Praying she is ok. How precious are our elderly parents. So glad mine are in Heaven now and don't have to worry about taking or not taking this covid 19 vaccine. Pfizer is still not fully revealing everything it. So many code blues, code strokes in my hospital. Never have I heard many that seem to cluster at the time of the vaccinations.. it is just unfathomable. The list of side affects that pfizer has kept from the public and tried to keep for 75 years... we have to question. Please question. Why have so many athletes died from March 2021 to 2022. At least 769 dropped dead from heart attacks etc. I know of a few young people who have died in their sleep not long after the covid vaccine. I know of several people affected negatively after this intervention. Please ask why and be open and transparent. Please tell us why these horrific things are happening? Please research the athletes and then give us a talk on That.
My parents are above 70 years of age. They have had two Sinopharm vaccines and two Pfizer boosters. Last booster was in November 2021. They got a Covid infection in early July. They are traveling to Dubai to meet relatives after 3 years. We don’t have the bivalent booster in the country where I live. Are my parents safe and should they wait?Or should they get another regular Pfizer booster?
Dr Risinger, I appreciate you taking the time to update the community regarding all the data, facts. I have a question re the vaccines. I am a 44 yr old who had covid infection in Jan2022& again in July 2022. I haven't been vaccinated. Then in Sept I had hyper immue system flare up and was diagnosed with Long Covid. Still recovering from this. Do you think I should get vaccinated? If so which one would you recommend? How much longer should I wait since I had covid in July? Hope to hear from you. Thanks!

Thank you for this great video Dr. Risinger you’re the best! I’ve had two Pfizer primary shots, and two booster Moderna shots. My husband is a Veteran so the VA encourages the spouse to get vaccinated when the Veteran does in order to protect the Veteran (he’s 71) So on Oct. 1 we are going to get the BIVALENT booster shot - he’s going to get the Pfizer booster and I will get the Moderna booster. Been about 6 months since our last booster. Neither one of us has had Covid-19. I just turned 64 today.
Dang it. It's been mentioned everywhere including 'fact checked' sources that these do not stop the spread!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
But they have admitted that the shots will not prevent you from getting it or spreading it so you getting the vax to protect someone else makes no sense.
At 84 I've had 4 Moderna shots, and what I believe was Covid 19- Omicron, probably 2 months ago, but the home tests registered negative. I am planning to get the Moderna Bivalent Booster, but can't find it yet in my area. Should I wait or get the pfizer shot?
Also Ironically I got my first booster the same time as you December 2021, only to get the bivalent as the second booster in September and then get covid, recovered but stuck in quarantine. It was the pfizer one so either the shot didn't produce enough antibodies to stop infection entirely or it didn't have enough time since I presented symtoms of mild , common cold like covid a few days later, same with my mom who is over 65 but she too has mild symptoms and thankfully my dad has mild symptoms around the same age as my mom but because he got covid ironically maybe spreading it to us he wasn't able to get the shot. I wonder how long he should wait for the booster and should we try to find the moderna booster instead for him? I can't wait til more studies happen I'd love to get more information on hybrid immunity with ba5 post bivalent booster to see how long this last especially if somehow a new booster comes down the pipeline later next year when we would be asked or debated on whether to take.
Great presentation. Question for you Dr. If a person older than 65 had both Moderna shots and the Moderna booster yet still got Covid what would your recommendation be? Thank you for your consideration?
Hi there! If you’ve had a documented COVID infection then it would be fine to wait 6 months before a booster. And by then hopefully we will have more booster data. Thanks for watching!

60 yr old guy , BMI 25, slight hypertension, Celiac, no meds. Last Vit D level was at 55. I evaded the virus for 2.5 yrs. Unmasked since last Pfizer boost in Nov '21 (3rd shot). No reaction at all from any of the 3. My antibodies have been high through last month at 4,000 (tested on my own 3x thru Labcorp) even though my last boost was a year ago. Tested positive on Mon 10/17. Not sure where or how I got it. Slight nasal cong & weakish taste/smell. No cough, sneeze, fever, headache, dizzies, or sore throat ever presented. Now on day 6 and feel pretty dang good although still positive on the strip as of this morning. My doc suggested to not take Paxlovid, and I never did. Just two Tylenol Sinus tablets one time and 2x a day nasal rinses is all I've done over 6 days. Never got the 4th Pfizer boost this past summer and was on the fence about the new bivalent when I caught this. I guess I have another 90 days to think about it. By then, another vax will probably come out. Will for sure look at the upcoming data but have to think a nasal vaccine could prove best when available. Have not had the flu or even a cold since I was 16 so this is really pissing me off, but very thankful my symptoms are what they are.
When I saw where you had gotten your healthy children vaccinated I lost a lot of respect for you. I can’t believe anyone would allow their child to be given something that hasn’t been tested any more than this vaccine has.

It's the lack of testing for B and T cells that worries me. I had Covid (I assume Omicron BA1) only two months after a Pfizer booster, then a another (BA 4.5) 10 months after that. the second infection was much milder than the first (though that was pretty mild too) I assume the B cells from the first infection lasted longer than antibodies from the booster, but how would anyone know without testing? I am going to assume that the recent infection will keep me safe over the winter.
No, you need the bivalents right away. You are in grave danger, as this is a pandemic of the unvaccinated. And you are not fully vaxxed. I am a healthy, retired RN, BMI 20. I had two Pfizer’s, but only one month apart as that was the initial guidance. I am a healthy 37 year life long jogger with absolutely spotless health history except that I had long covid symptoms after contracting covid 10 months after the first two doses of Moderna. One week after being diagnosed with covid in December of 2021, I started experiencing chest pain. The chest pain could not be explained medically by various tests done at the ED and also a cardiologist that I saw who also ordered an array of different tests including CT of the heart. The chest pain gradually went away in 4 months but it was quite traumatizing. It took me about 6 months to get back to my normal jogging routine. What would your recommending be for a person like me ? I have not had any additional covid shots or covid infection since December 2021 and I did not have any major side effects from the first two shots of Moderna other than fever and fatigue lasting 1-2 days.
@@AngelinaX23 Thanks for your snarky comment. I’m looking for something more factual and evidence based. Covid-19 vaccines reduce your likelihood of contracting covid by X percent, and therefore reduce your likelihood of getting long covid in the first place. Also, there are many studies that show some reduction in long covid among vaccinated individuals that do end up contracting covid.
@@Matys1975 Can't answer that but people do have ongoing health problems that produce the same kind of symptoms prior to this covid debacle. My youngest child is one of them. Btw young people are dropping.
Would you suggest your father gets his antibodies checked again before getting a booster? Suppose he’s had a COVID infection but was asymptotic because of the vaccine and his antibodies are now higher than before. That would go against the narrative. Its also un-scientific, who ever heard of having a control group when studying something. Science, science, science. You can't question science.
Is it true that this booster data was based on the results of testing it on 8-12 mice? Is there any history of testing a product line for human on 8-12 mice then concluding it’s safe and effective for human use? How has the Pfizer clinical data been reviewed since the data is still being produced under the federal courts document production Why are we schedule that forced Pfizer to disclose the clinical data that the EUA was based upon? That production started in Feb and won’t finish for 5 more months. How can one know the clinical trial was conducted properly? The Brooks whistleblower lawsuit indicated the clinical trial was very haphazard in its data was badly mishandled, yet the FDA granted the EUA then refused to release the clinical data for objective review.

Covid spreads rapidly, and it's more valuable to look into the future, rather than see the stats from the past. Bivalent's efficacy is only about a couple of months. The question should be WHEN to get the bivalent, if getting the bivalent. Bivalent's value is optimized when used immediately before major waves.

Just a bit of anecdote: I’m a 37 yo healthy, thin female without comorbidities. I was vaccinated J&J in March 2021 and a Moderna in November 2021. My husband contracted an extremely mild case COVID in December 2021 and gave it to our three children. I cared for them all, had two days of headache and body aches but never tested positive myself. I got an antibody test in late Feb 2022 and my antibody level was >2500. This August, my daughter came home with sniffles and tested positive, but nobody in in the family got it. Three weeks later, husband tested positive again-another round of mild symptoms. And again, I had two days of body aches and headache. EXTREMELY faint positive for my second symptomatic day, but then tested negative on rapid and PCR two days later. Antibodies as of this month are 899. Sure would be nice to know if I actually ever “had” COVID given the one day of faint positive or if my remaining antibodies fended it off before it became a full blown infection. I don’t believe I’ll be getting a booster.
You seem to be pushing Moderna, but my husband had the most horrendous reaction to his dose in July and was ill for 10 days. Locally we are only being offered Moderna, and I am in two minds whether to have this latest booster.
Thank you for giving the topic the nuance that it deserves. The data from the 8-10 mice really are not very impressive. It’s interesting that the UK & Canada authorized the bivalent formulated for BA.1, the one for which there are human data. I’m wondering who came up with the idea of telling the public they can get this just 2 months after the most recent shot and Im worried it will erode confidence in the public health system leading to reduced compliance on other immunizations
@@liza5532 that’s the idea and their intentions are good. The problem is that 1) SARS-CoV2 actually does not evolve as quickly as influenza.. it is much more stable so far, so there is no reason to think that we need annual updates. 2) Even the mouse data do not show a clear benefit. 3) cutting the dose in half in order to have two sequences adding up to a full dose does not make sense. 4) decreasing the minimum interval between shots to 2 months is crazy, given what we know about how spacing the shots more improves immunity

Still recovering from this. Do you think I should get vaccinated? If so which one would you recommend? How much longer should I wait since I had covid in July? Hope to hear from you. Thanks!

So on Oct. 1 we are going to get the BIVALENT booster shot - he’s going to get the Pfizer

Sorry to tell you but it doesn't and never did work, the purpose of a vaccine is prevention 😂
Wow! That is a lot of vaccine in a short time. I hope all is well.
Your gonna regret that vaccine.
At 84 I've had 4 Moderna shots, and what I believe was Covid 19- Omicron, probably 2 months ago, but the home tests registered negative. I am planning to get the Moderna Bivalent Booster, but can't find it yet in my area. Should I wait or get the pfizer shot?
You took that many and still got covid..somethings wrong..

Wow, you took 4 vaccines?...why? You are young and seem to be healthy.
Just because someone is educated doesn't mean they are smart.
The shot suppresses immunity for 2 weeks after. That’s why they say it works best between 2 weeks and 4 months after the shot.

Is it true that this booster data was based on the results of testing it on 8-12 mice? How has the Pfizer clinical data been reviewed since the data is still being produced under the federal courts document production Why are we schedule that forced Pfizer to disclose the clinical data that the EUA was based upon? That production started in Feb and won’t finish for 5 more months. How can one know the clinical trial was conducted properly?

Thank you for giving the topic the nuance that it deserves. The data from the 8-10 mice really are not very impressive. I’m wondering who came up with the idea of telling the public they can get this just 2 months after the most recent shot and Im worried it will erode confidence in the public health system leading to reduced compliance on other immunizations
Of course, it is always pharmaceutical recommendation and the FDA advisory committee is no better than the rest. Follow order ...
Not being honest certainly won't help the vaccines complaiance in the future
I’ve heard that is like the flu shot updates annually. Only tested in mice, not human trials before the flu shots come out.
@Moe ErmotzI will never be fooled again
@@liza5532 that’s the idea and their intentions are good. The problem is that 1) SARS-CoV2 actually does not evolve as quickly as influenza.. it is much more stable so far, so there is no reason to think that we need annual updates. 2) Even the mouse data do not show a clear benefit. 3) cutting the dose in half in order to have two sequences adding up to a full dose does not make sense. 4) decreasing the minimum interval between shots to 2 months is crazy, given what we know about how spacing the shots more improves immunity
