  • In this video, we copy CarsandCameras' idea for the racing mower by adding the jackshaft with a small pulley on the bottom and big pulley on the top for even taller gearing(1:2.5 to transaxle) and it runs just needs brakes, shifter, front bearings, and longer front belt!

    Howdy from Texas!
    This is what shops are for....the deck raise arm should be an emergency brake ....powerslides in my old foxbody stangs at 60mph were the best....any thought of fitting old bicycle springs , like the 2”diameter and 5” long kind in rockhoppers....in the front crossmember or where wheels attached, wouldnt be bouncy but itd lean just enough in hard accidental turns....i have some from my old honda rincon but theyd be too big unless u cut em and put em in back where the weight is.....also valve springs from a big block ford would maybe work up front....idk im just bouncing ideas.....cool build man

    Hey man, great vids and great build. I’m no engineer or anything, but wouldn’t bearings wear out faster because of the camber that’s on the front? If not could you please correct me and explain why bearings would be better in this situation? Keep up the awesome work and try not to flip it like C&C did! Wouldn’t want you to get hurt.

    • @IngenTechNational
      @IngenTechNational  2 года назад +1

      Bearings are better overall for speed and have a lot less play and rolls freer, bushing are the cheap way out on that and spins on the shaft and wears out quicker(mowing grass or even a slight pulley swap it is fine but for what I'm doin bushings are not acceptable! Obsessive camber will be fixed don't worry:)

  • @Scott_lackey
    @Scott_lackey 2 года назад +2

    Yo sick build man, you should definitely weld the diff so you can drift and wheelie better. Also I am gonna try this trick as well and do this do you think I could put a full 40 series torque converter on the bottom side of the jack shaft? And leave the top side of the jack shaft the same as you did in your video?

    • @IngenTechNational
      @IngenTechNational  2 года назад +1

      That is a good idea! Have the driver on the engine and put the driven pulley on the jackshaft! And run a longer belt to it! That will be epic! Hope that is what you mint lol!
