off with VPN is hilarious and had me in stitches😁😂🤣
Your winter is making me cold! lol….I’ll be glad for your spring/summer adventures! Hope y’all get back to vanlife! I have LOVED that!! 😊
Actually ANY Kara & Nate adventures are FABULOUS!!
Kara, you are hilarious! I have watched every video, and adore you both. I lost my daughter 7 years ago and you remind me so much of her. 💞 We now travel the world with our 13-year-old grandson. Thank you both for all the inspiration!
Oh..those northern lights were amazing! A once in a lifetime show for most of us..have fun ☃️
I'm so happy you two got to see the northern lights. That was amazing. And the sun, like wow. Charging indeed 😁
Seeing Lady A is always a treat. Makes me feel incredibly grateful to be able to live somewhere I can see the lights from right outside my window! Glad y’all were able to catch them before you left.
17:57 What the heck 😂😂😂
"Gypsy" isn't an ethic group though. It could refer to either Romani, Pavee (Irish Travellers) or New Age travellers,
@@BilldalSWEthose are all different ethnic groups, sure, but they are all ethnic groups.
Most don't realize it's a slur.
Yes, that’s why I tried explaining instead of condemning. I hope they don’t have any Romani viewers who would be hurt by this, but it case they do, those viewers will know they have allies and don’t have to be burdened by explaining this themselves.
Thank you for explaining. I don't say that, but I will tell others
@@NoitsBecky. ❤ Thank you!
thanks for mentioning this! i was scrolling through the comments to see if anyone else noticed- i love them and their videos and i’m glad you called it out in a way that educated :)
I laughed so hard when Kara said "there's only Frö" 😅 I love how y'all look at the bright side of things & have fun!
Stoked you guys are keeping the veggie vibe alive fro others to become veggie ;-) having been born a pure vegetarian , now mostly a vegan for 5 years. Trains are great .... love your vibes and travels... 🍿🚆 from sunny cape town...
We don’t appreciate just how goofy and relatable this couple is. You make me smile and laugh in every video, so much love ❤️
As someone who literally freaks out about walking around in the snow im admiring you guys ❤
You both inspire us with your love for traveling and exploring the world 🌎 Love y’all ❤️
I love your channel and the both of you are just adorable but I do have to mention that Kara’s voice is just so relaxing it just feels like whatever she says is like a soft lullaby.
Thank you. :)
I hope when you are in Japan you catch at least one village of people off the beaten track who are re-establishing traditional Japanese culture.
OMG japan is next!!!! I can't wait to see all the things. Been loving watching all your unique travels lately. Keep up the posting.
The little boy in the bloops was hilarious 😄
Very enjoyable vlog! Looking forward to your upcoming Japan adventures 🇯🇵⛩️
as swede that lives in Stockholm it is so cool to see you took your time and came all the way here when you guys have been to so many cool places and countries. hope you guys will have a nice time
That ice hotel was so cool! I am loving these cool-climate travel videos. It’s different from what I usually see.
Catching up with y’all while pulling an all nighter hand sewing a purse for my mom. It’s 4:30AM and my weary butt is so grateful for you two. You made me laugh so hard so many times during this! If any Moms are reading this today, thank you for being an effing legend! 🥰🙏🕊
I'm so envious that you seen the Aurora borealis the last night you were there!!✌🌨🌫🌬
It’s okay to acknowledge how harsh a bathroom is Kara lol we need the real experience 😂
Edit: also I can’t wait for Japan! It’s so crazy the whole journey began in Japan and I’ve been watching since the start so wild! I hope you guys have a great time! I’m sure you guys were still nervous af last time lol!
I'm half Norwegian and I really enjoyed the Norway scenery. And swimming with the orcas. Thank you! I also have seen a lot on "Kinging It".
This has been such a fun series. Thanks for taking us along. I love how y'all, kingingit and downie live are all there at the same time! It's so beautiful up there
@DontReadMyProfilePicture.7 ok
I just love you two! Your positivity rubs off. I liked Nate standing in the sun “charging”. I, too, am solar powered 😊
love you guys. I don't think you should be using the term "gypped" though
Kara, you are so darn adorable. Goodness gracious, you are. If we could just clone you, we could spread so much more happiness around the world. I truly adore the two of you, and am so happy for your happiness; and so grateful that you continue to share yourselves and your advetures with us all through these wonderful videos.
