This is a good podcast! 100% agree that daily digestive issues leads to anxiety and depressive mood. Getting at the root cause is so important and yet elusive for many of us. Some of the symptoms overlap with other conditions for example, histamine intolerance, MCAS. SIBO, long Covid/Dysautonomia.
I am so glad to have found your podcast. Trust me I listen to lots of podcasts. I also do lots of research and fact-checking. You guys are bar none the best podcast of this type. Tyvm
I signed up to the Nerva programme and it was better than IBS meds for me. It is a 6 week programme of guided “hypnosis” with access for a year. After 3 months my symptoms are largely gone and I am gradually reintroducing the foods that used to be trigger.
Since April 1st I am on a vegetarian diet because of my angina problems. To my surprise my IBS, which was mostly a diarrhea type IBS, almost completely disappeared. I hope it stays this way.
Wouldn't it be wise to caution against the effects that peppermint oil can have on the lower esophageal sphincter (LES), it can weaken the sphincter over time leading to other issues like reflux and gerd, by treating one issue you could be creating another
I make a 40 species tropical fruit leaf tea which has had profound effects on my gut health, overall health and mood🐸the terpenoid Limonene has been shown to have beneficial effects on IBS❤️thank you🐸
I've got ibs C, diagnosed. I was prescribed councilling and was very skeptical, but it really really helped! Really really. If i have brocoli, which i love, it doesnt do me any favours, and cauliflower i never have. Dreadful. I use enima bags a few times a year, and mag07 which is a very good brand of magnesium, i take it at night and it is very effective.
Hey! i love you guys at ZOE, but i just need to ad that i cannot find any video when you guys are speaking about Thiamine and how important it seems to be for your stomach to heal for someone that does not have problems specifically with IBS. What can be the reason for this? I am asking because i had problems with my stomach for 10 months, and when i realised that a thiamine deficiancy was behind it, absolutely everything healed.
I have been focussed on knowing what’s causing my problem. It’s frustrating ….. I’ve been to several doctors and even a professor that just fob me off. Finally I’m working out the reason for my constipation but also my pain. I often feel like one step forward two backward. Thank goodness for RUclips & the hundreds of hours I’ve watched to help me be better
My anxiety after my SIBO gut infection was treated dramatically improved! They thought I had anxiety and IBS which in reality was SIBO. I'm certain microbiomes and anxiety are linked.
For your anxiety I suggest you look into vitamin B1 and the vagus nerve stimulation treatments which are effective . Lowering stress walking in the daytime by the sun helps
@@theancientsancients1769 Yes, but that's just a tool so they each know when to start or stop talking...sort of, I'm throwing it back to you, so and so. Not the same as what this guy does with all his Jonathoning.

@@sassenspeyghel4155 I have no idea. I still do eat fats, olive oil mainly. Didn’t expect it, vut diarrhea almost gone
Childhood antibiotics-and high anxiety--there’s got to be a link and as I parent, I feel so bad that I did this to my child-so many ear infections.
Thank you, this is very helpful.

Does taking laxido affect microbiome?

What do you guys think of sulfuraphane supplements?
Do Not Age have an excellent third party tested one . If you can't eat it you can try as supplement form
They still don’t know anything about microbiome having an impact in one’s life and even my anxiety has been blamed. 😢
Blimey.

I can't stand how he keeps saying "Jonathon." We know the guy's name. It's an annoying habit, and very patronizing.
Well that’s his name 😂
I don't see anything annoying or patronizing in using a name regularly in a short broadcast like this.
Its an American thing 😂 Even in their live news broadcast they start with the name and end with the name when talking to a reporter
Not sure about patronising, but certainly irritating. A shame as it detracts from his interesting message.
