Mudlights have been a great go to tire for my ATVs for years. I now have a 2019 Polaris general with 30 inch black water evolution tires. They are a great all around tire. Decent in the mud but still a smooth running tire on the hard pack. I also have a set of 28 inch terminator tires mounted on another set of rims. They are absolutely amazing in the muskeg and deep mud. And run pretty smoothly on the hard trails but seem to wander a bit at speeds over about 70kph.
I recently bought a set of 28" mudlite II's for my Arctic Cat wildcat sport. I really like them so far. Your recommendation on the tires was a big factor in my purchase. Great videos.
I’d like it a lot and would like to see more of these from different manufacturers especially for the SXSs like right now I have several different tires for my Commanders from the stock tires that came on them up to 32” OutLaw 2s and 32” Black Mambas. Plus I’d like to know who we’ll they are lasting people using them as all around tires. I’ve got a set of OG OutLaw 29.5”s/w that I bought used back in 2007 for my 07 Yamaha Rhino and run it at MudCreek several times at MudNations plus several other smaller events through the years not to mention that I used it everyday on my Ranch with Locus thorn trees till 2012 when the trans cracked the housing and I put them on my 800 Commander with in 2 weeks of buying it and put over 2500 miles on them in 7 years till I bought some different tires to ride rocks hills in Tennessee and West Virginia
I have a 2022 Maverick Trail 1000 DPS. What is the biggest Terra Hooks you would suggest me to put on my stock rig without having to change anything? Thank you
Great in site to the world of ATV Tires. I'm looking to replace my tires on my 2 2019 570s . everything we looked at locally was almost extreme conditions, which is not my kind of riding. Still want that comfortable ride but still able to take up the challenges of trail riding. Any help would be appreciated. You guys do a great job at Dirt Trax giving novice riders luck us seem smart, Thanks.
So what kind of tires were on your outlander at the end of your segment the one with the camo on it? I believe your brother had the mic at end of your segment.
Hi DT. I would love your opinion on what tires I should go with on my Yamaha grizzly. I mainly ride the trails in between Stirling to Bancroft so Luke would know what I mean from his Tweed video from approximately 5 years ago. I should also tell you that unfortunately I have to take the pavement to get to the trail in Glen Ross for about 9km which drives me crazy. I do ride year round but not a whole lot in the snow. I'm getting to the point of doing to much research so I'm looking forward to your input. Keep up the great work! I've been watching since the start.
I have the XTR mud lite on my Pioneer for the last 5 years and 4500km later. The fronts are getting pretty worn but the rears are fine. I run pavement as well. The ride is definitely rougher due to the large lugs.
I have the Mudlite XTR on my RZR 800 trail. They go great and are long wearing with my heavy foot on hard pack, and stick infested mud. The first 2000km were problem free. I do agree the sidewalls are the tires weakness. I burst a side wall in a hill climb where I could not direct the tire off the path of a rock. I now run tubes because there is so much lug and tire left!
How about different price points? Suggested retail prices and explain average mounting and disposal costs for those not used to the present day system. Lets continue to be open and honest.
@@arickhook370 The 2 states I deal with charge $3 and $3.50 per tire for disposal and $10 per tire for mounting without balancing. I am aware that sizing affects pricing but comparing the same size tire across different brands is what I meant. I've never heard a customer ask about a tire without the price first. Let's say $100 to $150 tires and how many plies and what the tread is designed for, then add $50 per tire and compare them. As a great business man once said, An educated consumer is our best customer.

I have Cryptid’s on my 17 polaris sportsman 850 and Love Them!!
I had ITP’s on my Yamaha Rhino back in the mid 2000’s...great tires! But I now love my Bighorns on my YXZ!

I've had a set of mud lites on a quad for over 10 years.. If you store them inside out of the sun.. and stay off roads.. man do they last forever

Big fan of ITP Terra Cross tires for trail riding. They're durable and ride smooth. Great for all day riding.

Really like a more trail-oriented tire vs a mud tire. Something like an ITP Terracross or similar would be my suggestion for the Grizzly.

They are a great smooth running tire with good all around traction. But they have sidewalls that are known to puncture a bit easier than some others.

You pay people to mount and dispose your ATV tires? Prices depend on size, but on average the prices on these aren't bad at all.

Absolutely, but trade off's with those more agressive tires aswell, weight, ride quality, price, versatility etc.
