can you do a slid with braid

No unfortunately not - there is no stretch in the braid so your sinker pulls loose the whole time and the slide moves very slow on braid

Tried a non return on braid put my sinker out on low and had to wait for live bait so when i got the bait tied has turned coming in got the slide out an half hour later instant hit on the line when tried to set the hook it burnt off my braid (firts and last time i used braid there is no elasticity in brait to take the strain of the pull) love the info you give out i take notes. I fish every year the north coast got stuck at tugela love the fishing there if possible please head out and give some pointers please
