It’s true except weirdly none of them do. I communed with the council of Sixos and we’re unanimously aligned on the subject

I found the target masters to be a surprisingly fun little toy in their own right!

I absolutely love this guy! Fully agree on his robot mode, though funnily I'm of a rather opposite opinion when it comes to the tank and Targetmasters! The tank mode looks silly, certainly, meeting only the marks of "treads" and "turret", but the process of getting there is so enjoyable I don't really register those issues. Plus, it feels fantastic to hold and has an adorable shape. On the other hand, I could not care less for the Targetmasters. I'm not complaining that they kept them simple considering how just. Not Fun the Siege renditions are, but they're not really a gimmick that adds anything for me, and the pegs weren't properly sized for the added paint, so plugging them into either each other or Quake causes stress marks, further dwindling any potential enjoyment. All that said, incredible video as always!

To be so real with you I love this thing and it’s tank mode considering where it came from, Quake here is a huge remold/rework of the Skullgrin mould, and honestly? Comparing the two “tank” modes this one is like comparing gold to gravel

This is one of my favorite figures at the moment I can’t lie.

Missing out a silver outline for the insignia was incredibly stupid.
I also think he should have had his lightning bolt deco added to the turret, I don't care about budget, they are simple little additions.
His tank mode grew on me from the pics, I don't mind it. You can tell it's a tank due to it's key elements - turret and tracks. It does look better than Skullgrin's mode.
And when you think how substantial his remolding is along with having unique targetmasters for himself all in one box, it's a nice tight package.
I do really like this figure. Quake was my favourite double target master as a kid… but I do wish the colours were more muted. It kinda clashes now it’s more vibrant. I miss the dark navy and maroon brown. I feel like it’s so close and I don’t mind the alt mode. It just dos t hit as well as I hoped. I’m glad you enjoyed him though
He looks great next to Needlenose in robot mode.

OK yeah, the tank mode is iffy and with the limited rotation on the turret... but my guess is they were trying to make it look like a *tank destroyer*

Was going to skipped him but I preorder that WnD Spinister and Topspin pack and I still kept hold of Needlenose.

I was greatly amused by this guy when I got him in hand myself, even enjoying the eused engineering from Skullgrin they used. yes he's a big stonkin box of a Tank, but I honestly don't mind that due to the cleverness of the leg transformation. of course, now that they've completed the Decepticon Double Targetmasters, we have to round out the Autobot Double Targetmasters sometime soon 😁

I love quake. I think I’ve transformed him more that I have 86 Optimus
It feels like they have tried to make the robot as generic as possible, and so even with a fun transformation there just are not really any signature tank aspects even in the mode that is supposed to be a tank. He looks fine in robot mode but aside from subtle tread legs, there isn't any kibble or anything that would tell you what he transforms into.... even the turret on the back is absolutely minimal, and that means that the alt mode doesn't have a lot to work with to show what it is.
I love the robot mode, looks really good from all angles. The tank mode is too tall and dumpy looking. Definitely one to be displayed in robot mode!

I agree that the robot mode is gorgeous! But that tank mode...WTF hahaha! I will say that the "it's just as crappy as the originals" approach to the targetmasters doesn't really appeal to me like it does to you, but different strokes for different folks. I may still get this figure and I'll just use the targetmasters as guns. I think Quake would look good with a big more gold, which I can add myself!
Great review Sixo!!! Quake is surprisingly a vast improvement compared to Skullgrin. lol He looks fantastic standing besides Needlenose and Spinster. Keep on being amazing.

Figures like this make me miss vehicle mode first design. Sure the robot looks good but is it really worth it when it's a generic box guy turning into nothing? Especially me being a big tank fan we so rarely get decent ones. The last really good ones that aren't a H tank were the movie Brawls and before that , PCC Heavytread.
Yeah, this is pretty lacklustre in tank mode to say the least. It is a shame as the robot is so good!
The tank looks terrible in photos and videos. In person, it looks so bad that it's great and I love it.

His mould mate Skullgrim is the same , great robot mode great accessories but meh alt mode . I'm a targetmaster , headmaster and micromaster tragic so Quake was an "I must get" anyway
Quake feels light and/or cheap to hold though. The tank mode isn't great either. The Targetmasters could have had basic articulation (legs clip together, etc) and still retained the same basic transformation and the colour-map isn't great for the new figure. Overall, it's 'ok' but not a great figure.

I'm not sure I ever had any original targetmasters but even if I did I simply don't remember them while I absolutely remember all the headmasters namely for one actual reason. They're Transformers. The targetmasters are just little cut out guys that may as well and in fact would be better to my mind if they were just guns. The little man on the bottom just looks silly.
Adds nothing to the aesthetic of the weapon. Takes away if anything.
I like this figure honestly and if it wasn't a brick masquerading as a tank I'd shut up about the targetmasters also being bricks with a cut out guy stuck to the bottom like a sarcophagus... Although that's some fitting irony right there not to mention the metaphor of the sarcophagus we all climb into, figuratively speaking, when we pick up a weapon to use against one another.
