Re: the influence of Texas Chainsaw Massacre... when Bong Joon Ho accepted his Best Director Oscar, he said he wanted to cut the trophy into pieces to share with his fellow nominees like Tarantino and Scorsese, but he noted that he wanted to use a "Texas chainsaw" to do the cutting. Which means that he thinks it's titled that cuz the chainsaw was manufactured in Texas and not because the massacre occurs in Texas lol
Hey Raanan have you ever seen the Exorcist 3? I like it more than the original. It’s essentially a serial killer mystery with the possessed element. And it’s set in a dementia ward or a hospital. Might be good to check out before you make your movie.
I get Nathan's point but there are a lot of summer based horror movies. I try to watch horror movies based on what season they take place in. That way it feels a little more special
I watched Rosemary's Baby the opening week of its release. I got drawn into the Mia F. character. She had just married Frank Sinatra. I experienced her terror. I mean, I'm gay. Then and now at age 73.
Raanan, watch the movie The Coffee Table. 90 min runtime. It is in Spanish, but well worth it. The anxiety and dread in that movie is off the fuckin charts.
Raanan only likes the Shining now because he needs money and he has to appease Kubrick fans out there - which is everyone that watches films. Expected a slick move from you Hershberg.
The regret in Nathan's face throughout the video gives me so much joy.
Memory Room is a horror film about a jewish comedian who asks his fans to donate money for a movie and then pockets it.
Love you Raanan you're great. gotta do a yorgos lanthimos episode with joe tho.
