When I'm looking at these cars I'm just imagining them back in the day. On the road, Driving families around town, going places. The comfort these cars gave people in their day, just imagining life in these cars back in the day. Beautiful times, America had shortly after world war II.
Me too, every one was once shiny and new, happily purchased, lovingly cared for, kids bouncing on the back seat - lives lived.
Thanks for sharing this video sir, it's good to see survivors in America today
Absolutely loved it. I have never seen so many 46-48’s together.
I admire the build quality of these older cars, the metal seems to hold up great for sitting out in the elements so long.
Love looking at these old cars History is in your mind and this is always refreshing for me to relive old memories.
Great group of cars right there!!!!!!!!!! 👍👍👍👍👍
Sweet video glad these being rescued .there still out there
The find of a lifetime for sure!!
Okay, Goodpliers, you've done it! The quality of your farm auction and old car rescue videos has reached a point where, when I see your thumbnail appear, I drop everything I'm doing to watch your video! Well done! Keep 'em coming!
It is awesome to see all of this collection lined up together like that. I used to have two 1948 Chevrolet cars when I was in college. I had the two door coupe version and one of the Fleetlines. When I got married, my ex made me sell them. I wish I had not had to. Sure wish I could afford one of these, but I can't. Thanks for sharing these amazing videos with us. I am looking forward to the next one when they are all being loaded up. I hope these all find some great homes and will get restored. Keep making your videos. I really love to watch them.
Thanks for stopping by the channel Owen! And thank you for your kind words! Your story is very similar to the man who owned these. He had two 1946 convertibles that his father sold when he went into the army in the early 50s
@@mr.goodpliers6988 Why do not you drop a link in the description box about that famous auction site? You could make it an affiliate link or whatever for yourself...
GREAT FREAKING VIDEO!!
Mr. Goodpliers, you found a gold mine.
I love those you find gold most times
Love those Aero sedans!
It's amazing all them cars still exist! All them look like real decent builders. Thanks for posting the video man it was really awesome 👍
It is amazing to still see private collections like this available in 2022. This reminds me of what you would find in the 1970s. For the 41-52 large group of cars it would be real enjoyable to own all these and not only part out some of the cars but also restore/modify the other better condition cars at the same time. You could make a lot of good cars with that large number of cars to work with. There were a lot of 1942 cars shown here. The last time there were this many 1942 Chevys together in one spot it had to be at a Chevy dealer in 1942. This is one of my favorite videos. It really makes you dream about the potential all these cars have. It always makes me wish I could be there in person to see this. The shed full of car parts would really be cool to go through. Thanks.
Same here with the 41 2 door coupe! Dad had it as a kid and we put a v8 in it and I drove it in high school.
Great Video Bro.. After seeing this, I love My 1947 Fleetmaster. Ive had it 22 days..
Seeing all these bring back lots of memories, since I'm old enough to remember when many of these cars were still on the road and rode in them when I was little, which they were very comfortable
Nice old iron all over , nice job !
WOW the survivors on the outro were awesome cars.
I love the aero-sedans and fastbacks! thank you and subbed.
Very cool!!
Thanks for sharing your thoughts and your experience like your video,s
Great that these cars were saved.
That prewar Oldsmobile is a Trojan style horse on the hood with the reins pulled back that makes horses head tilt down ! & my guess it was meant to show control of horsepower , & allot of those post war Chevrolet's should be a 2 for 1 to make a complete automobile , That was a nice field of dreams.
Those 40s Chevrolet Fleetline are my fav.🤩 Man, I wish I lived in the States.
I think I read that cars were cut in to pick ups to get more fuel rations during WW2 but it could have been the Korean war. Pick ups got more coupons tan cars.
You do a great job on these videos and sharing your knowledge. Thank you for taking the time to document these adventures.
Awesome thanks
The stories those cars could tell. Love the vast flat plains and blue sky's. Very evocative. Could imagine Jack Reacher striding up to Mr Goodpliers looking for the bad guys.👍😉
I wonder when we get to the year 2100 if someone will say "ooh look a 2022 Totota Camry, it should be restored!" :-)
i always watch your videos a lot of nice old cars there
EXCELLENT!! I HOPE THEY ALL GET SAVED!!
I can see that 2 door Chevy Hardtop as a Gasser.
The Fastback Fleetlines, awesome. 😎👍🇨🇦
I love Chevy Aerosedans as well as GM's other versions for each division. I only hope many of these will be restored as original. I see way to many rodded classics these days as compared to correct factory resto's. If I wanted a fast, well-handling, modern sound system car, I'd just get a newer one. People have to respect what these cars were at the time.
I'm screaming!!! I want one !!!!
Thanks for stopping by the channel! They are available. I have included Zack's contact in the video description box.
one of the coolest barn finds I've ever seen 😮
Whoever your friend is I fn love him!!!!!❤
That’s freaking amazing, and the 59 you have for sale that things a boat! Lol. I noticed those two big grain trucks, it would be so cool to have a truck like that for a work truck. Great videos!
Sweet golden goodness in one place keep up the good work love y'all shows keep up the great work
Thanks for stopping by the channel William. And thank you for your kind words!
Nice one mate! Thanks for sharing buddy!
Thank you. 👍👍
Excellent Collection
Great video.them are some really nice cars
Eu gosto muito de ver esses antigos ,bem antes do meu nascimento consigo fazer uma regressão no tempo e vivo esses maravilhosos momentos parabéns pelo belo vídeo obrigado de Maringá Paraná Brasil ..
I love them oldschool fastbacks. I'm from Poland and we had a lot of "Warszawa" [1951-64] cars in this particular body style. Warszawa was a licenced copy of the Russian Pobieda M20 and Russians styled their car in 1945-46 in line with the global trends that were in force at that time. In the 40-60s, the American automotive industry set the trends to which all constructors aspired. Even the Volga GAZ 24 of the 70's was designed to look like Ford Falcon. It is a pity that American producers have finally adopted the style from Europe and Japan. Cosmic shapes and plastic instead of chrome, woodgrain, luxury and "sofas".
Fascinating!
So sad that millionaires don't care about those pieces of car's history, for me the best era in shape and superb volumes... In all views : front, side, rear, bonnets, grilles, fenders, roofs, bumpers... Great design.
What a wonderful collection. I want to go there and spray them all with oil to stop them rusting away to nothing!!!
Very nice vídeo.
Reminds me of an old salvage yard that I had the experience of exploring in the early seventies,I counted 14 '47 and'48 Chevys as well as a lot of others such as a first era International Travelall from the fifties, several '53 and '54 Chevys including a '53 convertible and a '55 Ford Crown Victoria, sadly many years ago most of them were crushed, my dad had several Chevy coupes from the forties,a '41 '47 and '48
I love the rusted look of the cars, very promising
Those old cars are so sweet I used to have a 64 Plymouth push button automatic
Me too. Mine was a Valiant. Paid $131.00 $6.00 to have my friend pick it up. I didn’t have the means to pick it up! (1975)
Wow - can't believe that video was nearly 40 minutes long! Just flew by.
Great content, subscribed. Interesting stuff, thanks!
Thanks for stopping by the channel Dave! Farm auction season is just around the corner, so you never know what we will find next!
Here in Australia the 49-52 Chevs were available as utes as well as 4door sedans. They were unique to Australia.Back in the 80s I knew a bloke who took an average stock 52 ute to the US and sold it instantly for ridiculous money and came home with a 56 Belair coupe.
Now That's what you call alot of Beautiful Cars n Truck n a HELL of alot Better than the Junk they Sell Nowdays huh n they got rid of all the Old Cars never really Broke Down n easy n Cheap to Fix huh n I Love Old Classics
That flower car/truck is pretty rare not a hack job but a real vehicle made that way
Some of these cars have beautiful colors. Not talking about the house paint one. But the styling was just beautiful. I like the car with the airplane on the side of it. People may not know that especially in the 50s and 60s that some of the styles were influenced by the Space Race and the idea of people travelling to planets. My mother had an old car that she said was hers to go back and forth to work in the 40s or 50s. It was sitting up on blocks but she wouldn't let me look in it. She said not to look inside because there might be a snake inside. But I always thought it looked interesting.
I’m after the top grill section for a mid 40’s GMC truck… any help in locating one would be greatly appreciated. Great videos, keep them coming.
This is so awesome...I need a car trailer so I can buy some cool stuff
Hno que nostalgia me da ver ese cementerio de carros hermosos clasicos talvez seria mejor regalarlos para q q los restauren da tristeza y tanto q dieron de hablar...
..2:00..is that a 1942 wartime blackout model?..grill and headlight rims look to be painted...
Cool😊👍
Hermosos carros Chevrolet de los años 40's venga a Nebraska a comprar cualquier Chevrolet los Fleetline son ideales para las culturas de Odlskool y Low Rider y Custom...
I would love to own couple of these in my life
Muito obrigada guerreiros pela informações carros antigos eu amo
When you said rolling pieces of art you nailed it!
At 10:00 minutes you asked about the fender brackets and bumper welded bars. My guess is that it had a custom roof ladder rack with side fender tie downs.
We show a lot more of that car in the part three video of this place. Everyone sure had fun guessing about it!
Those are cool! Hope they don't rust away
Realistically, what one would be interested in is the sheet metal, chrome, and stainless trim parts. New modern geometry frames are available from several outlets. Those old stovebolt inline sixes are history because most guys who would rebuild one of these cars would likely choose modern LS, 4L60E , and some sort of IRS or 9 inch rear ends. And there are companies that custom cut window and windshield glass. Interiors are another area for personal interpretation. I say most guys because the modern driveline parts are more readily available than rebuilt or reconditioned original pieces, but if those old engines and transmissions are present, one could certainly go that route. There is certainly a wide variety of rebuildable old Chevies.
As to the 4dr turned into a truck, not sure but in Canada there was some benefit to having a “truck” over a car in the 1950’s maybe fuel tax or something? Some nice stuff that got pre sold.
My dad had a 41 sedan that he left me when he passed i was 15. I startdd working on it cause interior Was Gone From Sitting In The Phoenix AZ Sun Over 20 Years Since The Late 70S. I Was Overhauling The 235 Putting Rings In It When I Got #5 was Seized It Cyl And Using Wood No Avail Knocked A Hole In It. So After That We Had To Move And Sold That Car,I Didnt Want To. I Wish I Could Find Another. I Couldnt Ask My Dad Why He Parked It, Cause I Know It Ran. He Had Tags From 70 Something That He Never Put On...Brings So Many Memories Back Seeing Those Same Colors Etc.
I love the 52 chevy grill
If you could find several up to date common chassis and drive train you may be able to restomod a lot of them. ;-)
How many are without the headlights in them lol its crazy you never had to buy a head light back then they were all pretty much all the same.
Glad that the owner wasn't a bitter hoarder who's willing to let the collection rot into the ground out of spite. A lot of father & son projects right there.
The 50's chevys hard top much better looking than the business coupes
Can you please advise what kind of fertilizer they used on that farm to grow all those beautiful classic Chevrolets? 🤔
Are any of those old Chevys a Deluxe or Super Deluxe? You got some beautiful old iron there.
its a beautful cars
Someone with deep pockets needs to be charitable enough to buy these and put them back on the road!
I know more people want old cars restored to original but I drove a 37 to school I the early 50s and when my 216 with dipper rods gave up I put a 235 in it with oil pump and bee hive oil filter
How did that one old lonely ford end up there? I almost missed it but I saw the flathead v8 sticking out.
Soo these will be going to The Rust Ranch ? Did you get anything ? You do an awesome job on these videos. Great job.
Part Three will show the conclusion. I hauled a car, but did not take any home on this trip
Nice old carruchitas / like to have one
These are available. I have included Zack's info in the video description box
🌟🤘🤩🤘🌟ok big love
enjoy
Bahasa Indonesianya, sudah terkenal sejak dulu : Bagus
Brother I need the Crome clip around the window trim for a 48 fleet line arosadan I believe they have 3 small PCs
For 1950 - 51 - 52 all Chevy did was to put a hardtop roof on their convertible model - if you look around the back seat area you will see that it is infact a convertible body - I have been building a52 model for several years now and have used up 3 of them doing so
Fascinating!
Very interesting. I wonder if the hardtops had a beefed-up frame, considering there's no B pillar? (My old car is a '49 Fleetline two-door.)
Hope they find homes.
What does the paperwork situation look look on these cars
This is totally random, but I’ll use the comment to boost your video. I watched 1 video in Spanish and now the ads before the videos I watch are in Spanish as well 😆
The all-knowing, all-seeing algorithm knows all and sees all. And suggests accordingly
I wonder what Louis Chevrolet would think of what his car company evolved into?!
Ironically he ended up making speed parts for ford model t's.
Fontenac
would have been great to see how much those cars sold for at auction
These were actually sold on a private transaction
Vontade de por tudo pra rodar
..curious..why were all those trucks cut in two?....
Beautiful thank you kiss Brazil 😍😘😙😚👌👍#Esses carros maravilhosos transmite, uma sensação tão Boa q parece q voltamos aos Anos dourados 💘💋👄
I need an Aerosedan or two, thanks!
