- Mechagodzilla from the heisei era was one of the more popular enemies of Godzilla! He was awesome, who wouldn't want to see a robot version of Godzilla! This was also one of the big G's hardest foes he ever fought! Lets take a closer look at toho studios, heisei era version, of Mechagodzilla and Super Mechagodzilla!
I never used to like super mechagodzilla but every since I watched the movie and played the PS4 Godzilla game with him I have started to love him and see how powerful he truly was!
All Mechagodzilla , Showa , Heisei , and Millennium are my favorites. From the looks to the roars I love them 😎

I think Super Mechagodzilla and Space Godzilla are both pretty much equal to each other, and then Destroyah is beyond them. Then on the level of Destroyah would be Kaiser Ghidorah (I'm using these ones because they're the only monsters to deal with Godzilla's red super breath). That still puts Super Mechagodzilla somewhere in the top 5 strongest opponents, but he's still just short of being Godzilla's toughest enemy.
Super MechaGodzilla and SpaceGodzilla to this day are the most powerful foes that Godzilla has gone up against

@@hanaahmed5654 metphies lost control of the planet eater ghidorah because haruo destroyed the arbitrarium bead in his eye and when haruo destroyed the bead, godzilla was able to kill ghidorah because it's trapped in the milky ways laws because ghidorah was from another universe.
Makes me wonder what would have happened if Rodan's life force failed to revive Godzilla. Spacegodzilla and Destoroyah would have come anyway. Would Mechagodzilla have managed to beat Spacegodzilla? If not, would the Destoroyahs have basically obtained their aggregate forms only to find themselves into a crystal hellscape?
sam rizzardi I like to think that Spacegodzilla would eventually meet Destoroyah in that timeline. If Mechagodzilla failed against Spacegodzilla, Moguera is gonna have a hard time dealing with both. Maybe Mothra would return to help out. And while she is powerful, I don't see this fight ending well.
If Mechagodzilla had killed Godzilla, there wouldn't have been any need to build MOGUERA (he was after all built from MG's remains).
I think SuperMechaGodzilla could take down SpaceGodzilla and Destroyah albeit not easily

Doubt it. What gave Mechagodzilla such an advantage over Godzilla and Rodan was its ability to absorb Godzilla’s atomic breath and reflect it back. Once the plating melted, Mechagodzilla was exposed. Spacegodzilla and Destroyah don’t use atomic breath.
You should make one of these on Godzilla and Kaiser Ghidorah from final wars.

im late to the party, but this MG here, this one is my favorite.
Heisei Mechagodzilla is awesome.
The Heisei Mechagodzilla already had two weaknesses. 1.) He has no fighting capability. He was lucky to get a tackle on Godzilla when he was distracted by Garuda. 2.) He was overheated too much. Without his firing weapon, he can't fight Godzilla unarmed combat and got pound around, drop by a DDT, step on his head, and slapped by his tail.
It's too bad we never saw Mechagodzilla against Space Godzilla. I understand the reasoning they came up with that kept him from ever being rebuilt basically. (That the combined power of Godzilla and Mechagodzilla probably would have been seen by audiences as too much of a mismatch for Space Godzilla.) But I would have liked to have seen it anyways. They could have reworked the script/plot around and made it work I'm sure. Kinda like this...
At the beginning of the movie you could start by showing that Japan has Mechagodzilla rebuilt for fighting against Godzilla again. But not long after Japan has Mechagodzilla (and Garuda) working again, they discover Space Godzilla. Though hesitant to use Mechagodzilla for any fight other than one against Godzilla, Japan decides to send Mechagodzilla and Garuda to intercept Space Godzilla as he lands on Birth Island. (In this version of the movie Godzilla wouldn't show up at Birth Island right away.) Space Godzilla torments and imprisons Little Godzilla just before Mechagodzilla and Garuda arrive, with Garuda arriving first. Garuda harasses Space Godzilla for a moment or two until Mechagodzilla lands and the real battle begins. They trade beam attacks like crazy but soon it is discovered that the Diamond Armor and Plasma Grenade are not working as effectively against Space Godzilla's Corona Beam; since it isn't a straight up heat beam like Godzilla's, so they decide to combine with Garuda to form Super Mechagodzilla, to help buy more time for the Plasma Grenade to charge. Unfortunately Space Godzilla decides he's had enough and uses his Telekinesis on Super Mechagodzilla, throwing him into the side of a cliff. Which massively damages Garuda, which is attached Mechagodzilla's back. The pilots are forced to detach from Garuda. Space Godzilla manages to fully destroy Garuda as Mechagodzilla barely gets out of the way of the explosion. Finally, Mechagodzilla seems to have charged it's Plasma Grenade and they fire it at Space Godzilla. Only to watch in disbelief as Space Godzilla erects his Shield and the Plasma Grenade is unable to do damage. Space Godzilla then uses Telekinesis to again toss Mechagodzilla into the side of the same cliff and blasts Mechagodzilla with his Corona Beam to seemingly finish it off. (This is all condensed down as the two opponents blast each other over and over again inbetween the main events I'm writing in. With Mechagodzilla taking more and more damage throughout the fight.) Space Godzilla then roars in triumph and flies away. Not knowing that Mechagodzilla was still "mostly" intact. Not long after this; while the humans are trying to get Mechagodzilla patched up enough to fly back home, Godzilla shows up on the island to figure out what he had sensed going on. He frees Little Godzilla and heads off in slow pursuit of Space Godzilla. Shortly afterwards Mechagodzilla is returned to base for repairs....
I think this would have been an excellent replacement fight for the beginning of the movie and would have accomplished two main things...
One: Establish the power of Space Godzilla. Making him seem pretty dang invincible as he is able dispatch Super Mechagodzilla.
Two: Get rid of the threat of Super Mechagodzilla early and by cause and effect the tag team power that Super Mechagodzilla would have had alongside Godzilla. Reducing Mechagodzilla to his regular form for the rest of the movie would have made it seem absolutely necessary for the humans to team up with Godzilla to even stand a chance.
Then a chunk of the movie would have showed Space Godzilla flying over and landing in a few different areas to cause chaos and damage. Even more places than the original movie. All of this happening while the humans repair Mechagodzilla and Godzilla is making his way to Japan. Eventually Space Godzilla would land and start building his fortress the same way as he did in the original movie and eventually Godzilla would begin to fight Space Godzilla. With slight reluctance the humans would send in Mechagodzilla to help Godzilla; instead of destroy him, and they would eventually defeat the evil space clone. Though Mechagodzilla would probably be destroyed for good this time around, similar to the way M.O.G.E.R.A. was destroyed.
I personally think this would have been awesome. Even if their might have been too many "Godzilla" named creatures running around in this movie. What do you think?
My favorite version of MechaGodzilla, in my opinion, is always gonna be Kiryu. And I rank the Heisei MechaGodzilla a 6/10.
Please never delete any of your Mechagodzilla videos because some RUclipsrs delete their old videos and that really makes me sad.

To be honest, I agree with some of your points, but type 3 KIRYU (MFS) is Godzilla's toughest opponent, here's why
-Kiryu never truly lost against Godzilla, he defeated him in the 1st encounter with strong damage obtained to his arm and absolute zero cannon (with which he could've instantly killed Godzilla) and after having them repaired with a triple maser cannon and drill arm he KILLED Godzilla by dragging him to the bottom of the sea (I'm pretty sure) or atleast defeated him in a last manor, he didn't even put up his best of a fight and could have easily grabbed Godzilla and resisted his atomic breath whilst then giving off a blow from the absolute zero cannon, making Godzilla shatter under his own weight, he had all the tools to finally kill Godzilla, and with the fact that he is the last mechagodzilla to be made so far, he is surely the alpha of the trio.

Maybe but the size difference puts those feats into a different perspective. Plus, Heisei Godzilla is one of the most powerful Toho incarnations and Kiryu had plenty of issues with its energy.

S. Nifrum I heard that Toho though SuperMechaG is too powerful to use in the movie, So either they need to make SpaceG insanely strong or nerf MechaG and Godzilla a bit.
Only problem is in continuity Mogera is supposed to be an upgrade from Super MechaG. Which is just terrible. The whole thing would work better if the two movies were reversed. But then there is the little Godzilla issue. They should have just nerfed MechaG.
Koloth I read somewhere that mogera was made from the remnants of mechaG so it is not necessarily an upgrade.
@@josephbekin Then they should make that clear in the movie. I dislike the use of beta canon to explain inconsistencies in a story. They clearly showed how biolante and MechaG were plausible in the Heisei era. It would have added less than a minute to the movie to explain how they developed Mogera.

@@andrewhancock1738 He's faster, quicker and way more agile. Needing to be recharged is only a hindrance if he can't end the fight quickly. Kiryu had Godzilla beat a couple of times but then the spirit of the old Godzilla took over. Without the drawback, Kiryu can win, overall, pretty quick as long as it's being piloted by a good pilot. Plus the White Herons can recharge him on the fly and add extra firepower.
Jake Saathoff let nots forget that Kiryu is 50 meters and mg2 is 120 meters. ‘Mg2 brushed off Godzilla’s attacks like it was nothing and absorbed it and could use the plasma grenade. I think Kiryu is better at melee but that’s really it

Not gonna lie, that's a pretty dumb reason.
I always hated this character. A big lumbering literally soulless Kaiju who offered nothing and presented one of the most boring "beam spam" fights in the franchise's history. Both the Showa Mechagodzilla and Kiryu were far FAR better executions of the Mechagodzilla concept than this walking gun was.

Dennis Williams mechgodzilla 2s creation makes more sense than the original mg, the og mg just came out of nowhere with random aliens with no explanation, while mg2 justifies his existence by being made my the parts of mecha king ghidorah and is the center point of the film. And no shit mg2 is soulless, he’s a robot. The og mg is soulless. Mg2 actually killed Godzilla which no other version of mg could do.
