    que aceite me recomienda usted para el primer encendido de mi motor ? es como el suyo, veo que usa quaker state , podra darme mas detalles de que viscocidad y si es sintetico o mineral?

    • @nunapitchuk
      @nunapitchuk  2 месяца назад +1

      En el manual original del propietario se recomienda aceite regular 10W30 para condiciones normales. Creo que la marca no es importante. El sintético está bien, pero es caro.

    Are there more than one firing order for these. The only book I have shows distributor rotor going clockwise. Mine goes counter clockwise.

    • @nunapitchuk
      @nunapitchuk  4 года назад

      I don't know what book you have, but the distributor goes counter clockwise and the firing order is the same on all g16s as far as I know. Look at my videos for one I made about distributer timing.

    I am having timing issues a on a 1996 Suzuki x90, 1.6 16 valve, Would it be the same as this, Don't install my distributor until I'm on tdc on no.1,This puts me on tdc compression stroke, Right? then install the distri. rotor on no, 1? If I do it that way, Should my valves 1,2,5,7 be loose for adjusting, then rotate the crank a full turn to adjust the rest? , and after 2 full crank turns, my crank and cam marks should be in line, on their marks, with rotor at no. 4 , is that correct? Firing order is CW 1342,

    • @nunapitchuk
      @nunapitchuk  4 года назад +1

      I think your engine is exactly the same as mine. It is a little bit difficult to understand your questions, but I think the answer is yes to all. The basics are that when looking at the engine from the front then the crankshaft and camshaft both turn clockwise, but the distributor turns counterclockwise. The crankshaft turns two times for each one turn of the camshaft. You can tell which cylinder is TDC on compression stroke (firing) because all 4 valves will be closed (lobes will be off the lifters). It is important to make sure that the belt is on just right, not one tooth off either way. With the cam pulley timing mark in up position lined up with the notch on the valve cover then #4 should be TDC of compression stroke and distributor rotor pointed down to #4 wire. That is what throws so many people off. I made a couple of other videos related to the same topic that you might want to check out. I adjust the valve lifters first then line up crank marks 2nd, then line cam mark with valve cover 3rd, then install belt 4th, then turn crank one full turn clockwise 5th, and then install distributor last.

    hello sir, specifically what engine is this, and if it is MPFI why does it have a simple distributor?

    • @nunapitchuk
      @nunapitchuk  2 года назад +1

      It is a Suzuki G16B engine. It has 4 individual fuel injectors. The distributor is standard equipment for all of these engines.

    I don't understand your explanation of why the timing belt seems to want to work it's way off of the upper and lower pulleys

    • @nunapitchuk
      @nunapitchuk  Год назад +2

      I think it is actually just the lower pulley. It comes off the upper one because of the lower one. If the timing belt worked it's way inward then it would rub on stuff and cause problems. To make it stay perfectly ballanced in the middle of the gears is probably impossible. So they designed it so that it would slowly work it's way outward as it turns. That way the fan belt pulley can hold it perfectly in the correct place. I was spinning it without the fanbelt pulley to hold the belt in place so it kept trying to slide outward off of the gears. Is this a better explanation?

    Wy the timing belt is olmost pop out?

    • @nunapitchuk
      @nunapitchuk  4 года назад +2

      I am not sure. I think maybe it has to do with me using the drill motor on it. I am going to check the tensioner again and try to make sure everything is aligned correctly. If I find a mistake I will add a comment about it in the video description.

    • @nunapitchuk
      @nunapitchuk  4 года назад +4

      I figured it out by looking at my other engine that I just pulled. It is normal. Suppose to do that. When operating, the belt will push out a little bit, but the crankshaft belt pulley on the bottom will hold it in place. That prevents the belt from going in and rubbing against the block and head. In the video I do not have the lower pulley installed so there is nothing to hold the belt in place. Thank you for pointing that out.
