Thank you for this detailed and practical tutorial! I was tasked with cleaning, hair refresh and new outfits for our local library's collection of 16 American Girl dolls. They lend out the dolls with the accompanying books and the dolls needed to be refurbished. To my dismay, two of the dolls had legs that had frayed cording and their legs came off completely! I'm so grateful for your video that showed me how to deal with the problem. The legs are back on now and I can add limb replacement to my AG resume!
Can use 550 parcord the stuff for paracprd blankets? I don't have the extra money for the restringing set that everyone uses. Just wounding? Would elastic from the sewing department that's the right size?
Just curious, but I accidentally made a small cut in the torso fabric around the neck about a quarter inch on my wife’s, just like you number 10 doll. How should we repair it?
Same question someone else had, what brand is your crimper and where can it be purchased. Great video, going to try this and see if it works for me!! Thanks!!

Thanks Jasmine!
How can I fix a leg if the plastic cup piece is not in the leg?
so how do you tighten the cord enough in the body so the arms and legs aren't too floppy - skipped that
Hi Camille can we see your doll’s house??!!

This makes restringing look a lot less intimidating! I never thought of using hemostats for pulling the elastic up.
Where did you get the steel crimps and is there a certain size to use?
Very helpful! Thank you! 👍😍
You're welcome Yasmina!
