If you heat that corrugated hose on each end with a heat gun(preferable) or hair dryer (if that's all you got) it will slide right up on those fittings alot easier.
I also like to tinker on projects over the weekend. I have built a bunch of attachments and such. We are looking at making a hydro seeder currently this video was super great!
Very well done & documented! AND like *DIRT BOSS* does things on video, you both do it ALL *CANDID* which is a HUGE benefit to those wanting to do the same. *CUDOS* to you for building your own system. SURE it costed you money but you will get that back and be thankful you CAN use your hands! THANKS!
I know it would probably cost more but instead of cutting the cage you could build a mounting plate for the motor and pump. Then dismount the motor from the cage put the cage aside and if the motor and pump breaks before the warranty is up you're not screwed.
Just priced out a similar parts list for the manifold fittings, valves, and hose fittings.. $900 sound right? Running the same pump as you, 500 gallon tank on a skid. Plumbing it similarly to turboturfs 500 gallon jet with (2) 2” jet hoses fed to the bottom of the tank and 1 1/4” spray hose.
Hey I have a hydroseeder that is built almost identical to yours, my question is when you get done with a tank load do you have material left over in the tank? I was thinking of putting my intake hose to the pump on the bottom so it gets material, was just curious how yours does on that aspect thanks
Yes, I will have some stuff on the bottom, but I put mine in the back of the dump truck and I just lift the body up a little bit and it all runs out the end . I used to put it on the trailer and crank the front stand all the way up high.
Hello, it’s interesting that you had a big amount of trouble trying to get the pump started, as I have the same engine only fitted as a power washer and my heart sinks every time I have to beg it to start, without me having a heart attack!
You should make the deck out of aluminum dimond plate that way you can just wash it off have you thought about buying a small trailer To build this on and pull with a truck? On a trailer you would have room to store new seed and more pellets just add water dump your pellets and seed into tank mix and your ready to lay down the green. I want to make a small home use unit to pull with a lawn tractor and fill in bare spots. I bought the pellets and was going for a dry mix but the pellets really need to be wet to use dry they don't spread out.
I built it to go In The back of the truck so I can pull the skidsteer on the trailer. That way I don’t have to make 2 trips. Problem with aluminum is the fertilizer is highly corrosive. So it is cheaper to replace the wood deck. Thanks for watching!
I have to come back home to fill it . I tried to fill it at that gravel pit once with their 2” hose but there was too much sediments and clogged the pump . There water has to be clean

It’s all relative to the market in your area. I also don’t know what you’re paying for supplies in your area. I know a lot of guys charge anywhere from $.11-$.18 per square foot. I charge by the package job and not by the square foot.
@@frankyemiranda1164 guys around here are charging an average of $.15 per square foot . I don’t do just spray jobs so it would depend on the rest of the project on the acre lot

nice upgrade. well done.

awesome job STEVE like always💯💯

"It's spiral, like a ham." 😅😅
Good stuff Steve!
Take a heatgun to hoses before putting them on barbed fittings, also tape and paste fittings old school trick a lot of plumbers use

Hey Steve try silicone spray for the hose works good
I will try it . Thanks for watching!

Sounds about right. It’s been a few years since I bought the parts .
what kind of hose do you(on the reel) and where did you buy the ball valves
The ball valve is from Home Depot and the hose I ordered off the Internet. It’s been so long. I don’t remember the website .

Apakah anda mengubah bagian dalam part mesin nya..?seperti hal nya impeler (kipas) penggerak nya..?
What direction do the mixing jets point inside the tank?
They shoot across the bottom . I found that works best for her, stirring up anything that might settle to the bottom.

Yeah I I thought I was gonna have to return it 😳
What size hose are you using for the spray hose
1-1/4”

What size is the old fire hose? And how long is it?
I don’t know . The new hose is 1-1/4 200ft long
What’s the going rate for hydro seeding per acre?
Around here guys are doing it for .12-.18 Cent a square foot. I do mine as project packages and just by the tank loads
Steve, where did you get your tank
I bought it used off an old guy in town here
What does this setup cost roughly
I’m into it for around $3500. Now . I did buy the tank and hose real used off marketplace

English ?
@@DirtBrute Is there a part of the engine that has been specially modified for the impeller/fan so that it can produce high pressure?
@@thatakhun1519 no I just reduce the pipe at the nozzle which creates the pressure to spray
@@DirtBrute Does that mean the engine hasn't been modified at all? OK, thank you, nice to meet you here... nice to meet you and good luck...
