INXS is the soundtrack of my teenage years. That was a heartbreaking day when that beautiful, talented, sensitive man died.
He’s one the sexiest singer ever!!!! Finally you got to hear an underrated band!!!!
Except it was only half- “mediate was cut” per usual reaction.. saxophone and all!
Definitely not underrated, especially here in their home country, Australia. Huge in many many countries
Underrated? They were EVERYWHERE... HUGE! They were superstars until the day Michael died.
Fact you said "Is this an R& B band?" Is a huge compliment, because that is exactly the sound they were going for on this track. Very animated review by the way!
Some of the best shit ever to come out of Australia! RIP Michael. Respect ✊
Close. Ever heard of AC/DC!
@@rexy-qx5kyyeah I have
Michael INXS and AC/DC some of the best shit to come out of Australia, well for our ears anyway. Got more cleaning done listening to IN EXCESS (INXS) than any other band, Ramped the sound up house is gleaming in record time.
Love this band till this day. Saw them live in 1987. Grew up with them. Mourned the loss of Micheal Hutchin. They were the real thing, one of the best bands from Australia, besides The Bee Gees and AC/DC.
💯 truth right here!
I remember this video being all over MTV back in the day. Gotta check out Never Tear Us Apart.
That’s a good one for sure.
We did a metal cover of Never Tear Us Apart. It was brilliant .
I second that song suggestion. Mannn, I had worn my tape out, had to buy a new one, I played this so much!
My favorite !
I still look at Michael and think damn he’s a good looking guy. RIP
100%!!!!!
👍🏼❤️🤪
🔥❤😊
@@mattbecham3094 😂🤣😂
And what a goddamn shame the way he died.
I miss Michael Hutchence! May he RIP. Man, he died 24 years ago now.
Michael hutchenson was a serious playboy. Dated some of rhe most popular models in the world in the 80s and 90s before died. he was legend. And a dang good front man
Omg more INXS please!!! "Never Tear Us Apart" and "Devil Inside"
This band was ridiculously far ahead of their time.
I know this sounds so fresh! Great band.
Timeless song. If it was released today it would be a hit.
Always. ..
They are my favorite band ever own every album
True but they were an 80's band and 90's grunge bands (Nirvana, Pearl Jam) pushed them aside.
He was a stunning man. RIP Michael. I hope you finally found peace💔
“There’s something about you girl.... that makes me sweat!” Sexy as hell! I miss the 80s when sexy was fun instead of criminal.
Jim Morrison of the '90
Indeed…beautiful man, beautiful soul, amazing group and great music! I had a huge crush on him in middle school…gone too soon 😢
I live in Australia and I'm so used to INXS still being giant and all over the radio that it is odd to me, when you see or hear instances of people never having heard of them or their music.
He is also from a younger generation and listened to different genre of music is why.
All the ladies watching this are having front bottom flutters! 1of the sexiest men in rock Ever! lost at the height of his career, sadly missed, such charisma & style. RIP Mr H 💓 “Never tear us apart” next please x
"Never Tear Us Apart," for sure!!!! Also, check out "Suicide Blonde," "Devil Inside," and "New Sensation." There's soooo many great songs by INXS, and Michael Hutchence was drool-worthy. RIP, man, gone waaay too soon!
Devil Inside is especially groovy. Love that one.
“What you need” is a great song too
Oh Leo you are listening to my first crush! And I do mean very first because I was only 4 years old when this song came out. I want to add Disappear and Kiss the Dirt(falling down the Mountain).
I agree with you there Sarah. I am also partial to the Stairs.
I love Tear us apart
These guys have been together since they were teenagers (of course three of them are brothers) and really were/are a true band of brothers, not just another group. They were making music at home in the suburbs of Sydney, Australia and playing the gritty Aussie pub scene at a very early age.
Random story Michael joined up with them after an incident at school where Andrew saved Michael from a bully. Michael was the new kid at school, and for obvious reasons all the girls had a crush on him. So one of the school bullies went after Michael. Andrew stepped in, they became friends, and the rest is history.
I got in trouble when I was a kid, my 4 year old sister comes running out of our room singing "you make me SWEAT" LMAOOO my mom was like what in hell 😆
RIP Michael Hutchence, beautiful gorgeous man and artist but sadly a tortured soul. 🙏💔
Unfortunately a lot of the extremely talented musicians and singers tend to be. He left his mark though.
@@artdogg50 💯
He was so good.
😓💯❣️
In excess!!!! Now try "Never Tear Us Apart"
As in TOO much.
@Papa Brown. best song
@@boki1693 yes .in excess. And boy did he .lol
@Papa Brown. you must be talking about yourself because you certainly couldn’t be talking about Never Tear Us Apart
Yeah, never tear us apart is their 2nd best song.
I was waiting for a fella to slide over to me and tell me that I was one of his kind...finally happened when I was 53. He rocked my world...sure I married him! Still a remarkable romance 8 years later. I married the wrong man when I was 25. Life always gives you chances to start over.
I needed to hear this right now, T!
Congrats❤

If you watch one of their concerts, you’ll see what a great frontman Michael is. Remember watching Wembley with mates, all of us straight as an arrow, and every one of us felt affected by his sexual energy on stage. He was an absolute legend
Pronounced "In Excess" - they have great songs. Suicide Blonde and New Sensation are both excellent. Michael Hutchence had such an amazing voice. So sad to lose him so early.
New Sensatiton 💥💥💥💥
Michael Hutchence was so sexy! Love INXS
He actually got it right in some respect. In the 80's in Australia, they were actually called "The Inks" by many fans as a shorthand for the band (less syllables).
Michael Hutchence was so damn fine! I miss him, so upset when he died. ❤
It's pronounced " in excess" 👍😉 love this song and all your vids. Your energy is awesome!! 💜💜
the INXS at Wembley stadium videos show you the popularity of the band at their height. A great band and RIP Michael Hutchence one of the greatest singers.
Bright stars shine so briefly, but our lives are forever touched by them.
NEVER TEAR US APART!!!
I remember hearing about his death on the radio and I cried so hard😪
Same, he did it on my birthday.
Me too
Same. Everyone has their era...him, Michael Jackson and George Michael were mine.
😓💯❣️
you know what, I still cry over michael. I miss him so much.@@juliehunter8349
INXS is one of my favorites, and one of the major bands of the 80's!
They had an epic bass player, you can hear it in, "Never Tear us apart," "What you need" ""Disappear." My favorite is "Don't Change"
Mine too!
My favorite too! 🤘
Yes it’s a killer bass line in What You Need.
In-Xcess,R.I.P. Michael Hutchence,an incredible band from Australia really miss his voice
Classic Aussie Rock!!Listen Like Theives is another classic!!
Mystify , never tear us apart, suicide blonde, what you need, the one thing, disappear, beautiful girl, don’t change, and good times. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed with any of these.
I’m glad you mentioned Don’t Change (my favorite)
Good times) is in the lost boys soundtrack ? I believe
I vote for your list if it in included mediate🕊🤘😄
The Stairs
Original Sin
Mediate
...and from Michael Hutchence solo album the title track called Elegantly Wasted
SO MANY, all of them great!!
This is still my jam. Forever my jam RIP Michael. That man still makes me sweat.
So do I! ☝🏻
This is one of my favorite 80s dance songs. Dude was loved by so many people especially females. Too bad drugs and depression caught up with him. 80s music in a nutshell.
Welcome to one of the biggest bands of the 80s & 90s !! Saw them 4 times right up until Michaels death 🙏🏼 he had so much charisma and was so sexy to watch and listen to! Sure miss him and the band! There are tons of songs you need to hear!🎶🎶
RIP Michael! He was 🔥🔥
I had such a crush on the lead singer Michael Hutchence..."So slide over here" Me..OK! 🤤
Yes!! Me too!!! I was OBSESSED with his hair. There aren't many men that can pull off a leather jacket with no shirt, and now that I'm old I think he probably smelled pretty ripe, lol Let me give you a nice bath and and shampoo, Michael :)
@@steviekc9057 Nah. He looks like he'd smell like Calvin Klein's Obsession. 😁
@@steviekc9057 hey ladies.
No offence but there was way more to Michael than the way he looked (or smelled) - it gets to me to think he's only seen as some sort of sex symbol, I knew him when we were both young, in the 70's and he, Tim, Jon and Andrew were playing as The Farris Brothers around the Sydney pub scene. I was a year older than him.
I knew him before he became "famous" knew him as a person, with feelings, hopes, dreams - luckily for him he realised some of them, and he deserved to succeed, he was a really nice guy - but all that adoration came at a price, as we all know.
Please try to look past the image and realise he had his problems and concerns, I prefer to think of him as the slightly goofy teenager he was, it freaks me out to think all others see is his face, his hair and the way he looked, please remember he was loved by his friends and there was so much more to him.
I miss him, his energy, his optimism, his drive, his incredible talent. Admire him for those things not his image, but I'm grateful you were fans!
I think all of us were thinking and saying that, LOL!
If this song was on in a store and someone slid in front of me like that I would 100% let it slide!
INXS "Don't Change" is *gorgeous* 💕
Damn Leo! Me and my girls used to dance on the tables whenever this song came on! Yeah, we want to see you get your groove on! More INXS, please!
Nice, keep dancing!!
There's an obscure (here) song by INXS and Jimmy Barnes called Good Times which is a great song
Yes, from The Lost Boys soundtrack. He did a couple songs with them on that soundtrack. Good stuff.
Yes! Then he can watch The Lost Boys movie. Great movie.
Major respect to the people that recommended this. I never thought to recommend this to any reactor. This was the jam back in the day.
What a handsome talented young guy

Other songs inc Suicide Blonde ,Mystify, New Sensation . Michael Hutchence 🥰 🔥
Suicide Blonde is my favourite by them
@@emily7782 yeah, how can anyone not love Suicide blonde!!
Love Mystify. It's my favorite INXS song next to Suicide Blonde.
Elegantly wasted...
Cant wait for you to do ‘The Clash- Rock The Casbah’ and ‘David Bowie - Let’s Dance’ 👍
Great picks
If you are going to do Bowie pick a song off of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars
Hell yeah CLASH!!
Michaels voice was something special. There are so many songs that you should listen to next, Never tear us apart, mystify, beautiful girl, devil inside to name a few
Nile Rodgers produced this track and album hence the funky sound 👍🏼
Rest in peace Michael Hutchance. Great band. He went out with Kylie Minogue for a while. Its pronounced in excess. 🎶
caught this tour back in '88.... Ziggy Marley opened.
The arena was on fire that night!!!
That sounds like an excellent show
@@ajruther67 Ziggy apparently imbibed too much and only played one or two songs...
INXS was incredible!!! one of the best arena shows I've seen...
and this music still holds up really well!
@@n.a.mcintosh4697 Omgosh, Ziggy, why couldn't have waited until after the show. What a huge bummer. I've never had the pleasure of seeing Ziggy or Bob live in concert.
From their album "Kick" - I think everyone in Australia owned a copy when it came out in 1987! That album had 4 Top 10 hits [that is in the USA not just Australia] this one 'Need You Tonight', 'Devil Inside', 'Never Tear Us Apart', and 'New Sensation' - all great tracks - also check out 'Suicide Blonde' from their album " X " , that was from 1990. And as we say here in Oz do yourself a favour - check them all out plus the rest that I am sure are also recommended in the comments - was a great band - and all the ladies loved Michael.
My favourite is their third album, Shaboo Shabba
INXS was everything back in the day, and all the girls were in love with him, including myself! Their music is amazing.
Now lets get Mr V to watch the film clip of "Devil Inside" and watch his head explode
Haha
YEP!!!! "Devil Inside".... Good one!!!
If you want to watch his head explode have him watch the video to “Taste It!” I remember that was one of those they could only play the video late at night. Lol It’s tame for today’s standards, but it’s a hell of a lot hotter and sexier than some of the raunchy crap that’s out now.
Good call.
@@ashleydixon4613 - there's nothing like whats being simulated on the bike though (I still have no idea how that didn't get it banned)
From the same album: Never Tear Us Apart, Mystify...in fact the whole “Kick” album an absolute classic. 👍🏼
It's one of those rare albums that's great from start to finish. Every song a hit.
Mystify Rocks❤️❤️❤️😁
Found hung to death...jerking
INXS wrote the soundtrack to my childhood and adolescence. RIP Michael Hutchens. He was such a beautiful and incredibly sexy man. INXS brings back so many memories. Such great music.
Original Sin was their first big hit. My Australian bf back in the 80s was crazy about this band.
INXS short for In Exess...they were one of the hottest bands in the 80s and early 90s. The singer died in 97 in a hotel room of apparent suicide.
Autoerotic asphyxiation.
@@iamperplexed4695 he did say apparently
@@iamperplexed4695 it was suicide, anyone say different does not know the circumstances of his last few years
@@napoleonwilson6499 Well i say differently and am well aware as they were a favorite of mine from Junior high on and followed the news when he died. Even his band mates don't know for sure if it was accidental or purposeful so what makes you think you know?
In excess, but yes...
“What You Need” next ♥️💖♥️
Live please!!
Love that one! Still sad whoever requested this didn’t put “Need you tonight/mediate..” Everyone has cut it right when the drums start.. saxophone solo and all missed...-
YAS YAS YAS 👏 👏👏
Finally!!!! I have requested often and am thrilled you reacted. Hope you enjoyed ☺️
The one band I never got to see live, and I so wish I had. Michael Hutchence was one of the most charismatic lead singers ever, and I had major hair envy. The One Thing, Suicide Blonde, Devil Inside, Never Tear Us Apart.
INXS, or in excess as it is pronounced, is an Australian rock band. The song that will appeal to you is 'Elegantly Wasted'. You should also check out 'The Devil Inside' or the scorching wildfire of 'Good Time Tonite' with Jimmy Barnes. It's from the movie the Lost Boys and will raise the hair on your neck. Suicide Blonde is also very necessary.
Also imagine if this band came out today, brand new and never heard before, doing exactly the same thing they did back then. It would revolutionize pop and rock, both of which are in the septic tank these days. It would be an injection of pure class in the era of WAP.
Dude there's a whole world of INXS out there for you to react to, like you could do a whole year on their hits. Do it. One of the most influential and greatest bands of all time, with like a billion hit songs.
RIP Michael Hutchence. A very tragic story. Sadly missed. 😢
INXS were way ahead if their time. Representing an alternate universe 1980s that was just way cooler through their videos then the '80's really were. LOL. Incredible band full of amazing musicians. And Michael Hutchence the lead singer, hands-down the greatest lead singer/Rockstar ever. He was like if Jim Morrison and Mick Jagger had a baby. Cooler then cool.
Also the one thing by INSX
When you get a chance the video shows a hell of a dinner party ‼️🤣
Edit: INXS 🤣
Yes, it's my favourite. Love the spicy buffet dinner 😂
One of my favorite bands. I had a huge crush on Michael Hutchence, the lead singer. He passed way too soon of suicide. So many great singers and band members have died too young. RIP Michael
They were a pub band in Perth, AU before they made one of the earliest videos on MTV, "Don't Change." Even when they got huge, they brought it live like a bar band. Their concerts were joyful.
I called them inks for the longest time too. hehehe. That whole album is actually pretty good, back in the day when we had a "b side"
Should have watched the long version that blends into Mediate
Yeeeeeeeeesssssssssssssssssss! 😩 I love the first half too- however.. i do not consider it the full song without “mediate”. drums start to kick and the channels reacting end it- they miss the saxophone and all-whomever’s requesting this isn’t putting the full name..
RIP Michael. What a group. Made a hell of an impact. Feels just like yesterday 😁
INXS opened and toured with QUEEN.. INXS Said they learned a lot about the music industry and touring from Queen, like how to treat opening bands… Because Freddie Mercury and Brian May were so helpful and encouraging. And INXS was also close friends with U2, In fact Bono wrote a song about Michael Hutchins after his death.…”Stuck in a Moment You Can’t Get Out Of”
Michael was one of those guys that every girl wanted and guy wanted to be him. Had the looks, voice, the whole package. They were the type that their music would have lasted today if Michael wouldn't have taken his own life.
He didn't purposefully take his own life. It was sexual asphyxiation... accident. I cried for days.
Correct Donna, coming from a 49yr old proud straight male and the dude from skid row sebastian bach
@@RockyMtnRebecca no, it was suicide
There’s back & forth on how he died. It was announced as suicide but Paula Yates, his ex partner is the one who said it was auto erotic asphyxiation. I think only Michael knows.
@@stevenmckee6134 they ruled he must have had help by someone putting that on the door the state he was in, then they panicked and left in a documentary I watched, ive seen those contraptions in action, they usually have a quick release for safety purposes.....
Was lucky enough to see INXS in concert - second row! So many great songs...The One Thing, Devil Inside, Disappear, Suicide Blonde, Don't Change, Mystify, Heaven Sent, Never Tear Us Apart
More INXS!!! New Sensation, Mystify, Bitter Tears...they have a million good songs.
It's pronounced "In Excess". They were an Aussie band, one of our biggest, and were at their career height in the 80s and 90s. They sold 70 million albums worldwide, but sadly, their lead singer Michael Hutchence was found dead in his hotel room after sadly taking his own life in 1997 at the age of 37. The band also comprised of 3 brothers: Tim, Andrew and John Farriss. Andrew, along with Michael, wrote a good number of songs for the band, including this one, as well as "Suicide Blonde", "Original Sin" and "Never tear us apart".
If you want to check out more of their songs, I would advise you check out their album Kick, which was their biggest seller.
When your Australian boyfriend sings INXS songs to you 🤓❤️ eekkk I loovvvveeeee it
And I need him too 🤣🤣
So Good you Trusting your Subs Mr V. We won't let you down!! 🔥 🥰
Any of the songs other listed but I also love their two earlier songs and you can see how they have grown, Don’t Change and The One Thing. I also like Guns in the Sky;it’s got a great fit and the topic is relatable today. So excited!!
Oh, and there’s an extension to this one-Need You Tonight that is a second song called Mediate which is also kinda cool.
Enjoy!!! I know we all will enjoy your reactions!!!
I got to see them twice in the Cleveland area. The last time I saw them was outdoors in a downpour. Most of the audience didn’t stick around, but for those of us that did, INXS was freaking fantastic.
Just 3 short months later Michael Hutchence was gone. So sad.
Miss you Hutch. ❤
Don't Change is my favorite!
The greatest band from my home country of Australia! (Apologies to any AC/DC fans on here) They were simply invincible! Please go to down this rabbit hole; you’re gonna find some absolute gems on here (“Never Tear Us Apart”, “New Sensation”, “Listen Like Thieves”, “The One Thing”, “What You Need”, just to name a few). The lead singer died tragically at quite a young age. 😢
Sucks that this much talent was taken to soon... he hung himself at age 37.. He had amazing chemistry... There was a show called "Rock Star" where the remaining band members with Dave Navarro judged lead singers to become the new INXS lead singer. ...
