For such a small amp this (and your playing) sounds good to my ear. Particularly like the modulation fx and low gain amp modeling. The combination of amps, modulation fx and reverb/delay in a go-anywhere shoebox is awesome👍
Thank You. A very good demo, lots of playing the amp and accompanying info on screen. The Amp does sound good to my ears. I use logic so may well invest in the THR5. Q. Why is it called V2 please? The reason I ask is that I cant find one (in the UK) with V2 after the THR5. Is it a 2nd version (a mk2) or does the V2 refer to twin speakers? Anyway, great vid. Gets a 👍🏼 from me.
Interesting choice to demonstrate this little amp using several sounds in a song, which is exactly its main flaw ;) (no possibility to save presets, switch between sounds or even turn effects on and off with a pedal)
Yeah I always try to use different sounds with amps, guitars and pedals, but yes this amp is more intended for practice and maybe studio use than for live performances!
@@mariosever6193 thank you! :) I downloaded them from Yamaha website! it.yamaha.com/it/products/musical_instruments/guitars_basses/amps_accessories/thr/downloads.html
I'm still confused how you are getting the audio that we hear when you are physically showing us that you are testing the amp out. I want to know how to do this with mine so i can post a live play through with this type of quality. What do i need? Please help and thanks for posting!!
Thank you! Well I recorded the demo using the THR as an audio interface, I simply plugged it into the computer via USB. You can do that on Windows, Mac or Linux, with basic software like Audacity or GarageBand if in Mac, if you want to get sis about recording with Logic or Reaper or any DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) :)
@@KevorkianMetal I’d still go from the USB because the audio quality is very good and there’s almost no latency, so it’s ok for a live streaming (if that’s what you meant)
Good review. I liked how you went through everything first without talking in-between each feature, then went over your thoughts at the end.

Good review. For the size it sounded fine for what it is.
Amazing review. You deserve more views. :)
Pretty set on getting a TRH - deciding between the 5, 10 and 30 models. This video helped a bunch.
What did you decide in the end? Trying to decide between 5 and 10!

Thank you man! Yeah I specified V2 because it’s a revision of the first model, don’t really know what’s changed but worth noting

Where did you find the drivers, do you use mac for recording? I am having problems connecting to mac.. great video

@@sergioserramusic Thanks , what about if I want to do like a live session but have the audio quality be the same to the viewer/listeners?
@@KevorkianMetal I’d still go from the USB because the audio quality is very good and there’s almost no latency, so it’s ok for a live streaming (if that’s what you meant)
@@sergioserramusic yes exactly, So will I still need software other than the Yamaha's own to live stream? I have to mess around with it some
@@KevorkianMetal not really, you should be able to select the amp as a input and that should be it !
Isn't it an acoustic guitar amplifier?
@@marcfoss7687 nope, this is for electric guitar! I think there’s also the acoustic version
cool little amp, thank you.
Sounds thin to my ears. Less „punch“. But it looks nice
pretty shit compared to the spark mini amp tbh
@@kietchu2761 never tried the spark, I would love to
