I've had a couple of those engines for a year or two and they have never had any issues (ive reved them so high and used for so long), the coils will go out every once and a while!
These old tractors are addicting to work on, I have a Dt200 40hp blaster and I enjoy my old pulley swapped yt 12.5 ford more, those old ford tractors are tough as hell
Dam the Tractor supply you got is legit compared to the piece of crap around me. Every time i go there I gotta tell myself, "dont get pissed off cause you already know they ain't gonna have what you're looking for."
hi, I saw your video and I also installed the torque converter. 40 series on my electric tractor it has a 10kw motor it weighs 400kg but the belt overheats after a few km and the same thing happens
I don't fully know exactly however, tires and steel was the most expensive pieces and all the little stuff all adds up fairly quickly too, but if I had to guess maybe 3-400 lol.
Alright! The way it is currently is 4 inch on the engine, 3 1/2 on the jackshaft(bottom), 8 inch on the top of the jackshaft, and 3 inch on the transaxle. If I were to guess it is probably a 3 to 1 total ratio from the engine to the transaxle.
I have a craftsman dlt 3000 and it would go very slow forward and very fast in reverse. I did a pulley swap on it and it goes a tiny bit faster forward but really fast in reverse. Is there a way I can change this? I would like it to be the other way around. Any info would be nice. Please and thank you. I look around on the internet and can’t seem to find a straight answer. 😅
The transmission possibly could be mounted backwards or upside down making it that way. If it is a F-N-R MTD with the vary-drive then maybe. I would have to look at in person to really know lol.
Make sure your pulleys are properly aligned. “break them in” for about 10 minutes and let them stretch out. either engage or disengage the clutch and not slipping the belt by partially pushing the clutch in. and make sure everything is out if the way and not rubbing on anything.
Racing Mower is completely stock, changed the diff fluid accouple of times. Right now is 12oz of 75w90 and 4-6oz of 0w20 motor oil to help thin it out for the insane speed the shafts are spinning(10x faster than stock). The Off-road Mower has a welded diff and 18oz of 75w90 differential fluid. I have full diff oil in it because it is geared lower than the Racing Mower at only 21mph max, whereas the racing mower is geared for like 50-55mph.
@IngenTechNational I have a race mower I'm making I want it to go 35mph do you think it will be fine with the stock grease?. (i will not be going 35 constantly)
I don't know what type of transmission you have but mine is a Tecumseh Peerless MST-206 that is oil filled, if it is a very similar transmission with actual gears then if you are doing high speed, yes I would take the grease out because it is a semi-solid and doesn't work well for highspeed, you need some thinner oil to lubricate better and stay cooler. I would just fill it with some 75w90 or take the whole transmission apart to clean the grease(I guess you probably won't do that lmao cuz I wouldn't either) You can research your transmission online to find more information on what you can do.
Are you running the og trans on it? I’ve got a Briggs and Stratton twin like yours and I’m planning on building a racing kart out of it. Other than that sounds really good bro!
Eh idk, this will top out in high 40s maybe early 50s. Not the fastest at acceleration but will eventually get up to speed. As far as this not being a twin… it’s not a single cylinder and not a triple or more, and it says “TWIN” on the motor.
I am currently working on next video haha, since it is now summer I can do more things!
i have a 5 inch in the front and a 2 inch in the back and it will go 48mph

I was gonna mention something about it in this video but I couldn't because of storage and it wouldn't export.

Hi , how are you shifting that like a stick shift
Sort of yea, it isn't like a H pattern and a sequential it is just push it in a straight line in whatever gear.
@@IngenGarage I did know you could do that without breaking gears .
I always thought you had to be at a stop to shift to another gear .
Thank You
Joe
Yeah that is true bit it is fine on this I and many other people never had a problem, now when I shift into neutral or reverse then yes I stop lol.
Sweet!! I am working on a GT18 that I was making into a mud mower but now I am trading it for a 1983 Harley Ironhead..
Nice dude!
Can you go over the pully sizes on the mower? Good vid man keep it up
Engine is a 4 inch, jackshaft currently has a 3.5 inch. Top of the jackshaft has a 8 inch and transaxle has a 3.25 inch.

Alright!
That pop sounds sexy 😂🔥🔥🔥
What size is the lawn mower LT??????
1000 I think
Okay I work on the exact same thing

Hey bud I got another question can you add the front tires and rims to the back of your mower or is that not possible because of the key way
Its gotta have a key way in it, that would be pretty funny tho!

does the transaxle have anything done to it?. I mean like is it still grease, or is it oil filled?

that one sounds real nice🤩🤠 whats ur top speed now? 44 mph?
Haven't eventually done it but if I had to guess anywhere from 45-55mph or so! Hit 51 with the single cylinder OHV.

Looks closer to 20mph
Probably so, that is the top speed on my offroad mower. I did the math on this and it is geared for about 50mph.
