  • GBC Dirt Commander 2.0 SXS Tire Test Review. The Dirt Commander 2.0 from GBC, is their second generation Dirt Commander. The original Dirt Commander tire remains highly popular among SXS and ATV enthusiasts due to their solid performance across varying conditions, long wearing design and good value. The Dirt Commander 2.0s were developed with the added weight and horsepower of modern side-by-sides in mind. They were developed in cooperation with Yamaha, for use in their SXS lineup. This backed the 2.0’ design with OEM dollars and product testing in addition to GBC’s extensive in-house testing.

    These are great all-terrain tires. Test rider Eric Jones likes them enough that he's already said installing them on his new 2022 machine. Looking forward to your questions and comments. Please subscribe!

    Good review. 👍 Yes these are very good tires. They came stock on my Yamaha X2 and do very well on the trail riding, light mudding that we do. Have 500 miles on them and they hardly have any wear and a lot of that is hard surface riding getting to the trails.

    Wish GBC would make the Grim Reaper tire non-directional for easy rotation or for a spare tire, so you don't have to put the spare on backwards. Non-directional like the ITP Blackwater Evos. That's why I like the Maxxis Carnivores, light wight, non-directional, 8-ply, and good lug spacing and sidewall bite for the occasional mud hole.

      Yeah we also like non directional tires for every reasons you pointed out. However, non directional tires often perform better in mud or sand, We wonder if GBC would give up performance if they made the grim reaper non directional.

      @@outdooradventurechannel425 ruclips.net/video/6aH9TjsR5F0/видео.html Went and checked it out. Lots of good info. There are a lot of tires out there that will fit on 4x4 SXS and ATVs. People on quads will go buy them because they like the way they look even though they weigh a ton and kill performance. Like you pointed out there are tires out there that appear like they would work well on a SXS but their load rating is more in line with an ATV.

      @@UTVonDemand yes it was an eye opener to me. I thought a tire was a tire! Not so much in the world of large sxs.

      Yeah these came stock on my Yamaha Wolverine X2 and they seem to work pretty good. I have the 1.0 not the 2.0.👍

    What’s the recommended tire pressure?

    How would you compare these to the XTR370s?

    • @UTVonDemand
      @UTVonDemand  2 года назад

      If those System 3 tires perform similar to the Maxxis Carnivore, the GBC's offer a bit more side bite and feel a bit more stable. They don't absorb small bumps quite as well though.
