There's a knock on your cottage door and it's the woodland creatures: "May we have some more clover pudding, please...?" Only a kind, gentle soul would take this path to dispose of the clover pudding. On behalf of the furry woodland creatures: thank you.
I live on the Unceded Territory of the Gitksan Nation in the PNW area of 🇨🇦. The Gitksan people have been living in harmony with the land here for over 10 000 years. They say that where frogs exist is a good sign of healthy soil. It is said that frogs will not live where the soil is toxic. So your little frog who lives by your pond is a sign of healthy soil and water quality. I thought you might find this interesting. Have a great day Niamh and thanks for sharing another awesome video.
Thanks for sharing this. I have a small spring fed pond in my yard in which there seem to live several hundred frogs! This spring is what feeds my well also!
Your postings give me so much pleasure. However there are some strange people on utube and I have been harassed by a couple. Not on your tube but I am nearly 80 and get so much joy. In the meantime. unless I can’t help myself I will just leave a positive tick. Since my husband died 12 months ago , postings like yours have been such a pleasure. It is 12 months now or more and after 58 years of marriage I just want to thank you. But in the lonely nights I might still be tempted to leave a message. Thank you with all my heart.you are a real treasure. 🥰
I love watching Irish rain. In Australia we don't do a lot of gentle rain and life often feels like it's either drought or flooding so seeing that soft pitter patter in all that green in a luxury.
Clover pudding sounds so delicious and whimsical, like something Beatrix Potter characters would have for tea! I also enjoyed learning about self heal. That grows in abundance in my parents lawn and I always admired it; a pretty little plant! Next time I’m over I’ll have to make us all some tea with it, see what my mum and dad think! ☺️. Thank you for sharing your lovely perspective on when things don’t go to plan, hope your rain has stopped for a bit.
Thank you for the nice reminder. I gave birth 2,5 weeks ago and since friday I‘m in hospital again 😣 I got really high fever and was diagnosed with mastitis... It was very hard for me, but now I‘m just giving my body the time that it needs and hope that I can go home tomorrow.
You are so blessed to have all that beautiful rain ! We are in Southern Oregon USA experiencing a drought , and have severe forest fires 33 miles away. We’d love some of your rain !!!
I'm so grateful that you don't pretend all of your experiments go perfectly well. I spent the week foraging for wild berries and made a small batch of jelly yesterday. It didn't set completely but I am still so proud of my efforts and it tastes delightful. If we were afraid of failure we would never try new things!
After another rough night and a heavy head this morn this was a welcome and calming reminder of the perfectly imperfect joys in life. Thank you, Niamh.
i so love your channel - - u always take the heavy yokes of condemnation off me - you remind me that Jesus said His yoke is easy and His burden is light and that I need to give things to Him and be easier on my myself - - thanks so much - youre healing the world one person at a time xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Your garden is so beautiful when it rains; I think it's one of my favorite scenes you share. Thank you for your herbal food ideas, even if they don't always turn out delicious.
Thank you for your positive and refreshing perspective. I agree our perspective is what we have control over. Love ❤️ all your self love care ideas. Truly beautiful! Your indoor filming was wonderful. Your voice is so calming. Thanks 🙏 and hope you also have a wonderful week!
We’ve been blessed with an unusual abundance of purple clovers this year… but I’m most excited for the thriving stinging nettles… last year was off in the PNW US. Think I’ll pass on the pudding :-) I’ll pass it on to someone more handy in the kitchen… and just the pedals, none of the greens… “got it”. Thanks! BTW~ My 1st time at your channel… Being humble with a fail says more about you… you already know.
Thank you for your message, it's much needed to be kind to ourselves and enjoy the journey and not just the end result. This week has been tough, in our fourth week of lockdown and my beloved grandpa passed away. I have been angry at myself for not being productive during lockdown, and for not doing more with my grandpa when he was with us. So this video has been very helpful. God bless xx
Awh my dear I’m so sorry to hear about the passing of your grandpa. I loved my grandpa too so I know how it feels. This is the time to be easy on yourself. Your grandpa would not want you to beat yourself up. If you like you can share a bit about him here…
I have had so many recipes over the years teach me patience and humor- like you, the forest receives the results and the woodland critters make sure nothing goes to waste- thank you so much for all of the beautiful content on this channel!!! Wishing you peace and joy 💚
We have had a very rainy July here. The benefit, drought conditions are eased. I struggle with the seemingly perpetual gloom, but attitude IS everything. So, I keep this is what Ireland weather is, & I hope to return someday for a visit. For now, I just get out for a walk in the rain..& splash when I can
So funny you are doing a video on Clover flowers. We just got a letter from the HOA stating we needed to remove clover leafs from our yard to help preserve the value of our area. So I have been cutting them by hand and raking up. So nice I have another option!!!
Selfheal grows on my lawn too. I may try to make Tea. Also have Dandelion. My other half just sees them as weeds and wants a golf club type of lawn but I don't mind them as much. Tks for all the info.
I let my radishes go too long in the garden and ... woody and inedible, lol! The weather here in NY has been quite humid and overcast for a couple weeks or more now, and I haven't been feeling quite myself, so it's great practice at being kind to myself and going a little easier. Hope your week is beautiful and blessed, whatever beautiful wants to look like :-) Love to all.
It’s so refreshing to have someone share things that don’t work out too. That is the beauty of life and learning as we go. Thank you for this message and your honesty. 😘✨❤️
We often forget that making mistakes is part of learning, so thank you for reminding us. In the hills of the town I live in, the Banjo Frog burrows into loamy soils and emerges to feed and breed after rains. We live in the driest state, so these little animals have evolved and adapted to the arid conditions.
I love your videos, the lull of your voice, the beauty of your country, and the beautiful way you present content. I love that you use teacups for pudding. I enjoy using my teacups for any reason - a small serving of hot soup, ice cream, - anything. Any reason to pull out the pretty set will do for me! Blessings from a small hobby farm in America ... P.S. We have an abundance of goldenrod here where we live and it makes such a lovely tea ...
I picked up an old study I ordered last year but didn't find time to do as work needed more attention and energy. And can only spend your energy once. Besides that due to health problems I have to be very mindful of how I spend my energy. Now I quit my job I picked it up again and finished a chapter and got a 9/10 for it which is really good. But wasn't happy as I wanted a 10... The video is a good reminder to do my best and enjoy the study and be happy with the 9
I love your china tea cups and saucers! I love to experiment in the kitchen with both food and herbs- I make tinctures. It is true that sometimes things don’t work out- but it’s all part of the fun and the learning process. Practice does make perfect after all. I find that a sense of humor about it goes a long way. Nothing like a good laugh!!! 😉😍
My partner always tells me that I am so hard on myself. What a relaxing and calming video to watch on a cozy rainy Sunday morning. Sorry your pudding didn't turn out as planned but nevertheless I appreciated the life lesson you reminded me because of it :)
I agree that red clover might be better in tea. Goodness knows I've made my share of fails trying recipes. I once made a batch of elderberry jelly that I cooked so long it was black and gritty! Totally inedible!

Another happy Sunday for me when I see that you two have produced another gem of a video. I miss the unpredictability of the weather in Ireland, although perhaps if I lived with it constantly I might have a different opinion 😉 You remind me of a cousin in Ireland, her dad’s nickname was “big John the farmer” and we would play fun, imaginative games in the clover field by their cottage while the grown ups would sip on tea, nibble on biscuits and chat inside.
Hi friend! After the video, I called out to my mom, "My friend tried to make clover pudding....it was inedible!" and she went "Clover? WHY?" and I said " 'cause she wanted to try it!" We had a bit of a chuckle. One of my most memorable recipe fails was when I first made frosting from scratch without any help. I love the thought of thinking about what needs to be healed in my body and my mind as I drink tea. I’m going to do this right now. Thank you for such a lovely video. ♥️
Thank you for telling me about Selfheal; always thought this plants was a weed but as always; this depends on your perspective. Looked it up and it is supposed to be extremely high in lots of beneficial properties, even antitumurous!
John Hopkins hospital has ongoing studies with this herb, and they have published many medical journal studies showing incredible results with cancer, heart disease, aids, etc My entire family drink this tea everyday, love it!!
I have been painting a lot an my work is at a stand still. So my self healing is not to work at all today. Just going to do nothing. Thankful for your videos.
Today was a no go for me too! I was supposed to go to a cookout and pool party. But I recently had some skin spots removed and have itchy scabs where they were. I'm a bit embarrassed about showing them to others and I doubt sunshine and pool water would be good for them! So I'd be kind of a big lump sitting pool side in the heat all swathed up in scarves, long sleeves and trousers in 90° temp! Things often don't go the way we'd like. So I took a bubble bath, did my hair and gave myself some self-love! It's important to be good company to yourself when you live alone!
I've been considering getting a book similar to this because there are so many wild herbs near my home and I recently found out that I've had different plants growing around that can be used for tea and baking. So this makes me want to invest in one even more. 😁 Your pudding looks so sweet in those little bowls!!!
I wish you’d come back I miss you I look so forward to your videos at 87 not much more to look at that’s fun but I do enjoy you hurry back God bless take care
Cool that you can make pudding out of clovers! I am sure the bunnies enjoyed it instead of going for your garden lol. My family and I have been sick for these past few days and we are just allowing ourselves time to relax and recover even though we had plans but nothing we can do but get better.
This is so calming and it makes me so peaceful. I also love your home, it must be so amazing to live in there. And,can you do a indoor plant video? I can't wait to see your plants again. With lots of love, gayansa

@@janetstonerook4552 you did the right thing, always love yourself in a bubble bath
Wow ! I in love with your videography.
Your hair is wavy lately; I assume you are letting it have its own way. You look like a fairy, blowing that dandelion!
Thank You for sharing and being honest.
I've been considering getting a book similar to this because there are so many wild herbs near my home and I recently found out that I've had different plants growing around that can be used for tea and baking. So this makes me want to invest in one even more. 😁 Your pudding looks so sweet in those little bowls!!!
Ah yes a reference book is the best!
The pudding may have looked cute but boy did it taste weird 😂
@@FairylandCottage oh nooo😂 I understand that completely! Sometimes it doesn't taste as good it looks😭😂
I wish you’d come back I miss you I look so forward to your videos at 87 not much more to look at that’s fun but I do enjoy you hurry back God bless take care
So inspiring :) I love learning about all the amazing good our earth has to gift us.
Cool that you can make pudding out of clovers! I am sure the bunnies enjoyed it instead of going for your garden lol. My family and I have been sick for these past few days and we are just allowing ourselves time to relax and recover even though we had plans but nothing we can do but get better.
I think this is what I struggle with the most-being kind and patient with myself. I struggle
I love making wishes on dandelions I find as well
This is so calming and it makes me so peaceful. I also love your home, it must be so amazing to live in there. And,can you do a indoor plant video? I can't wait to see your plants again.
With lots of love, gayansa
Thanks!
Don’t think I have any new plants since the last time I did a video! But maybe a garden tour soon!
I didn’t know these were called clover, my 8 year old daughter likes to pick them one by one for fun.
I wanted to see your face when you realised it was inedible 😂😂❤️
😂 it was bad!!
Well this has given me new ideas for a tea as I have both clover and self heal in the garden at the moment, thank you I will be trying this!
Really appreciate your self love and care messages as you also share other interesting info, skills, recipes, etc
