I just wanna point out that many of the Magnus Chase characters are, in fact dead. Magnus dies in the first few chapters & the story takes place in Valhalla (Nordic heaven for warriors)
I would recommend The Art Of Being Normal. It's about a trans girl that is trying to figure out how to come out, and it totally made me cry at one point, it's heartwarming.
I wish you all the best, it’s a book abt a non binary protagonist and it’s just so cute and happy. There’s some parts that might hit harder than others but overall it’s really happy and cute. ✨
I'm definitely interested in reading these books! Also I'd love to reccommend "In Other Lands" by Sarah Rees Brennan - one of my fave books of all time abt kids basically going to an alternate universe sorta magic school. It's a little more on the serious side but definitely no one dies and it's very fun!
I read Simon vs. the Homosapiens agenda. 10/10 book it tugged at my little bisexual weeb heart, with references to Yoai, Drarry, and other things that I’m not gonna say for spoiling reasons
One of my favourites is The Falling In Love Montage by Ciara Smyth! The blurb is: -The Meet Cute- (The Falling in Love Montage) -Big Fight- -Hero Realises They're Wrong- -Grand Gesture- -Happily Ever After- Saoirse has a simple plan for the long hot summer before uni: party, watch horror movies and forget all her troubles by kissing girls. Between getting over her ex and dealing with the pain of her mum's Ilness, Saoirse feels like she deserves a break. Enter the scene: Ruby, romcom fan and optimist. Ruby is the prettiest girl Saoirse's ever seen, but Saoirse doesn't want to get into another relationship. So Ruby challenges her to try a summer romance with the serious parts left out, just like in the movies. But what happens when the falling in love montage ends?
WAIT- Is a reference to the book They Both Die At The End in a way? It has bisexual and homosexual characters, and of course, as the title suggests, they both die at the end.
OOO!! Theres also a book called The Gravity of Us about a boy who has to leave everything behind but meets his famous crush while dealing with becoming famous himself!!
The Magnus Chase Chronicles were actually the books that helped me realise genderfluid was not only an option, but the right label for me! So yeah highly recommend any and every book by Rick Riordan (but his latest ones, after the Percy Jackson series, tend to have more representation).
I read Simon Vs The Homosapiens agenda and found it solid! Simon seemed very real to me and the emphasise on his struggles to come out rather than friends and family's reactions themselves is to be applauded. The ending is rushed but great otherwise! However, Leah On the Offbeat wasn't a delight for me. Someone may relate to her case, but unfortunately, for me, her lack of ability to stop and think of other people's emotions wasn't really pleasant. I felt she was written Bi without the author ever having plans for her to be so until fans mentioned it. Her rep isn't fantastic, in my opinion However, if it's someone's comfort book for an LGBT read, respect and that's cool
i would recommend Dreadnought, it’s a book about a trans superhero with a really cute message. i personally had to stop reading it because of a transphobic character in the book, but overall it is a really terrific read.
Lily and Dunkin by Donna Gephart is a great story about struggling with one's trans identity in a pre-adult world, and as far as I can remember no one dies :)

This date me Bryan Keller books sounds like a very clear rip off of a Japanese manga called Seven Days.... I loved that manga so I will probably still read this one, but feels a bit bleh that the author copy and pasted the premise of an already existing story

Well, yes, but they don’t _die_ die.
The point is they're not written out of the story

Sure is!
Me reading the title and getting severe depressing flashbacks from “They both die at the end”
I'm not a big book worm, but I'm thinking of just getting one of these.
But I've been looking for graphic novel ones though lols
one hundred nights of hero is a great lgbt graphic novel! www.penguin.co.uk/books/1101472/the-one-hundred-nights-of-hero/9780224101950.html?&

if you search our videos for lgbt or pride we have quite a few recommendation/analysis videos! :)
