You are amazing sharing your journey with your beautiful little one I’ve been told we have to wait 2 years for tests as there’s a huge list but my son was 3 in august can’t say sentences and pulls me to what he wants nursery has given me pictures of things with words underneath these are helping with less meltdowns and he knows what’s happening how do you make other family members see there’s a need when they don’t think there is?x

I feel like you know your child and not speaking in sentences at all by 3 can be something. It can also be other things that also warrant taking a look. And it can also be nothing really. I used to have family not believe it too and make us second guess. I just said to them better to do the assessment and be wrong than not do it and miss out on all that early intervention.

@@nicola28_2 100% I would push for that assessment. Even if it wasn’t autism it sounds like your kiddo needs some additional support :) check in after and let us know how it all goes !

@@thatdailymama thank you so much I’m pushing for assessments just hard as I think nursery know what’s the matter but they can’t say anything as he hasn’t had a assessment yet . He’s been given a IEP which I was very pleased about thank you for all your advice and support feels like very little out there regarding assessments keep saying there’s a large list due to Covid back log xx

@@nicola28_2 my city told us several year wait. We ended up paying out of pocket. It was not easy at all and the whole processes stressful but glad we did it

Are you willing to communicate privately? 3/5/24 my 22 month old was diagnosed with level 3 non-verbal autism. I have billion questions and I don’t know where to begin.

Have you looked into autistic burnout?

I have heard of it and did hear some opinions that it can be related to regression. That’s a good reminder to look at that more ty!
