I recently retired after working 40+ years in the medical field…a very intense stressful lifestyle. Everyone told me not to retire during the winter months as I would be “bored”. Not one minute…I have so enjoyed my new extremely quiet life and now heading into spring, I can be “bored” in my garden; truly a blessing. Take care dear ones. ❤️🙏💚
I'm 21 years in the Healthcare field. It's so stressful, I wish I could retire immediately. I continue on, due to bills and mortgage that need to be paid. I'm stuck for at least another 18 years, unless I win the lottery.
Swedish author Astrid Lindgren (Pippi Longstocking) used to always say "Children need to be bored for their creativity to develop", and my dad would tell me this quote every time I said I was bored as a child :) Your videos are so calming and inspire me a lot!
I lived for 30 years in Paris, and working for an'airline, after a big burnout, i stopped everything, and went to the countryside, little village in Normandie, i found a part time job in the village, and i am absolutely so fine here, in my garden , in peace, silence, calm, loving to see the nature in each season, listening to the birds, in winter listening of the creack of the wood in the fireplace..all those little things that full filled me, i never changed this for all the money of the world, i live simple, but so happy and fullfilled life ♥
I am 23. I was born in the country side somewhere in Romania. A wild place, having a taste of the absolute freedom and connection with nature. Went to the city in Uk only to realise that the urban chaos it is empty and unfullfiling for me. I am planning to go back to that boring life that gives me so much meaning and peace. Love your videos. Thanks for sharing. ❤❤❤
Kudos for you to go back to the roots. I feel the same way. Cities are exciting to visit for me, I truly enjoy the culture, the people from all kinds of places, the impressions. But wow, the peace and belonging I feel in my forests, unparalleled.
I am more stressed in a big cites then in a quite small ones or in the country side. I am from Romania too, and here the nature is wild and beautiful you can feel connected
I’m with you! Birds singing, laundry on the line, grass under my bare feet, watching the honey bees on the dandelions, working on a project outside… pure joy!
My 10 y.o. granddaughter asked me via video chat what I was doing for the weekend. I recited a litany of my plans ( baking, taking a walk, cleaning up my yard etc). "But, Grammy," she said, "that sounds SO BORING!" I explained to her that at age 76 "excitement" usually isn't a good thing! It usually means something unpleasant like an emergency trip to the ER or a terrible storm knocking the power out to my house etc. Boring is just fine, thank you! ❤😊
One thing that I have recently been enjoying in my boring life is bringing new life to my old fountain pens. I found them tucked away in a box, dry (no ink) and idle. Fountain pens serve to protect and preserve the analog soul. They are fun, a bit messy, and they are a tool of creativity. I inked them up and since then I have been spending lots of boring time getting back to the basics of letter-craft and cursive handwriting. To me, few things are as satisfying as making curvy shapes and elegant lines, and then putting them together to form stylish letters on paper. Pen and paper… such basic supplies which encourage thought, reflection, and observation. Fountain pens have allowed me to move away from tech and get back to the basics. I love the charismatic memory they bring of my grade 3 classroom where I learned this beautiful skill from my wonderfully patient teacher. I love to reminisce about those classrooms days… nostalgia is the best drug!! Like you, Niamh, we have been planting seeds indoors, and preparing the garden and the greenhouse. This year my partner is attempting to grow a Pear Tree from seed. Today will be my first wild swim as the ice has just recently disappeared off the lake. We are outdoors a lot, and when we are not, you can find me inside having fun with my fountain pens. It’s just past 4:00am and I think I’ll go enjoy the ritual of my morning coffee now. Thanks so much for sharing your boring life with us today, Niamh… I always enjoy your videos and hearing what you have to share with us. Much love and respect to you, Ⓜary🇨🇦🌲💕
Thanks Mary for sharing all your boring goings on 😁 I look forward to pear tree updates! In my high school we had to use fountain pens. I loved it and have kept it over all these years 🎉 🖊️
Thank you for sharing! I have an old fountain pen. I'm sure I could find more. I am VERY busy. It's a season for now. But I draw my energy from faith and simplicity. So it just comes to me. I wanted to write letters again. That very day a crate of beautiful blank cards were set on the roadside, just for me to up-cycle, along with the exact table lamp my daughter wanted for her desk (where to works at home but also draws to relax). This happens to me all the time in my BUSY life. I learned to become sensitive to simple pleasures when my children were little. Cheers!❤
@@kH-bv8ix Thanks for sharing… I feel your joy related to the blank cards set out just for you to discover, as well as a lamp that sheds light on your daughter’s creativity. I hope your old fountain pen is bringing you as much simple pleasure as it does to me. Happy Sunday, Ⓜ️ary
Thank you ! I love my fountain pen too and have just inherited my late husband's which writes quite differently to mine, some cards to write now and taking the time to use the pen makes a big difference to my experience of writing them and hopefully to that of those receiving them too.
The life you are seeding and nurturing for your daughter is the hope that the future can be full of gentler, kinder, more earth-connected souls who will steward our earth and clear the path of humanity toward peace. Blessings to you!
When the connectedness of all creation is understood then our imposed divisions will fade and Earth will be a better place for all things to flourish, as it was created to be.
I love nothing better than to potter about the house and garden with my lovely pussycat, I don't envy competitive career people, I'm happy living modestly and only occasionally feel the need to get out there and maybe find something extra to stimulate my creativity
I was a city person my entire life, but 20 years ago, we moved to the country for about 7 years, it was truly blissful for me, not so much for my husband, now ex, 20 years later I am back in the city living by an airport, uggh, anyway I still remember the feelings I had living in that cottage in the country, the sound of the birds, bats flying by at night, the sound of nothing...it was truly glorious. I would do it again in a heartbeat.
I loved hanging out the cloth diapers when I had babies and still love hanging clothes to dry, there something magical about that. The wee fairy’s curls and you brushing them with your grandmother’s brush is so special.
I have recently realized that this is exactly what I want and need a boring life. I have started to declutter my life of people and event. Hope to find move happiness. Bless you for sharing this video
Oh! I had to cry when you brushed your daughter's hair. How beautiful that was from your grandmother and now for your lovely girl❤ You are such a beautiful and wise woman. I learn and get so much inspiration from you❤🙏🏼 Thank you very much for sharing your wisdom!🙏🏼💐🪷 Your videos brings peace, harmony and love. I love you from my heart.🌻❤🌻
I will take a country life over a city life any day! I’d rather be surrounded by nature and all of God’s gifts than by all the noise, pollution and overcrowding. There’s nothing more peaceful than waking up to the beautiful sounds of birds singing in the morning. To me, Niamh lives in paradise. And her little fairy is so fortunate to be raised in a lifestyle and environment that teaches her the things that truly matter. 🌾🌷🦋🕊️🍀
I live in South Africa and we're experiencing a very cold and wet winter which has kept our children indoors far more than they can manage. We're so looking forward to the change of season and I think our little courtyard will be cheered up nicely by some fairy doors so I'm making a note of that so I can make some with my kids. I can just imagine how happy they'd be to make them, thanks for sharing.
It sounds like my dream life! I have been trying to find the value in being bored. I'm definitely the type that can get over stimulated and stressed. Sometimes I feel like I need to do so much, that I can't decide what is most important and I end up doing nothing. I am trying to let go of control and let myself relax, be bored, be silent, soak in nature, and see what activities I naturally gravitate toward. But sometimes, just watching the birds outside my window, or taking a walk with my dog is enough.
In my culture stinging nettles are a staple in season. We drink it's soup, will share the recipe. In a thick bottomed utensil boil some water with salt, add turmeric( optional but we do ) and add the nettle leaves with tender shoots( after cleaning thm with just water using tongs). Cook on low heat for almost 30-40 mins with occasional stirring. Once the leaves are soft and mushy, use a hand blender, whisk to blend it up.if. One wants it a little thick can add a teaspoon of cornstarch, I use a little sticky rice powder which I add when the leaves are half cooked. Now in a frying pan add a teaspoon of butter and fry some finely chopped garlic. Once the garlic is light brown. Add that fried garlic to the soup. If it's too thick add a little more water. Adjust the seasoning accordingly. It's yummy and very healthy
the moment i decided to not constantly be busy anymore changed everything. i love my boring life, i love the mundane mornings of drinking coffee and watching the seasons change. i've never felt less stressed and more at peace with myself since. thanks reiterating that a boring life is the best life!
Learning to be bored is the antidote for anxiety. I have a 3 months baby and allowing him to just be with himself is when he discovers his own hands, little feet...so cute! I think overstimulation generates anxious kids.
Currently I am desperately trying to break away from the ratrace to live a truly slower and simple life. After working more than 40 years in healthcare I am exhausting having to give, give, give and take more and more stress doing the job. But it is not easy to let go of my base and give up the way of life I am use to. It will take a while, but I am determent! Thanks for your wisdom 🩷
Ohh Niamh, the little fairy going up the path with her basket just melts my heart ♥ Stinging nettle is just growing like crazy around here this year! And the purple dead nettle. Have a great day and I love your videos!❤ Love Lisa Adamson
I don’t necissarily belive there are less things to do on the countryside, it’s like you say: we do different things that, to some, might seem boring. But when you take the time to live with the turn of the seasons there is always something to notice 🌱🌷
What an enchanting, lovely video Niamh! I totally agree with you: living in the countryside slows me down. Today I enjoyed the first spring day by letting go of all my plans and just sitting outside in my garden. Enjoying my tulips and the birds flying over. Thank you for this great reminder to enjoy the simple things!
I left a very ‘high in demand’ government job to lead a slow and sustainable life in a village. My work environment was stressful and toxic and I had started hating the person I was becoming, by just being there. It’s going to be almost 5 years since I left the job. But I have zero regrets till date! Like you said, a lot of people ask me how I can lead this slow boring life. But I just feel I have so much to do around the house, that there are absolutely no boring dull moments! I loved your video. Your daughter is truly blessed to be growing up in a serene environment in the countryside.
One of my favorite things in the whole world is to wake up to the sound of birdsong. I live in the city , however I so enjoy anything of nature, quiet , my slow life looks different but my greatest joy after a day of chores, caregiving, is to sip a cup of hot tea, lighting a candle, watching the flame dance, sitting in solitude, perhaps convincing my tired eyes to read a few pages of an overdue library book, listening to soft jazz... I do appreciate those quiet, slow moments.
I prefer to say a "simple life" as opposed to "boring life" I treasure my simple life. I am going to be 60 this year, I left the matrix 5 years ago and never looked back. Not once have I been bored. I think it is society that makes people believe they will be bored if they leave the chains of working for the man. I am extremely blessed, nature is my life now. Nothing could be better, once you realize that life is so enjoyable when you slow down and rejoice in the little things that bring you joy. You arrived on my feed today and I am now subscribed to your fascinating and boring/simple life. Thank you for your videos.
I find just having running water and a bed to sleep in to be so wonderful. I always love the sight of fresh laundry blowing in the wind. Sending my granddaughter a handwritten letter with a sprig of rosemary and thyme tucked in and picking cilantro to go into the fermented salsa I just made. Washing the supper dishes and seeing your video. This is a snippet of my day today.I am never bored. I am so grateful for simple things. I loved how you made a table out of cherished china, also.
We live a very simple life. I always have something to do. Watch the chickens, gather eggs. Prune, Plant, watch the birds fly, watch a spider spin a web. I love my life. Everyone else can live their fast paced lives if they want to. Your little fairy is growing up so beautifully. See you next month❤
Oh how i agree with slow living! I feel like since I retired I have wasted a lot of time. That mind set comes from years of hard work and being non stop. I now know this is healthy and it's ok to relax and do slow projects.
I'm with you. ❤ Thank you for your wonderful videos. 🙏😇🧚♂️🌺 They bring me so much joy and calm. Above that, I feel understood. As a sensitive soul I prefer a calm and "boring" life. To me, it are the small things that matter and that I cherish like watching the birds, seeing the flowers grow, .... You make such a good job and your daughter is blessed to have such a mindful mum who really sees her and what she needs in every moment. ❤ To BE in the moment is more important than constantly do anything. We are human BEings, not human doings.😉
I crave for this boring life. It calls me and I want to get immersed in it. But I have sparse knowledge of herbs, plants and doing things on my own. So I'm learning through videos like these. It's so heartwarming and fills me with ease. I've started my journey, and soon I'll reach to the wonderful path of life. I'm not calling it destination cuz destination feels like a place where you stop and it's not where I'll be stopping rather it's where I'll thrive and feel alive.🌻🌻
I moved to a town from the city after I retired. I can walk to the library and forest trails are close by. I have a balcony to sit outside and hear the birds and train whistle. The change has brought me peace. I am not far from grandchildren and I delight them with songs and nursery rhymes. I am making a fairy house with sticks, bark and stones we found on the beach.
Hey Niamh! I completely agree. I talked early, walked early, skipped grades, took two university courses when I was 10. Precocity is overrated. Please teach your precious little fairy to be present in the moment, present with her thoughts and feelings, aware of magic, and always compassionate to self and others. xx
Never get bored with our simple country life. Actually, love it. There is always something to do, if you are able. Love your videos. Love that you repurpose things and are not wasteful. I am so thankful that we found you at the start of the pandemic. We are definitely making some fairy doors. They are so neat.
I came back to this video to have some reassurance of my beautiful "boring" little life. I get anxious at times always trying to fill my day with things to do , and while projects are fun , I need to remind myself that i don't need to do 6 in a day , or any for that matter. Thanks again for making this video, it was comforting especially during winter.😌
I so enjoyed this and crave tranquility, “boredom” in my retired life as it’s constant chaos and hate it. People think because you’re retired you’re at their beck and call. I want and deserve this peace, “boredom” time so I can spend time in my gardens, read a good book, do things in my home….things that I enjoy. Thank you❤
There is something ethereal in a boring life, it’s good to be bored. Maybe the word isn’t the most fitting so let’s just call it extended relaxation haha! Superb video and the hair brush that is now utilised for your fairy is antique yet gorgeous. Thanks for sharing your world to us ❤
I needed this video. Thank you. I have moved to the countryside last year and I am still adapting to it. Prior to that, I spent all of my life in really busy cities - in different parts of the world, but always busy, hectic and crowded. I am still adapting to how calm it is to live in a rural area. Most of the time, the boredom is a bliss, but sometimes I still feel out of place, as if I should be doing more, living a busier life, going to places... Your video reminded me of why I made the choices I've made. ❤
I so enjoy a simple life and find I never get bored. I appreciate not being overstimulated and love the calm and the space and fullness it brings in a grounded complete way. It feels freeing and more focused to me. Always good to see you- haribol! 🌻
Thank you Niamh for such a lovely video to start my day. It is always wonderful to see you with the flow of life. Since you are a nurse could you please do a video on how you prepared and took care of yourself before conception. All the important things like multivitamins, your diet and daily routine. It'd be really wonderful to know your perspective. Much love ❤🍁
I love what you said about having more time to reflect. Before I was racing through life, now I've got years of reflection to catch up on since I have slowed down.
I moved to the country 20 years ago and I have learned so much...I have learned to breathe here. Thank you for showing me how to use cleav er/ sticky back. So many herbs and plants that grow in my garden that I'm slowly learning their uses. 😊
Thankyou for the lovely Vlog. I recently found some vintage (old) unused stationary amongst my mother’s things a reminder of the simple things , and the art of letter writing.
I am going to the Sierra mountains tomorrow for a couple days... there is wild nettle in the forest there, which I have never been brave enough to try to eat! Maybe I will give it a go! I also have cleave/stickyback that has cropped up in the roses outside my kitchen door--I would never have thought to use it. I will definitely try the water! Thank you for this inspiration and happy spring to you and your beautiful little family.
I too have been gathering cleavers and nettles and was incredibly fortunate to find an abundance of ransoms (wild garlic) in a quiet area where nobody seems to be picking it. I find such joy in these simple delights.
I've been reflecting lately on what my career means to me, and what kind of relationship I want to have with it going forward. I used to want to do big things and leave an impact in my field. I commented on a video of yours a few years ago about getting laid off, and my perspective since then has completely shifted. Work doesn't need to be stressful and it doesn't have to be your only source of fulfilment--a job can simply be work that pays the bills. I've since found a new job outside of the city with a title that isn't as exciting as the one I had before. It's more boring, but it's less stressful, and I'm so much happier for it. Thanks for making the content you do! This one resonated with me especially. 💞
How wonderful! Nothing boring about a slow life. I stay engaged in the things that mean the most to me and time seems to fly. When I worked in an office full time, time crawled and I was always wishing I could be at home living a quiet life. Your precious daughter is truly blessed to be brought up this way!
I'm so glad you're back here on RUclips. I am just now watching your most resent video after taking a little break while enjoying pregnancy and the birth of your daughter, but I am glad you're back. I am interested in learning what new insights you are discovering since the birth of your daughter. Your videos were a great support to me in the past, and I know that I will find more kinship with them in the future.
You are amazing wonderful I love the place the peaceful life you had. Plants and green surroundings can make your soul so much happiness that no one can give it to you. There is no boring life if you love the things you do.
I crawled back into bed after watering my plants and getting a fresh cup of coffee and said to myself " I could really go for a new video from the fairyland cottage ", and my wish came true! The title was perfect as my colleague and I speak of how nice it is to live a "boring" life... everything you said rings true to me as well. Doing simple ,calming , projects and chores . It's been raining here and will be for the next week. In a nod to you and your little fairy, I'm going to create a little fairy door for my backyard too, and tuck it into a vine wrapped tree as well. (Btw, Could you tell me the size of your pond,im looking to make one too this year :) I hope your garden does well this year, I opted to buy starter tomato plants from my local nursery this year but will be planting seeds for flowering plants outside in my little greenhouse as well. Here's to a boring life filled with wonder , peace and calm. Thank you for this wonderful video this morning . 😌✌️🌱🌿🌻
Your beautiful tulips are stunning in the vase. Your life is not boring, your life is full of experiences that so many folk would miss - like the passing of a bee or butterfly, the sound of the birds, the sway of the trees. You are so much better for slowing down, and taking in what is around you, as you say. Thank you for your lovely video as always. Love from Jilly & Madge the rescue greyhound, from a sunny West Devon (for one day only) England. xxx
Thank you for sharing this wonderful video. I love to listen to your calming gentle voice. I am living a more simple life myself. I enjoy being in the garden and taking time to study nature. Caring for the wildlife. Thanking for showing us what to do with nettles. Your little fairy is growing up in a gentle and caring way. Bless you for sharing this video and I look forward to the next one. X
Another beautiful video 😊 as always I really enjoyed listening and learning 💛 I started living a slower, more simple life a few years ago and it's been hard, but I'm seeing the reward in my reduced stress levels and finding enjoyment in things I always was told i was silly for enjoying before 💛 thank you for helping me find my community, my peace and happiness 💛💛
It is wonderful to have kindred souls I love my " boring" life in rural Saskatchewan 🇨🇦. And I never get lonely and I am never bored. I follow a couple blogs in the UK and find it interesting to about the garden seeds you start. Many of which we just seed into the ground. I wonder if is because our summers are much hotter and sunnier. I am going to give nettle pesto a try, although it is a couple weeks away yet. Thank-you to you for your vlog.
Such a beautiful meaningful video. If that lifestyle is "boring" i would love to be bored every day!! The way you live seems like heaven to me. I live in a rural area but it is often noisy & crazy. I long to move to the country Maybe some day...until then i will try to have a simple peaceful life. Take care sweet fairy family 💚
I live what others might consider a boring life. It’s slow, drama free and I love it. I wouldn’t go back to city/suburban life for anything. I love my cottage in the forest 💚
Hello and good morning from the Bay Area, California! 👋 Thank you for this lovely video! I always look forward to them, your voice is so calming like a meditation. 😌 I've always adhered to living a simple life for reasons you've described, and it is true, others prefer keeping themselves busy to the point of their being overworked and getting sick all the time. I haven't had even a cold in 10 years now, so the slow calming life away from the busy people must keep me well and happy. 😌
You are the only "simple, boring" life vlog that I watch because i learn and reassess my life as it is.. The past decades have brought me plenty of stress and trauma (and happy times) so I think now that cooking, watching kids play and padding around my home is quite enough stimulation. I learned from this vlog that it's okay to be semi -retired. Thank you.
I really missed your videos but I understand that you needed a break❤ your videos help me to remember it’s a blessing to live a simple life…. The other night I was so happy of seeing the moon light shine through my window, it was very beautiful and cozy. Some people will consider me being an old lady… I never went to the club, never really liked parties because of all the noise…. I rather sit in the backyard feel the sun on my skin and hear the birds sing with a good book in my hands, a real book and feel the pages ahhh my kind of day. ❤
❤ when you talked about the expectations of the next stage of a child 👧🏻 I couldn’t agree more 😊 why can’t we just enjoy this moment and let them grow as their own space. There is no need to hurry up this inevitable process 😅 love seeing the little fairy running around the place
This topic couldn't have come at a better time. I've been spending the last couple of weeks feeling like I need to do "more, more, more" (even though I am doing perhaps enough already). Thank you for your beautiful video
I love my boring simple rural life💖. I love the fresh air, the silence, nature all around me, the time to cook healthy foods, my daily walks with my dogs. I am busy in a good way, never bored, and no stress🥰
Everything you’ve said gives me reassurance that i am on the right path. Often i see my friends & family posting something they have achieved or material things they have bought and it gives me a sense of FOMO. Thank you for reaffirming me that this way of life is also something to be proud of.
I agree wholeheartedly. I live in the country, in the states on the shore in Maryland. Where the birds chit chat, and the hoot owl talks half the night away 🥰 Those boring times, I find perfect for a walk, I love seeing what others have blooming in their garden.

Your videos are mental health service. Thank you!
Thank you Niamh for starting my day with such a blissful and calming video. Blessings to Fairyland Cottage and the Little Fairy. 🧚♂️🐸🌾🇨🇦
Awh thanks 😊 glad you enjoyed 💕🧚♂️☀️
I love those whimsical fairy doors...must bring a smile everytime you see them
I was a city person my entire life, but 20 years ago, we moved to the country for about 7 years, it was truly blissful for me, not so much for my husband, now ex, 20 years later I am back in the city living by an airport, uggh, anyway I still remember the feelings I had living in that cottage in the country, the sound of the birds, bats flying by at night, the sound of nothing...it was truly glorious.
The golden possibilities of ‘simple’ life!
Good morning. Country is peaceful and nothing boring about nature. I want to move back to the country.
Enjoy your life its a blessing.
Nature is the true healer 🍃🌞🍄
Oh! I had to cry when you brushed your daughter's hair. How beautiful that was from your grandmother and now for your lovely girl❤
You are such a beautiful and wise woman. I learn and get so much inspiration from you❤🙏🏼
Thank you very much for sharing your wisdom!🙏🏼💐🪷
Your videos brings peace, harmony and love.
I love you from my heart.🌻❤🌻
One person’s boring is another person’s beautiful
And this little vlog was beautiful 😘
I will take a country life over a city life any day! I’d rather be surrounded by nature and all of God’s gifts than by all the noise, pollution and overcrowding. There’s nothing more peaceful than waking up to the beautiful sounds of birds singing in the morning. To me, Niamh lives in paradise. And her little fairy is so fortunate to be raised in a lifestyle and environment that teaches her the things that truly matter. 🌾🌷🦋🕊️🍀
Lovely comment. Thanks for sharing my friend 🧚♂️☀️🙏
So so true Viviane… they discover so much when we don’t hover over them.
At the end little fairy calling you MUMMY, is just so heartwarming! ❤❤❤❤
I love watching your videos please keep posting them:)
Who needs tv with all the fun! 😁
Oh how i agree with slow living! I feel like since I retired I have wasted a lot of time. That mind set comes from years of hard work and being non stop. I now know this is healthy and it's ok to relax and do slow projects.
Those tadpoles are so cute! I love frogs.
Sounds perfect Alison!
❤You can find a whole world in just looking at a flower, therein lies the everyday magic of slow living🌸
Hey Niamh! I completely agree. I talked early, walked early, skipped grades, took two university courses when I was 10. Precocity is overrated. Please teach your precious little fairy to be present in the moment, present with her thoughts and feelings, aware of magic, and always compassionate to self and others. xx
That’s lovely advice Laura. Thanks you 🙏
Never get bored with our simple country life. Actually, love it. There is always something to do, if you are able. Love your videos. Love that you repurpose things and are not wasteful. I am so thankful that we found you at the start of the pandemic. We are definitely making some fairy doors. They are so neat.
Thanks Debra! Glad to have you here for the journey ❤
Love the little fairy swing 💛
I so enjoyed this and crave tranquility, “boredom” in my retired life as it’s constant chaos and hate it. People think because you’re retired you’re at their beck and call. I want and deserve this peace, “boredom” time so I can spend time in my gardens, read a good book, do things in my home….things that I enjoy. Thank you❤
There is something ethereal in a boring life, it’s good to be bored. Maybe the word isn’t the most fitting so let’s just call it extended relaxation haha! Superb video and the hair brush that is now utilised for your fairy is antique yet gorgeous. Thanks for sharing your world to us ❤
I love that. Extended relaxation 😁🌟
Not boring ..peaceful and relaxing. Beautiful we all need to slow down ❤
I love the little fairies swing! And the red fairy doors are simply adorable!
I love what you said about having more time to reflect. Before I was racing through life, now I've got years of reflection to catch up on since I have slowed down.
I forgot how much I enjoy your channel. So glad that you’re back.
A boring life is my dream. It's how I spent my childhood days in the countryside. My body is in the city, but my heart will always be in the woods.
Thank you for telling the world a boring life if joyful.
I love my boring life and wouldn't have it any other way. Thanks for posting your lovely video.
I moved to the country 20 years ago and I have learned so much...I have learned to breathe here. Thank you for showing me how to use cleav er/ sticky back. So many herbs and plants that grow in my garden that I'm slowly learning their uses. 😊
The fairy door is too cute!!!!
I’d love to live your “boring” life. It looks so simple and beautiful. Absolutely perfect. ❤
I too have been gathering cleavers and nettles and was incredibly fortunate to find an abundance of ransoms (wild garlic) in a quiet area where nobody seems to be picking it. I find such joy in these simple delights.
This video reminded me of some herbs and flowers I want to plant this year. I just grabbed the seeds from the attic. Thank you for the reminder!
Ah thanks for sharing Madeline! Glad you made choices and are more happier because of it.
Hehe great to hear! Our pond is the size of a bathtub. We literally got a free bathtub and thought we’d make it into a pond 😂
@@FairylandCottage nice !😅🤣👌
What a lovely reminder to just be yourself and not compare who we are or what we “should” be doing, to anyone else. ❤❤❤
I really enjoy your videos every time. They make me feel calm. I live a very hectic life and I cannot figure out how to get out of it.
Thank you Natalie 🌷
So wonderful to see you today ❤
So a true testament! So much illness is caused by undue stress trying to keep up with the fast society 😅❤

Beautiful video! Thank you!
I lived in the city for many years and the country life is much better and healthy!
Ah I hear you 😊🥰 you appreciate the simple pleasures. You are richer than most people 💕
I love being one with nature, I live in the countryside, and I live such a simple life and im the most grateful for being so balanced with nature
Lovely, insightful vlog and wonderful upbringing for your little fairy! Thank you
❤ when you talked about the expectations of the next stage of a child 👧🏻 I couldn’t agree more 😊 why can’t we just enjoy this moment and let them grow as their own space. There is no need to hurry up this inevitable process 😅 love seeing the little fairy running around the place
I really agree with your philosophy. Enjoy and savour every small moment with your little fairy as they grow up so quickly.
This topic couldn't have come at a better time. I've been spending the last couple of weeks feeling like I need to do "more, more, more" (even though I am doing perhaps enough already). Thank you for your beautiful video
Love your program I look forward to each one about five times. Your daughter is beautiful. God bless take care.
I am so glad that more people are realizing the value of slow living! Wise words!
And your little fairy's curly hair is delightful 😊
I agree wholeheartedly. I live in the country, in the states on the shore in Maryland. Where the birds chit chat, and the hoot owl talks half the night away 🥰 Those boring times, I find perfect for a walk, I love seeing what others have blooming in their garden.
This is just so beautiful. Thank you for sharing a glimpse of your peaceful, simple life!💛
I really needed your words today. Thank you so much! 🙏🏻🤗
Thank you this exquisite video. So quiet and truly beautiful in its visual pleasure and sensitivity in your thoughts on simplicity.
I love your grandmother’s brush! And what a sweet sweet swing! ❤❤❤
