I am a gay 26 year old man who has never read a book, well not since high school, and I really want to start reading more. I have read countless Wattpad stories and I think I’ve read all of the good MxM ones on the app, I can’t find any that I haven’t read, so I want to venture into “real” books and see what they’re all about. I will definitely be buying a few off your list. Thanks for the recommendations.
I am one picky mfer. The pretentious canonical english enthusiast in me is not easily satisfied, but Aristotle and Dante had me floored. Read it in one night. Top 3 books I’ve ever read.
@@bookspastbedtime i think you definitly have to read captive prince if you're into enemies to lovers and royal tropes that treat deep and sensitive subjects. I chose my next read from your video♡
I've only read the first two on your list but I really want to read some more, especially. call me by your name, carry on (Drarry FTW😤), and the raven boys. My favourite m/m romance definitely has to be the Song of Achilles (one of my favourite books of all time). Also, love your channel, just subscribed!!
Thank you so much!! 💞 I love Song of Achilles, too! It just barely missed being included on this list! Also, very happy to meet another Drarry shipper because... yes. Just yes. 😂
Aristotle and Dante is the book you jus feel love for like a long time and will be a favorite for a long time like when you see the book you're heat will melt Love simon i like the movie better Autoboyography is one of the first MM book I read and jus understood it deeply and my heart was racing most of the time it's innocent . .
I REALLY need to read these! My favorite m/m romances are Out of Character, Conventionally Yours, The Place Between, (and of course-) Red White and Royal Blue!
Great recs! 💕 I wasn’t sure if I would like Carry On but you’re convincing me its worth it. I’ve wanted to read Aristotle and Dante for ages. Also, I freaking love Ronan 🙌
Great list, I've read most of them, but not Autoboyography. Definitely going to give it a shot :) Have you read Him by Elle Kennedy & Sarina Bowen? I loved that one soooo much!
ooh! I haven't heard of that one - i'll have to look it up and add it to my tbr! would love to know what you think of any of these when you get around to picking them up!! 💖
M/M romance stories is my favourite sub-genre too! You've mentioned so many of my all time favourite books (I would die for Elio in a heartbeat 😂). And the two books that I haven't read are now on my list! I'm so glad I found your channel! A M/M series you might enjoy is "Wolfsong" 😊
Honestly, I would die for Elio right alongside you! Glad you got some recs! I have Wolfsong on my tbr already! I’ll move it up on the list - can’t wait to get to it now!! Thanks for watching ☺️
Omg I’m reading Aristotle and Dante Rn!! I’m getting super into it and it’s so beautifully told and written. I also love that it’s narrated by Lin Manuel Miranda!
What If It's Us by Becky Albertalli and Adam Silvera is a fun read. 📙😃 Allow me to have a copy of the book and I will add my TBR jar and if my TBR jar will make me pick it, then I will read it. 📖😁
I’m a gay male and I’ve been reading since I was a kid but about a year or so since I started picking up some gay mm books and was shocked about how many women read MM romance. On my goodreads app almost all the reviewers are females ob mm books. No hate here just been curious why there is such a huge fan base for mm by mainly straight females ?
so personally i'm not a straight female and i myself read every iteration of queer fiction - i'm not super picky. what's always drawn me to m/m in the past, or w/w for that matter, is the equality of the relationship. there's not as much room for weird power imbalances, etc, so more things can be explored without that being an issue. I'm sure there are some straight women out there reading it for the wrong reasons, but i think it feels like a safe place for a lot of women to explore their sexuality while staying one step removed if that makes sense? idk, that's just my take on it! but am always open to consider differing opinions/evidence!
@@bookspastbedtime thank you for you’re answer. I hope I didn’t sound rude it’s just a thought 💭 I had while scrolling through some comments on books on goodreads this weekend and noticed most were from women. I do see now about the power dynamic (I read one male female romance and the woman usually couldn’t do anything without the man to help her make decisions or validate her). Subbed :)
@@ARpirateant I didn’t think you were being rude at all!! Sorry if I came off as defensive - I didn’t mean to! It’s something I think about too so just had a lot to say 😂 thanks for subbing! much appreciated! ☺️
I’m 26 and I’m a bisexual young man I’m looking to read some M/M romances I’m completely new to the genre Carry on sounds like something I would read and enjoy are there any more book recommendations?
Ohhh my goshh! I read Aristotle and dante discover the secrets of the universe. I found myself in many of parts of the book❤Thoigh there was some stuff i didn't like about it ( I skipped a lot of pages coz I feel the author was only talking the same stuff over and over) but generally It was really a great book❤ I am way like youu btw, I like romanceee books. So yeah we "High fiving*😂❤
Yay! Yes romance is the best! Aristotle & Dante is such a beautiful book! It's honestly been forever though since I've read it & I haven't liked many of the author's other books for some reason! 🤷🏼♀️
@@bookspastbedtime Yeahhh I feel youuuu! But I didn't readdd other books for him as well maybe coz I am not into reading many books for the same author lol! I likee to read very diversified books😂❤
I've heard good things about the Green Creek series by TJ Klune if you're looking for werewolves! And I'm pretty sure the Black Dagger Brotherhood series (vampires) has a M/M pairing in some of the later books! Those are the only ones I can think of off the top of my head, but maybe someone else will chime in with more recommendations down below!
Imo, some books by Alice Winters have amazing MM paranormal romances, for example the Demon Magic. They're not awfully long but they're hilarious and sweet 🌈💗

there's also, generally, a refreshing lack of toxic masculinity in m/m romance, which i'm sure many women find appealing 😂
