  • MacBook Magsafe Apple charger cables are notoriously known for fraying where the cable exits the charger brick. A friend of mine had the same issue so he brought the charger to me in an attempt to fix it. There are many such attempts in different videos, but most just remove the collar on the exit and replace it with a blob of hot glue and this looks awful.
In this video, I'm showing you how you can repair yours so it looks just like new without any signs that it had been repaired. This is great if you want to have a good looking MacBook or if you want to sell your MacBook so it looks nicer.
Although the video shows how to repair your MacBook Magsafe Apple charger, many of the techniques shown are applicable to most charger bricks for other laptops and devices.

@TasteTheCode my wires are green and black. Is black live and always the outside wire? My green sleeved wire was soldered closer to the edge. I de soldered from board to re attach wires but not sure which is which within the cable housing :) any advice?

Not sure... I would measure first with a multimeter and check the markings on the housing to confirm polarity.
