Thanks for showing me never to buy this car, was very tempted as its very cheap here. Love your unique overheard jack. Not easy making this video. Really appreciate the look inside a cvt and its weak points.
He's not showing you to never buy the car, he is showing you what can happen with them and yes obviously they are getting old. They get neglected because of the cost of maintenance. The W169/W245 were incredibly innovative, safe, fantastic fit and finish and had technology that is still not always offered or is optional on new cars of its type. It's 2mm shorter than the last Ford KA (FIAT 500 one) but has space inside to rival a Focus/Golf/Astra. I'm 5"11 and if I sit in the front passenger seat and put it all the way back I can stretch my legs entirely. They are fun to drive, refined and despite engine lowering/engine out jobs and some MB parts being incredibly expensive all the usual wear and tear stuff like brakes, wheel bearings, tyres are all really cheap. They are also easy to upgrade and you can take some parts from special equipment vehicles and retrofit them to a classic model.
Good evening Mr and thank you for sharing your knowledge about the A Class, I'm a big fan of you. Can you please explain to me what is the cause of the breakage of a new accessory belt installed after only one week? Twice !! It's an automatic 170 cdi 95hp
Sorry I missed your question. A170 alternator has a freewheeling pulley, and when this pulley sizes the belt tensioner overworks and results in damaging the belt prematurely
Great video. I have a P0841 Transmission Fluid Pressure Sensor/Switch “A” Circuit what could be the cause? I inspected the valve body and there's no cracks. do you think its the TCU? Inside the transmission everything looks good.
No. It says transmission service required on the cluster display and the car has erratic shifting. I only got the p0841 code from the ecu. Have you ever seen this issue?
Hi, thanks for your video. Please, could you let me know where is connected the metallic strips that appear in the minute 10:50? It could be feasible to do it until to see these strips that seem to be difficult to put again in their place.
Is it heat to put in a new valve body and replace the transmission oil and filter with new what would you say is best or fit the new valve body with the dirty transmission oil.
Hello! Thank you for the video. I have a Mercedes B Class from 2009 with automatic transmission and the car whines, i wonder if it can de the transmission. The funny thing is, when it is in park and neutral, it whines. But when it is in drive or reverse, it stops whining, and only whines again when you press the accelerator. Thanks for a very informative video. My girlfriend have a 2006 Mercedes B 180 2.0 Cdi. On highway-driving it works normal, but in city-driving and in drive-mode it jumps out of gear occasionally. A change to neutral and back to drive and it works fine again. Shift gear manually and it works great all day long. Could an oil and filter-change get rid of that gremlin or is there something else? Hi. Thanks for an informative video. On my 2006 A170 auto, i had the tcu refurbished and everything was good for about a year. Now it has developed new symptoms. Starts normal but when you put it into any gear or even neutral there is a grinding noise and the car only moves backwards. As per your other video, i checked the driveshaft while in neutral and its NOT turning. Any thoughts on what might be wrong here? Thanks

Hello, you only send your CVT control unit for repair if you have fault codes 0722 or 0793, anything else is mechanical. Different mechanical failures in the gearbox trigger similar fault codes and these fault codes usually will not tell you where the fault is.
Thanks for a very informative video. I have a 2006 Mercedes B 200 2.0. However it jumps out of gear occasionally.
