Hey guys, today on my channel we are reacting to some people who were caught lying on social media! I think a lot of people lie on social media...myself included. Whether its photoshop, lying about having a girlfriend, or just pretending your life is far more interesting than it actually is -- if you're going to lie on social media, be prepared to get CAUGHT.

In fairness, the one with the guitar "upside down" - she could be left-handed - I know several people who learned to play the guitar like that as left handed but didn't own their own guitar so learned to play it that way - it's not unusual.

Yep, I noticed that too. Guitar is strung "right handed" and many lefties that I know flip it upside down to play. Some of the best guitarists I know play like this. ;-)

@@C.C.369 I enjoyed our lockdown here in New Zealand, ...it was practically an extended episode of extreme makeover home edition sponsored by weed and alcohol and supervised ,paid for and directed by the govt ....I kinda felt like I'd been sent home to clean up ,catch up , and glow up the place on full pay ..... day drinking becomes normal when your entire country has done all the chores 2 weeks ago .....where was I going with this 🤔....no ...it's gone ...sorry ...have a great day 🙂👍

She had this channel but she left inform overload a couple of months ago to concentrate on her own channel 🤷♀️. I would assume “IO” had her on a contract she prob wasn’t aloud to build this whilst being their top presenter ....you should check it out you might like it ✌️

These caught out lying posts always bring back a memory of a girl I knew at school in my year, she was quite often bullied by the other girls and sometimes the boys, she is actually a quiet lovely soul and was very lonely, she sat alone and often the popular kids would throw things at her, she got beaten up quite a fair bit too, I would speak to her when I could, I was an outcast myself but being openly gay the safest place for me was the library at breaks and she would sit outside, she would often tell lies about her life and no one would believe them, I knew she was just trying to fit in, eventually she made up a lie about having a boyfriend that she loved and he would do these lovely things for her of course no one believed them as she was a terrible liar and she was called out on the lies and teased even more, she insisted he was real and would sometimes run off in tears, not too long after she made this up, I was in the library and I noticed her enter and decided to have a chat to her and find out why she lied about having a boyfriend because it had made the bullying so much worse for her, at first she didn't own up to it but she eventually told me that she thought if the other girls thought she had a boyfriend they might be her friend, she was socially awkward TBH and was just depressed and lonely.
Me and my brother never got along at all, there were barely 2 years between us so we fought all the time but his mates were okay with me, one of them was a guy I actually had a crush on but I knew he was straight so I had no intentions of making a move (just look hehe) anyway he was a friendly, tall and stocky fella and a little dense but he was really quite a sweet heart especially for an 18 year old and he was very cute but was never able to keep a girlfriend as they would often say he was "too nice" or just dumb, so I decided to play match maker, I invited the girl(16) to my place for a party that my brother was throwing for his 18th, I was quite surprised she was allowed to come but other girls would be there and her parents were apparently happy she had been invited to a party for once, my brother's friends included her in the party which was basically just a fire pit, loud music, cold food, pool, darts and drinks, when I apologised for how boring it was she said it was the most fun she'd had in ages and was enjoying herself as everyone was actually talking to her, it didn't take long for her to notice my brother's mate and she asked me what his name was (mission accomplished) pretty much being just as good a friend as my brother was to him i walked over to talk to him about her and how shit school was for her, I told him she wanted to know his name and he should go over and introduce himself. They've been together ever since and have 3 children (at least some people get a happy ending🙄).
Something I learned from an early age from my grandmother was people lie sometimes to cover up how bad they are feeling or to sometimes seem more interesting than they feel they are, if I catch one of my friends in a lie on their social media posts or even in person, I whisper them and tell them, sometimes it isn't appreciated but sometimes the post disappears and we never speak of it again. i usually take a lie as a warning sign and simply ask if they are okay and need someone to talk to.
You are amazing to have done that and so true what you are saying! Of course there are rotten apples but often it's a defense mechanism or a way to survive. Thanks for sharing that story, that literally made my day today

It amazes me how just a kind word, even a hug can change someone's day. We as humans are taught to judge others and compete for the best things in life. There's so much that's interconnected that when we start to untangle it, we see how deep it really is Some people lie like you said, to just be noticed or seem important for a minute.
The guitar pic shows she is fretting with her right hand, so maybe she is left handed. (Right handed people fret with left hand.) Most guitars are made for right handed people, lefties have to reverse the guitar, ergo, upside down/backwards looking.

Ehm... you cannot just "flip" the guitar on the other side...
You have to mirror the strings as well, and the chording here is set for a right handed player... 🙄

I have been drunk in the morning at the library, not sure why the the callout person thinks that that would be impossible? Quite easy to achieve really.
Exactly what I thought. Once when I was in college, I went drinking with my friends in night and in the morning I was still drunk. The alarm went off at 6 am, I had yoga in the morning and I went although I was still tipsy.
Yep, I have woken up still drunk more than once when I was younger.
I ate a pot brownie one night, they said dont eat the whole thing... I didnt listen. I went to bed stoned and woke up just as stoned, had to call out of work and didnt start to come down until the next night. Being stoned for around 24 hours was a bit much and I stopped eating edibles 🤣

@@dickfitzwell1447 You are lucky. One time when I was hungry and ate too many funny cookies at a friend's, I got vertigo and literally very nauseously sick. They put me to bed on a cot and the rest went out to a movie. I was somewhat functional when they got home. No more pot for me. (I admitted to myself that I wasn't really that fond of weed buzz even in the best of circumstances. I now stick to beer and girly drinks.🥴 )
I wish I could have a dollar for every person that mentions how people can indeed play the guitar backwards, and a five for every mention of Hendrix. I could buy a house to lockdown in, lol. 😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣

I feel for those who have no homes. People, not you, I am _not_ directing this at you personally, but people in general make it sound like such a chore to have to stay at home, meanwhile there are loads of people who have no home. Reminds me of Ellen Degeneres who took loads of heat for the same feeling. Sure, her house is bangin' compared to most peoples but no one sees the hypocrisy, that's almost as sad a statement about current culture. Ok, I'll shut up now😶

Ok..i always have an issue with the "Upside down guitar" pic and saying she's lying. People play like that. I can name 2 peoole off the top of my head who play lefty upside-down. One is this dude Ryan I've known since high school(20+ years) and the other is JIMI HENDRIX... you know? One of the greatest guitar players to ever live. So while she COULD be lying, it is also very possible she isn't.

I have been in lockdown for almost a year😂😂😂very poorly December, Sepsis January, February,March,April and May, 3 operations and more to go. I only leave the house to go to hospital. People, you really are interesting as you are, there’s no need to lie. I’m probably one of the oldest that follow Charlotte, and I can’t think of anyone who wasn’t interesting when you get to know the real them. I’m not saying everyone is nice, but bad people are still interesting.
I’ve been locked down since March, that’s a lot of cat years.
No one I've come across in Char's comments who thinks they're old is actually old though, lol. It's a lot of folks who are like, 30 to 35 and think they're ancient. It's funny.😂
The ones who actually _are_ old usually don't feel compelled to mention it.
It's almost like we "have" to be interesting these days to be "relevant"🤔 ....be authentic and you'll attract people who share common interests etc ....as for the age demographic....I'm 45 in case anyone is making pie charts or graphs 😂🤣😂🤣

Whether that be through common interests or perhaps aspects that another finds different or unusual to what is known to them . So far as social media goes I'd self evaluate as " not that interesting" insofar as what is commonly laudered as popular.... I'll post a pic of a particularly striking sunset or a little poem or artwork I've created hoping the few people I am friends with will enjoy it too....I guess if someone is interested....then I am interesting....🤔

If she were left handed & somewhat interested in guitar, she'd likely have a lh guitar, or like many leftys.. she'd play right handed to have far Far more choices of instrument.

We've had months of lockdown - scotland
It kind of bothers me when people complain about being in lock down for just a few days.
Here in nz we did 6-7 weeks straight. It's not that hard.
If you have no job and no friends then it's not that hard.
How hard it is depends on so many more factors than just duration of the lockdown... How locked down it is, if you live alone or with other people, if you're an extrovert or an introvert, if you have a good way to connect with the world while in lockdown (think internet connection, a device with a working camera etc), how big your house is, if your place has a garden or balcony or no outdoor space, if you have financial worries because of it or not, your health, your mental health, what kind of things you have had to cancel, etc etc. It seems a bit self-centered to just say "it's not that hard".

I'm thinking with social media being so prevalent in modern society and much of what is popular or "blowing up" being centered around the appearance of wealth , fame or other supposed "in" qualities some people feel pressure to lie to feel relevant or be validated....it's a sad yet not unexpected side effect of the ego driven facade social media allows....I understand the psychology of it ....it's like peer pressure and self imposed expectations based on perceived reality....it's human to want to "fit in" and be liked and accepted , where it strays though is when people are trying to emulate what they see as reality based on the highly augmented and purposely created snippets of life social media allows....I'd rather be uninteresting and genuine to a few real friends than lie and get caught out . But that's just me , studies have shown that getting "likes" creates a powerful chemical reaction in our bodys neurological system ....creating an addictive process.... similar to drug addiction....we like how it makes us feel....we want more of that ....it's really quite sad 🤔
