its as if it has a force is a good discription in the sence of polymer molecules are bigger therfore more mass weight in junction with gel thick property allows for thin syphoning force from microscopic polymer molecules

Good morning, this is Idoia Mugica, Dr In organic chemistry from science museum Eureka! in Spain. I am looking for the procedure to prepare this experiment. When I look for the polyethylene oxide i find differnt references regarding polymer sizy or packing. For instance in sigma aldrich for the same cas number there are more than 10 items. Can you tell me what do youe xactly use. Thank You!

Normal people call it polyetyleneglycol.
Wrong! Polyethylene Glycol is generally not used to describe the polymers of ethylene oxide.

@@julian-io5wl Yes ALSO known as polyethylene glycol but NOT primarily. The proper name for PEO polymers is polyethylene oxide since the ethylene oxide comprises >99% w/w of the polymer and the glycol unit is only at the polymer chain end and becomes irrelevant to its properties for polymers greater the a few thousand daltons.
