When I saw your title, I thought how unusual it would be for an Aldi's to close. Glad to hear it hasn't and just moved to a new building. They probably own it which is preferable to leasing space. We just got an Aldi's here a couple of years ago. I don't think JC Penney will go out completely, but I think they will restructure through a bankruptcy filing. As said below, they still have many stores doing very well, but they need to close the ones that are virtually empty.
It's wonderful to know this Aldi didn't close out ! I think you have great ideas ! We could always use the news as to what is going on. Great work, keep going with it ! Have a blessed evening
@@pilotgrrl1 it was a treat when I was a kid to come up here. I loved the fact that it is a two story mall, but these are harder to film than one story malls. This weekend I'm going to refilm a couple of scenes and there is a little treat on the former Carson's building that I want to emphasize.
JCPenney is headquartered where I live now. There's a big mall near me that I ought to go to and check out the JCPenney there, see how it looks. I haven't been there in 5-6 years (when the guy from Apple was running the company). It was pretty messy, but not dirty, back then.
That's one I will do next. This is one of my core childhood malls I went to and frequented. The penneys design on that mall was a common one in the late 70s. Moline, Champaign, and decatur have that at my building.
Glad Aldi's didn't leave a neighborhood without a grocery store!

I'm not sure how close you live to there but my prayers 🙏 are with the people of Aurora tonight. May God bless and comfort you all.
I live east of the fox river. This happened on the southwest part of town. It was definitely a shock to hear. Thank you for the prayers.

Good video. Thanks for filming. Hope you post the Fox Valley Mall.
Probably next week it'll be posted.
Please post Fox Valley, I spent a lot of time there in its heyday.

@@mallaholicretailadventures So much nicer than Yorktown before they renovated and they had Lord & Taylor like Oakbrook Center.
Nice video!
